In the webtoon both weren't even close to being this friendly before certain incidents brought them closer. He was still cold to her and scared her a lot and she avoided him. I found that important because then the switch to him having a hopeless crush on her was that much funnier and made Kyungsuk so adorable lmao. I suppose they're giving the two of them more backstory in the drama than in the webtoon and are making them closer in their middle school years, but so far, this is just a softlight version of all the tension they're supposed to have. Neither had feelings for each other at this point of time and definitely weren't close enough to joke.

I feel happy that this drama is doing justice to the beautiful webtoon. I'm sure the writer will be extremely overwhelmed that someone else could show what she wanted to show on a larger scale and doing justice to her efforts!
This drama will only have 16 episodes, compared to the original webtoon which is MUCH longer, so it makes sense that they have to cut out a lot of the tension and hurry things along a little. Personally I really liked how they've started to form the friendship between these two - just sitting and eating lunch together, nothing overly dramatic. Yes, the webtoon is better, but what drama/movie has ever been as good as the original book/comic/manga? 😂
