In past days, I've actually gained a deeper appreciation for this movie, since it tries to be original on so many levels, and succeeds mostly. This is very good!!
i think alot of people are like me and remembered this from their childhood, but couldn't find it. i've been looking for YEARS literally. thanks for uploading.
Thank you for uploading this. I added it to my "movie" list years ago and watch it every once in a while. I love the novel versions of the books more than Disney!
Thank you so much!! you've really made my day!!!!! I've been looking everywhere for this and even to buy, however they didn't have the dvd in my region.
i was reading the book i got the only copy left from an old bookstore and i rember the diney animatted one and wondered if they made through the looking glass thank you for uploading this
Sure, but I personally have no problem with it. It's a very surreal, modernised adaption with melencholic undertones, and I like how they turned a young mother into Alice instead of the daughter. Kate Beckinsale is awesome!!! And I think a real 7 years six month old could'nt acting so well, and make that diaologues and so on...
I can't wait to see SyFy's tv miniseries in December and Tim Burton's movie March 2010- I'm sure these two will get a compelty new take on the classic stories.
@brotos Many movies have been made from both books: Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass. What I think cookiemonsterisEVIL was trying to say is that the new Tim Burton movie was made to be like a sequel to the old Disney cartoon of Alice in Wonderland. The new movie has a lot of the same plot as Through the Looking Glass but they connected characters from that story to the ones most people know from Wonderland already.
@mikomikasa Yes. It is true. I saw this movie when I was a kid. Unfortunately I didn't remember much of it. I remembered the chess piece scene but that wasn't much to go on. I read the book and finally found out what the movie was. Glad its uploaded.
Ooh, I love this movie! I've been looking everywhere for it (TTLG is one of my fav books!) problem is, I might have to special order it, everytime I go to Borders (the only store where I live that carries movies) they don't have it ^^;
@Zicoxite mm well I wasn't talking about the new Tim Burton film. It was a much older film than this one. It starred a little girl. But I understand that there would be multiple films because these are based on books.
@Adler36 and @xxEmmaaLouiseexx, look at it this way no movie version really had a seven and a half year old girl playing the role of Alice, they were ten and older some of them .Not even the Disney cartoon, she was drawn so that she looked to be eleven years old maybe ten,the only one I think would even come close would be the 1987 version she looked around eight. So I don't think the age mattered so much.
ummm why is it the mother going throught the looking glass instead of alice cause even though i know directors never follow the entier book when a book is going to be made in a movie but shouldnt they have kept the part were it was alice going throught the looking glass instead of her mother???????

I love this one! I love the way they did it, plus it stayed so true to the book. Thanks for uploading it!
Thank you for uploading this. I added it to my "movie" list years ago and watch it every once in a while. I love the novel versions of the books more than Disney!
This is definitely my favourite-est version of this wonderful tale :) I know it's low budget, but it just seems so perfect!
I think this was on BBC TV at Christmas several years ago...I remember seeing it...as soon as she said "It's a mirror. Like that one" I knew.

"oh tiger lily i wish you could talk"
honey, you might not like what they have to say.
This is like the version closest to the book, even if Alice is a mother instead of a seven year old girl with kittens.
isn't there a much older version of this? but thanks for uploading this vid! :D
No, but it's the best adaption of the second book.
excellent
THANK YOU SO MUCH...
Yes, VERY close! (Except ending and beginning...)
Yup that's her
True! Well, it was "just a dream", you know. ;)
Magical.
me gustaria que la dieran en español latino la estoy pidiendo hace mucho tiempo
@felic70 NO, it's a straight adaption of "Through the Looking Glass"...
Buy it on Blu-Ray Disc or DVD. :-)
this is alice through the looking glass....its when she goes back to wonderland when shes older
Alice as the mum? haha, but it's true that she has grown up in the sequal Through the Looking Glass than her first adventures in Wonderland.
Ooo, cool!! Thanks :]
I've seen the on with Whoopi Goldberg. It's really good!
No. But ironically, Hallmark Entertainment produced just one year later an adaption with Tina Majorino and Whoopi Goldberg.

@mikomikasa it's actually on hulu.com the whole movie is :)
the mother is alice, when she's grown up
Did this crew also make an Alice in Wonderland? If so, I'd like to see it.
Nice I have got the DVD of that
Does this series/ production also have the first part? Just wondering.
Read the book. It's surreal!!!
@MisLottie02 that would be magic in the mirror. marvin8723 has it on his channel, including the sequel. you should check it out.

Does anyone know where i can find the soundtrack for this film?

Is this close to the book?
@mylittelucy I know. ;-)
ummm why is it the mother going throught the looking glass instead of alice cause even though i know directors never follow the entier book when a book is going to be made in a movie but shouldnt they have kept the part were it was alice going throught the looking glass instead of her mother???????
