Interesting interview, a lot of people don't know about the straight route into a PhD from a BSc and such. The UK I know require a 1:1 Hons Bachelors. So inspiring!
it all depends on experience in research. the reason masters student have more of a chance is cos they have done 2 thesis where as you have from bachelors
Thanks a lot, Dr. Ojo! And kudos to you Mr. Pelumi I stumbled upon your channel just a few days ago and it has been quite expository so far. I have a retinue of questions to ask, but for now, I'd like to know, If I already got a positive reply from a prof/ prospective supervisor from 5 months back, and was unable to follow up due to a few impediments, is it too late to do that now?
@@BestmanAcademy Oh alright Doc, thanks so much for your response. I hope you're doing great? So, he replied to my cold email, saying that he was accepting new students and I was welcome to apply. Now, at the time My friend advised me to take the GRE before the application window closed, to give me an edge. But it was kinda late already. This was in November/December last year. And it was my first/only attempt at sending out a cold email.
I am also a Biochemistry graduate who wants to go into Nutrition but I have been seeing that I need prerequisite courses such as Anatomy and human Nutrition which I didn't do. How do I go about this, please?
Super smart but that heavy accent will be a problem for American ears…. Many students fail at UC Berkeley because they can not comprehend the foreign professor. Thank God for the curve….
Thank you Dr. Ojo for this opportunity, I hope it helps prospective students!! Bestman💯💯
Am so impressed with ur motivations with regards to application

I never knew that knowing an alumni can help this process. I've learned new.

Hi George,
It's a bit hard to offer advice on this without some context about the "positive" reply. Could you shed more light?

Did he take GRE? And what's his score?
Yes. Not sure but definitely >300
Also, is that PhD fully funded?
Yes.
Sir, is direct Ph.D. possible in agricultural courses?
Probably. As we discussed in this video, you should email the specific program of interest to confirm.
@@BestmanAcademy thank you sir
