sekar putri12345 here's the thing you stupid, stupid, child. It was season 2 that DIDN'T follow the manga. The problem was that season 3 DID. Having season 3 suddenly follow the manga made it so that it was very inconsistent and wierd.

This is so true
This song sings to me on a very personal level. It portrays the struggling with one's self and the changes you go through as you realize the disparity of the world. Then when you are destroyed by its corruption, despair and twistedness. You can't stand looking at people who are naive around you. Lost in despair, you search for answers but there are none. Struggling with weakness, and becoming stronger. Then Realizing your existence is nothing, you are nobody. Yet despite all this, you find something that you care for. You don't want their innocence destroyed like your own was. You want to protect that. (this can refer not to a lover, but to your inner self, your true feelings). but that person is now gone, and you don't want to be forgotten. You are left behind. They are grown up. You want to be remembered as you were before. You are so alone, caught in the memories of the past you can help but to be paralyzed by it. Realizing you could not go back to who you were, you accept that. Knowing that your two halves would die together. Yet you still struggle to try to retain your past self. (talk about masochistic).
Seriously, this song is a cyclic struggle with depression and change.

This is how I see the song 0:00 - 2:10 is Kaneki session one and 2:11 - 3:50 is him at session two ;l sort of depressing how even when he changed his path, people he loved ended up dying.
Sad. He turned into a monster , but he always wanted to protect his close ones.

I really can't tell what magic this song and music has in it, I cries buckets of tears whenever I listen to this song alone, i would somehow look deep in this song and will cry...
The song describes the feeling when you change and cant be the old you anymore and so you try to find the way to go back to who you were but you can't and you end up reminiscing and finally realize you have to move on. You changed. So due to the change you try to understand the new you, but you can't and so you feel lost in the world.

I was doing something important then this came up on my playlist and I just stoped and listened and sang in English. I almost started to cry because i'm on Tokyo Ghoul re and Just remembered the last episode of Tokyo Ghoul A which I just finnished today.

I could hear this song in my subconcious while playing when i topped many exams and got full marks. It is a big deal for us infians. I used to be a untalented and looser. I worked so hard and became so dead that i used to study 24/7. I forgotten how to laugh and smile and live normal life. I didnt had feeling for any girls and no crushes. This song made realise .
