Fumio was a close friend of mine in the early 1970s in Tokyo when he had the band Far Out. We did a lot of shows together with our bands and were Atlantic records label mates. We used to meet at a club called Byblos often late at night and his English language skills were pretty good if memory serves. We brainstormed rock n roll fashion ideas and custom studded stars onto the legs of our jeans around the same time in 1972. We lost touch when I left Japan in the mid 70s. So sad he died young in 2004. I hear before he passed he became a devout Buddhist. I'm happy to be able to see some of his videos on RUclips. It takes me right back to Tokyo 1970. Thanks for posting!
I remember Fumio, and his beautiful wife. Jericho introduced me to them many years ago in LA. So sad to hear he passed away from lung cancer. I wonder where the rest of the band and their families are doing today.
