@@Dolorosakil poor? As in not good? Holy shit this riff is huge! What an incredible song! Oh, are you one of those who can only quantify a song by its BPM? That’s too bad. This song is awesome, regardless of the writer. This should be a huge hit. Rifftastic.
Damn what a song. The new album is insane, nowadays most bands suck with their new albums but Carcass still has the same vibe as back in the day! Livestock Marketplace is one of my favorites from their new EP.
Pretty cool song, people need to accept that Carcass isn't doing grindcore anymore. Being a vegan myself, I totally agree with the lyrical message. Although, Unfit for Human Consumption got the message across pretty well even though it wasn't completely blatant. What did you expect from a band formed by a previous member of Napalm Death? The whole Death N' Roll sound is interesing and Carcass seems to like it, although I prefer Carcass with a bit of a grindier/ deathier sound, but it is still some cool Metal. And to all those who say it sounds like Megadeth, have you listened to the riff from Unfit For Human Consumption? Megadeth is my favorite band too, but I don't see too much similarity.
I think it's great that Carcass does stuff like this; It's good for what it is and deserves a release, but it would totally disrupt the flow of Surgical Steel. This band has never been a one trick pony. The best.
Death 'n' Roll for 2014! This music is fucking awesome, brought me back to the Swansong era (my fav Carcass album!). I can hardly wait for the new EP! (I will buy it for sure!)
Damned right. The analogy is pure genius. Anyone remember the term “meat market “? Jeff nails it to the wall, AGAIN! Where your dancing partner is dead. Is dead. Fucking awesome . How about, “Death Disco!”? Steer I’m assuming. Too fucking great for this mortal world
To those of you saying carcass isn't doing grind anymore, I'd say- read the rewievs. This song is a part of an EP of loose ends according to Bill Steer. If this means an end to carcass' grindcore so be it. But if you have heard the surgical steel album you might get an other impression. Carcass has a tendensy of doing a wide spectre of diffrerent styles of music and has done that since 1991. The musical direcions aren't set. That is for sure. This is not the first time they have confused their fans, me being one of them, but one thing is for sure- If it is going to be an anthoer album it's most likely to be something else. Their history says that. and at last- pardon my bad english
After not liking this the first few times I heard it because it wasn't melodeath, I started wanting to listen to it for what it was, and ended up enjoying it. Just set aside your expectations.
I guess some of the carcass fans have never heard Wake Up and Smell The Carcass Lp. There's tunes like this one there (slow, melodic and almost radio friendly). Bill Steer founded Firebird (a blues trio) after the band breakdown just after Swansong. Jeff even recorded a Cuntry (as he called) Lp. So as you can see they are versatile musicians that experiment here and there once in a while. Just be grateful that the reunite and put a hell of a record 20 years after they broke the group!!
If only Megadeth could write more than about 1.5 good riffs. Their shit is bland, boring, pissy, and like diet metal. Metal with 1/3 less calories. Just because Jeff’s voice could somehow be compared with Mustaine here, doesn’t make them sound like Megadeth. And if Megadeth wrote riffs like this, I might think they were worth pissing on in the middle of the street if they were on fire. Well not the whole band. Just Mustaine. What a grade A dickhead.
Slaughterhouse blues?)) Nice name for a new music style))) After all they've already invented a couple of styles, why not do it one more rotten time?))

I think when hearing this that swansong wasn't a mistake. They should do more of this on albums seriously its good and I really like swansong but I like a lot of the more rugged shit make it more balenced or have a heavy cd and a light cd ready to follow.
Same here. Not necessarily a bad song in itself, but definitely not on the same level as the rest of Surgical Steel. Having the Japanese pressing of Surgical Steel will be enough for me, I think.
The song has a lot of ' Swansong' in it. I can see why it didn't make it on Surgical Steel. Not bad but no Surgical Steel material. It's a good B-side though.
The difference between Carcass fans now and those from 21 years ago is that today, they are WAY too easy to please. It has nothing to do with the band's so-called musical progress, or their transition from grind to "melodeath". It has to do with the fact that hey aren't even TRYING here.
I'm thinking more Alice Cooper than Dave Mustaine. If Alice Cooper did the vocals on this track, this would get played out the ass on the radio no doubt.
Carcass , this song is so similar to my 2008 radio hit " Sick to Love " of my Anual Compilation band , tomorrow receive my lawsuit to the United Kingdom , bro for the friendship dont publishing in radio broadcast again ..., i lawsuit you for 700'000 dollars .
This sounds like if Cattle Decapitation were asked to write a Megadeth song.
+SuperVideoman12 or simply sounds like carcass....
what a cattle..urban legends carcass. dont mix it
Whatever you wanna call it.. it is awesome.

They stopped grind with Heartwork, which is often considered their best album. Don't think anyone's really bitter about that
I dig Swansong but the vocals on this one here are really bad.
BigMuff75
No, they're not.
Gothbag
Wow, I have to succumb to this valid argument.
BigMuff75
Well, I just expressed an opinion as a fact, just like you did.
I think it's great that Carcass does stuff like this; It's good for what it is and deserves a release, but it would totally disrupt the flow of Surgical Steel. This band has never been a one trick pony. The best.
The fine line between Carcass, Testament, Megadeth style ;)
Death 'n' Roll for 2014!
This music is fucking awesome, brought me back to the Swansong era (my fav Carcass album!). I can hardly wait for the new EP! (I will buy it for sure!)
I’m glad you are patient and waited till Fall of 2020.

WTF How did this slip by me? I've rewatched all Surgical Steel videos dozens of times..
When I listen to random Carcass tracks high af I just pick the ones that sound the coolest
Riff that starts after 2:49
Killer riff! Got a great groove to it.
No but seriously, The whole song is a reflection of human society reflected in lyrics about a slaughter house.
Damned right. The analogy is pure genius. Anyone remember the term “meat market “? Jeff nails it to the wall, AGAIN! Where your dancing partner is dead. Is dead. Fucking awesome . How about, “Death Disco!”? Steer I’m assuming. Too fucking great for this mortal world
very cool track and with a good musical production.
Uk extreme metal carcass excelent band

:o got impressed by this song.. i liked it!! replay!
Agreed, this song is awesome 🤟
I've been waiting so long to hear this song.. Now that I've heard it, I'm pleasantly surprised.

*Hi from Istanbul...* 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is great !! The puzzle is now complete !!
Sounds very groove oriented. I could picture this being off of Far Beyond Driven or Vulgar.
This is just awesome, different but great.
U.a das melhores bandas de death metal se não for a melhor de todos os tempos
cool song! Kinda sounds like Megadeth!
Megadeth should sound like this.
Was just about too say was Dave featured in this song?? 😂
U mean megadeth sounds like them
If only Megadeth could write more than about 1.5 good riffs. Their shit is bland, boring, pissy, and like diet metal. Metal with 1/3 less calories. And yet again, Carcass make a song that sounds like nothing they've done before and they pull it off.
A different kind of vocal pattern than might be expected. I don't dislike it, I think it would be a grower for me.
Very Death 'n' Roll... I
Slaughterhouse blues?)) Nice name for a new music style))) After all they've already invented a couple of styles, why not do it one more rotten time?))
Dennis Kukushkin don't forget the dead disco to
And they invent yet another sub genre! Lol. Love carcass. Brilliant band

Sounds like a mixture of swansong and surgical steel
I think when hearing this that swansong wasn't a mistake. They should do more of this on albums seriously its good and I really like swansong but I like a lot of the more rugged shit make it more balenced or have a heavy cd and a light cd ready to follow.
Ah... well, it's pretty apparent why this was left off of Surgical Steel.
Same here. Not necessarily a bad song in itself, but definitely not on the same level as the rest of Surgical Steel. Having the Japanese pressing of Surgical Steel will be enough for me, I think.
In terms of pace and style, sure. But this song is sick on its own terms. Im game for a "Slaughterhouse blues" style album like this.
I accept another Swansong... do it fast and take my money!
Yeahhhhh!!!
Yes yes. This is awesome. What a fucking riff!
still the best Rot 'N' Roll! Though sounds like they've been listening to a bit too much early 90's Megadave.
1:33min to 1:48min plagium
Que tal temonsasaasasasazo se pasaron este bandon.
Guys, what the fuck is wrong with all of you? This is like a groovy ballad, that you can sing along with. This shit is going to be insane live.
I'm glad they left this off surgical steel

Now I want a cheese burger with bacon, grilled mushrooms, and onions.
It sounds like Megadeth should sound nowadays.
fuck yeah, steer's pushing that melody again
killer track, even if it isn't a neck breaker
Great song, awesome video. Death N' Roll, bitches!
Death and roll, damn.. here we go again,...
Carcass riff style and vocal delivery have always reminded me of Megadeth. This song just makes it a little more obvious.
Dave Mustaine esta cantando?
listen to da ibanez solos souund like 21st century blues
Bad Ass!!!!!!!
yeah! beeatch
Bom prakarái
Sounds like a heavy crossbreed between Swansong and Blackstar. With better overall production, of course..
I take it that this did not make it onto Surgical Steel?
+Dolorosakil I didn't know there was a subsequent EP. Cool.
Seems there's a full version on soundcloud now.
Cool tune. Kinda wish they threw Zochrot onto Surgical Steel though.
This seems like something from the Blackstar/Blackstar Rising - Barbed Wire Soul album. Still a good song, though--I guess.
Their fucking best!
Me recuerda a Megadeth
The song has a lot of ' Swansong' in it. I can see why it didn't make it on Surgical Steel. Not bad but no Surgical Steel material. It's a good B-side though.
This reminds me of Megadeth.
it"s sounds like if death metal, glam rock meet together
I hear "ROCK CANDY" By Montrose in this track....
I wonder what these guys do to cheer themselves up?
I like it,sure it's not the best but definitely not horrible.

really wrong
true
Well they knew it was not right for the main album that's why they released on this
2.30
Wait. We are the cattle?
Hey guys, do you remember when you were able to blow us away with grindcore???? Necroticism was the zenith of your career....
Carcass: dissapointing "trves" since '93.
+tonykratos nah
I'm thinking more Alice Cooper than Dave Mustaine. If Alice Cooper did the vocals on this track, this would get played out the ass on the radio no doubt.
Nah ... nothing against other genres but i miss carcass grindcore ....
I'm not sure how to feel about this...
for you all saying this sounds megadethish, tell me one song of them that this one sounds similar to
I think that they need mike ammott on board again
why carcass why??
It's like a bastard child of Carcass' Swansong and Megadeth's Super Collider.
Bland.
Carcass of bodom
