I always thought Eric's score in GoldenEye is what set that movie apart musically from other James Bond films and really gave it that Cold War tech edge that I could only get from something like Command & Conquer: Red Alert. I thought it was perfect for that world. And then when I heard this, probably a decade and a half later from when I first saw GoldenEye, I knew it sounded like GoldenEye immediately. Just the way Eric balances the strings against the rest of the instruments is so recognizeable. He really is underrated. The gentle pads that underscore the piano line and give emotional tone to the sequence while waiting for the strings to enter. It's so well-made.
I love the contrast of the techno background played against the emotional music. Perfectly represents Leeloo's confusion and fear against the future world she just woke up in.
I think this is my favorite movie score of all time.
science fiction cinema has so many great themes: terminator, tron: legacy, pacific rim, etc.
YEAHS! (This was an IMMEDIATE mood during the movie.)
Imagine a human waking up to the future. Everything is so different. Is it a feeling of Wonder or Tragedy?
My favourite movie of all time ;)
2:30 the violin and then 2:49 the oboe, with this beautiful melody. Omg! I love this track!
I... absolutely adore this tune. To me it is just so timeless.
Christ it’s amazing but that chord at the end as Leeloo jumps off… incredible. I feel that in my DNA
This song gives so much hope, goosebumps and liberty
this sounds like the future...
Can't wait to be respawned into it with my family 💗
The beautiful retro futurism of the late 90s and early 2000s...
The future had arrived
Powerful and beautiful, always loved this track since the first time I heard it on film ..Respect to The Man ;) ....
YEP! This is what GOT me into the movie...
"She Dove Off!"
The level of my admiration of this track is beyond any words!!!!
I never really notice, until today, that the oboe at the end is doing the melody of the diva dance ! Really well done !
