I disagree with helpi not being controlled by the mimic endo itself. Helpi has the same orange eyes just like the Mimic which means that the Mimic endo probably still has control over the VANNI mask. Also I don’t think burn trap is controlled by Vanny, I think it’s controlled by Glitch trap after Vanny had put Glitch traps code into the Mimic endo then turning it into Burntrap. Glitch trap which is the Mimic program mimicking Afton probably wants to control his original body which is the Mimic endo. That’s why Burntrap also has purple eyes because it’s possessed by Glitch trap itself.
Orange eyed Helpi is just most likely foreshadowing the Mimic, instead of just being the Mimic itself. And in the video, I said Helpi works for the Mimic, like Vanny works for Glitchtrap. And The Mimic does have control of Helpi, since it can upgrade it. With Burntrap, the thing that's holding me back of it being controlled by Glitchtrap directly is that we already see Glitchtrap in PQ1. But Burntrap being controlled by Glitchtrap is also a likely option.
Spring Bonnie is A mimic1, that's how it was able to replicate tape girl's voice, but not THE mimic1 program. The actual mimic1 program created another mimic1 based on the situation

heres something i dont see a lot of people talking about. i think the recreation of the mci in hw wasnt made by mimic/glitchtrap. i think that was just the final level of the fazbear virtual experience. the glitchtrap we see in that level is just a regular character doing what its programed to. after all by the time you reach that level glichtrap isnt fully put together. so how is the fully formed glitchtrap there? you even have to get one of the tapes from that level. with that in mind it makes more since to think thats where mimic got the afton persona. and what the real glitchtrap does in the game lines up more with the mimics character. immedietly attacking as soon as its able to.
The books say the mimic was mass produced in Freddy’s locations, could the mimic 01 program been inside the toy animatronics and maybe even the endo 02 that walks around in fnaf 2? It would also make sense since in the books the mimic likes to kill people in a twisted game of hide and seek, William couldn’t have done that during the mci because there were people around. Could the mimic have seen the dci instead because in save them we see a bunch of bodies scattered around the location. And maybe that’s where the mimic saw the glitchtrap suit because the springlock suits were trapped behind the saferooms in the 1985 location after they were seeded up, so William had to do with the old springbonnie suit from fredbear’s singin show
Here is something people arent considering: the Mimic1 program is an analog to Steel Wool themselves and their Fnaf games. "A template style program that takes elements of existing stories and rearranges them into new stories" is a very obvious, meta, sarcastic take on what Steel Wool is doing with the property. I genuinely dont think this was their original idea. Like Scott, I think Steel Wool are very in tune with fan reception, and write entries with fan consensus in mind. So, kinda like how Scott was disappointed with Fnaf world and eventually made an entire sequence in that game where an obvious stand in for himself vents about people hating Fnaf world and how he had to make a new game to fix things, I think Steel Wool had an entire Return of Afton storyline in mind, got raked over the coals for it, and took all that "emotionless cash grab" criticism and made a new antagonist, who was created by the emotionless new owners of Fnaf who wanted a cash grab by exploiting the old characters. So I think we should really think more about how Mimic1 is just a response to the criticism against Steel Wool and see how that may or may not factor into other areas of their first couple games. I'm sure there are connections we are overlooking.
And the reason I think their original idea was Return of Afton and not the Mimic is because of how very unambiguously Help Wanted 1 was referencing William Afton and then hard shifted with Security Breach which heavily implied there was a lot more going on at the Pizzaplex than just one person, Afton or not, and whose change in story was partly responsible for its poor reception. And the cut content from SB seems like it was very clearly meant to be an actually resurrected Afton. I know the Mimic can... Ya know, Mimic people, so I wont use those cut SB lines as definite proof, one can simply argue it's still the Mimic, but something in my gut tells me they were meant to be for a real William Afton. And them being cut at least could be because they, as I said in the original comment, decided to change directions when people collectively rolled their eyes at William Afton returning again

It’s a good theory but my only issue with it is if vanny was a mini mimic1 then why it Vanessa be freed by princess quest if princess quest is only controlled by the glitchtrap mimic
In PQ3 we open the door Vanessa's mind was trapped in. She gets full control of her mind again, removing the Vanny AI. So Vanessa goes back to normal and Vanny seemingly lives on in the Vanni mask.
I am not confused about why the mimic would mimic afton but I believe that glitchtrap is afton because it is physically impossible for it to be the mimic and that's because glitchtrap literally MIND CONTROLS vanny which is impossible for an AI to do.

i like the general theory, it is an interesting take i do have a major issue with the end. burntrap, no matter how you interpret or slice it, is not, and can never be, the mimic endo from ruin they are just different, like, extremely different. you could've easily said that burntrap is a body for glitchtrap which is why it tries to be afton. you dont have to involve the actual physical mimic in it, because, it doesnt make any sense at all honestly, it baffles me that like, the first wave of SB theories, where burntrap is a glitchtrap body, is still the most sensable one for what is happing but people keep having to make a new idea for what burntrap is and they get further away from logic every time
