Just saw you today on Bob's channel and watching some more of your videos. I believe duck tape will be a help folding the dog bath to conform to your opening. I love that idea! A bucket beside the bath with spray hose (I got mine for less than $10 at Lowes.) And after shower reverse and pump back into bucket. A tee pee type shower curtain hooked in ceiling (using a reacher) to hook and unhook. I bought a folding one at $ Tree that I use in my van when I don't want to exert myself. (LOL). I wish I were close to you to help you with ease of living. You are probably already in Quartsite now and I hope you have made your van comfortable. I usually camp in a van, but I car camp also and find it easier for nighttime potty breaks, to use a vintage bed pan lined with bags and horse pellets. (Tractor Supply) I use a disposable pad underneath. Does your chair have a swivel? Have fun in the desert. I live in South Carolina and will not be coming that far out west. Happy travels.
Thank you for all the ideas! All good ones to try. I like the duck tape idea. Shower curtain will be a little more difficult. I am not ready to put permanent fixtures on my van and velcro doesn't work on my ceiling. My ceiling is some kind of smooth vinyl or something. Thanks for all the ideas. I want to go through the East coast next year so maybe we will have a chance to meet.
hi Joan, i’m Bonnie, just found you on Bob Wells interview with you, I JUST SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL on today Tuesday January 17/ 2023) love the idea of possibly using this setup for Showing in the Van, thanks for sharing your creative ideas with us.gave you a big thumbs up.
Electric kerosene pump that you fill your kerosene burner up with is an excellent way to suck out the water. Can even add extra piece of hose to the end for more length.
If you submerge the hose into the water then place your thumb over one end and put it out of your van so the end is lower than the water level when you release the thumb the water will flow out of the tub until the siphon is broken. That way you won’t need to suck on the end to fill up the hose. Hopefully I explained that good enough to be helpful. I do this to empty horse troughs and to lower the water in my fish tank.
I saw this dog bath on another channel thinking I might get one to have just in case. Still hoping to visit Quartzite in Jan.I am sorry about your parents decline. I lost my dad last Dec. and I am taking care of my mom she is only a block away she bathes and dresses herself so that helps . Hopefully I get totally moved in with her soon. I am totally down sizing taking my clothes that’s about it. I worked in nursing homes 32 years and I do have my baby brother and a cousin in one that I worked in for 15 yrs.
It has a drain. I wont be able to lift it out to get the water out and I dont want to cut holes in van. I will just siphon the water out. Then the doggie bath is light enough for me to lift out and clean. Will see how it works when I get a chance to try it.
Prayers for you and your folks 🙏❤️
Thanks Christina!

That sounds much nicer than sucking on it. I will try that. Thank you

I have one I put it in my privacy tent as a floor
You sound like you have a lot on your hands as well. If you see me in Quartzite in January come say hi.
@@out-spokenwheelsonwheels5870 I will
You could use a fish tank siphon hose to drain the tub, maybe. Great idea! I love it! ❤
What if you had somone cut a small hole and make a drain ?

Or get a battery operated siphoner, they work fantastic and they’re fast!
