Cole was spitting unity and they tryna cancel him on Twitter, when he be out here protesting like the rest of us. People need to stop being fake woke, and actually listen to understand, not just hear what you want cause you need to yell at someone to take out you frustrations. Soon as he dropped the song the attacked him, just like he said they did, and just how he said they need to stop.
Exactly. He doesn't speak because he's in the streets they say he not saying enough. He gives his opinion and talks unity and building us for generational growth, they don't like it because it's not malice or "right now!" Some people aren't gonna let you win.
Resilient Introvert bro not even noname fans. It’s the black girls who support and Stan black females to the point where they think they are superior or sum shit. They keep tryna make the the argument, that black women shouldn’t have to help others understand. “they already do everything, and carry all the burdens.” And that’s just the most sexist shit they can be saying. All cole was saying, was that he doesn’t think noname or anyone else for that matter, should be looking down on other because of their knowledge, but instead should be pushing to shove that knowledge out to others, and yes noname has been spreading awareness and knowledge with her little book club, but at what point does that make it okay to bash j cole, or anyone else? They literally just acting as if it’s okay, because she’s a “black queen” like nigga no... that’s not equality, that’s not an excuse to bash and look down on others. Twitter is just a completely toxic environment.
@AlarmClocksTheWorld I don't understand what she was saying though. These dudes rap it all the time but just because they ain't make it "social media official" then she mad? Main fruit from this song for me: Beware of belittling those you need to persuade. They’ll shut down when they’re offended, and your chances at influencing them positively will be diminished.
Obviously, when you have lunatics at these marches screaming 'shoot the white folks' and tearing down statues that are part of our history and culture what kind of message do people think that sends? It's not one of unity that's for sure. Even if people hate the confederacy remembering the bad parts of history is just as important as the good, it keeps you grounded and helps you avoid making mistakes again. Plus plenty of people died on both sides, all of them were American lives lost regardless of their beliefs.
Awakened Persona Conflating protesters and people trying to incite violence is intellectually dishonest. Statues are made to honor people throughout history, and people are tired of being told that they should honor people who fought to preserve slavery. You can remember history without honoring someone who committed atrocities to humanity.
I agree Josh, a good compromise would be to stop honoring those people who fought to keep slavery, at the same time rioting in the streets, burning down auto zones, and calling for violence against all white people isn't okay either, and we are honoring some people who are doing that as well.
@@awakenedpersona6488 I hundred percent agree this is the sentiment Cole had when he made the song. I also 100% disagree with your opinion. This is why Cole was dumb for trying to make tone policing seem like a positive thing. George Floyd should have just tried to calmly explain his perspective to the offi......oh wait.

First off scru I love your take on the whole situation. I am happy there are people like you on the platform and I agree with what you said about black lives vs. All lives and I personally think that "black lives matter" = "minority lives matter" but that might just because I'm part of the minority. I'm a 19 almost 20 Year old Mexican who grew up in the Foster system and on the streets and I've seen and experienced firsthand how corrupt the government and its smaller systems are and how they mistreat individuals who are part of the minority. It ranged from small things like in group homes they would only give bathroom and messy chores like that like that to the Mexicans in the black kids to bigger things like dehumanizing and criminalizing us to the point we did lash out do something without thinking to make us look bad looking to the stereotypical hoodlum. Another personal experience I've had in a group home is they accused me of being threatening and aggressive when in reality I was sick in a bad mood but they didn't care they just wanted to get a crashing out and ended up breaking my arm in a restraint. I have even pulled over by a cop for walking in a predominantly white neighborhood because I looked quote on quote suspicious but I was walking home from a homies place. anyways enough of thatthe point is we got to work as a whole to change things or at the very least alert but ignorant people of the world. Anyways big fan of your work scru keep going at it.
I think we are starting to understand how important mental health is in all of this. If you're situation is rough, being stressed out is your natural mindset and that leads to bad/rushed decisions. People aren't naturally anything, but situations create cultures and cultures steer people towards how to respond. It's why I love K and Cole for changing the culture to what they want for it. Hope you find your way to an even better situation individually as we all do the same as a group!
