Can I just say I love watching your vids so much! You have such a positive gentle energy and watching one of your vlogs is like getting a warm hug in my inbox!
I love Little Red Tarot! That's amazing that you saved so much money ordering from them. I'm sort of in awe that this video comes from a time where you could easily buy the Mesquite Tarot from a shop! It's so hard to find now. I'm not a fan of the Sasuraibito Tarot being so often called the Sassy Burrito - it's cute, sure, but I think it's the result of people not wanting to learn to pronounce a foreign-to-them word. We shouldn't rename stuff instead of trying to say its actual name, IMO.
I’m loving both the Star Tarot and Sasuraibito ..... they are both in my favorites pile and will remain there. I agree with you that Sasuraibito just makes me smile and is so readable . The Star is deep and healing and the symbolism and the book are amazing . These are two decks I’m very very happy to have in my collection ! Great video !!!! Happy Birthday, Katey! Enjoy your new decks!!!! 💜
I'm reading through the Star Tarot guidebook atm... I don't normally read guidebooks in their entirety, but I felt like this one was definitely worth the time and effort! And thank you! :) xx
So happy birthday! What a lovely little bundle of gifts. :) I got the Nova tarot as well due to how inventive the little cards were but you are right! It is a punchy little deck but I love it more than I thought I would. And I have gone back and forth about the Star tarot but i think i need it. thank you so much for doing this share. Loved it.
Hi Katey and Happy Belated Birthday!! Thank you for sharing your lovely Tarot gifts hope your Birthday was a Blast of Fun. All the Best of the Best for your Birthday Year, Katey. xoxoxo
Thank you! Love these, haven't seen Mesquite or Pagan Otherworlds before but now on the wish list!! Tarot Nova is simple and fun!. Not sure the Sassy Burrito is for me. Have Star and it's lovely.
Happy birthday! LRT shipping is the best -- when I bought Nomad Tarot, it was cheaper for me to buy it on LRT and have it shipped from the UK than it was to order from the US-based online option... even though I'm in Canada. I'm definitely going to be ordering again to take advantage of that flat rate -- I'm thinking Our Tarot and the Urban Tarot when they come in stock. I am also indecisive on Pagan Otherworlds and feel exactly as you do about it -- those pips are perfect!
I would call the art style of the mesquite restrained. There’s almost a very old quality to it, in the pointillism in some of the cards. Makes me think of cave paintings.
Happy Birthday fellow Libran. Great choice of decks, I have all bar The Mesquite. I almost got it from Beth on a Thursday but another deck won out. Maybe next month now after watching this. Great video... thanks Katey! 🙏🏼📿
What a lovely birthday haul. I've seen the "Tarot Nova" for quite sometime. I never felt called to get it and thought it was a wee bit on the tiny side. Your trimming of the Star Tarot really makes it pop! LOL "Sassy burrito Tarot". I always chuckle when people call it that. Love the backing of the cards but not quite sure about that one. Thanks for sharing. -Søren
Nova is quite small... there is an even smaller version of it, though! I quite like the size of the edition I got - it's cute without being too tiny! Thanks, Søren :) xx
Fabulous birthday haul - hope you had a good one! Really enjoyed getting a closer look at the Mesquite - it is slowly growing on me. I have reservations about the Sassy B. Part of them you beautifully articulated regarding the modern styling - thank you, I just havent been able to put how I felt into words 😀 My main issue with the deck is the sexualisation of the very young looking girls.... hhmmm. However great vid as always, thanks Katey. ☺
Thanks, Melanie! I did have a great birthday! :) With the Sasuirito - I think that is more an artistic style, but I can totally appreciate what you're saying. x
I so would love to hang out with all of you too! Love when that happens- the virtual/ physical connections! Beautiful decks! The Star tarot looks lovely trimmed! but for some reason I'm not drawn to buying much right now. Birthday is coming soon though haha Hugs xx
I simply adore the Nova, it was gifted to me with the intention of being a bit of a novelty but it's actually become a bit of a work horse, it's so readable and portable. I just ordered Pagan Otherworlds so cant wait for it to arrive. I didnt know trypophobia was a thing LOL I just knew I cringed at that same card and one thats part of the Earthbound Oracle ...eeeergh! LOL
thanks for sharing that little one, I think it is by the counter of all the chain bookstores here. You've said in a couple videos you don't read reversals - do you get into that in a previous video or is that something you could expand upon?
Soooo, I've been planning an order from Little Red, but it is So difficult to choose!Out of those three (the Pagan Otherworlds, the Mesquite and the Sasuirabito - sp?), which would you say you have been using or enjoying the most?
Looks like you had a great b-day! I loved the Star Tarot and the simplicity of the Mesquite one. What's the name of the online store you mentioned by the way? Thanks for sharing and belated Happy Birthday!
Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one! Trypophobia is apparently pretty common, but I wasn't sure if I was alone in freaking out over a tarot card image!! :D
Yes, Sasuraibito all the way! I traded the Pagan Otherworlds already, and I love the Mesquite but so far I’m having a bit of trouble connecting with it. The Sasuraibito has been an effortless, joyous experience!
I like that little deck you showed first. It's been around for so long and I never paid it any attention. I decided against the Pagan Otherworlds when I saw all the Christian symbolism. It felt like they just threw the word "pagan" in there for marketing purposes. Also the blurb on their website makes it sound like they're taking credit for the current popularity of the Tarot? Maybe that wasn't their intent, but it annoyed me. I've been dying for The Star deck, but was put off by the reports of peeling laminate and other problems with the cards, but holy crow, they're beautiful. I think I will risk whatever defects it may have.
@@kali729 I'm not saying she does or doesn't... That's not clear from her statement. Although "primitive" is often used that way, but I don't want to assume she meant it that way.
Kayla Lyons I could see making some comparisons between the figures on these cards and cave paintings, but I’d say the Mesquite would be a totally modern take on those primitive/archetypal images. I personally really love it!
Haha I’m sorry! The internet has kind of made the whole trypophobic thing into something especially horrific! But apparently it is a pretty common phobia, just one people don’t often have a word for!

Hello! Oh thank you, that's a really lovely thing to say! :) xx
I like the mini deck too very cute and great for travel.
omg !! I adore the complete kit tarot, and been searching for the name for months.. thank you katey, your reviews are soooooo cool, blessings :)

What a brilliant birthday haul! There are so many amazing decks on LRT at the moment, I can't decide what to put on my Christmas/birthday wishlist.
LRT is the greatest tarot discovery I've made since Aeclectic Tarot!! :D
Well Happy Solar Return! Great way to spend the birthday cash....love your channel! You are a great window to the Tarot world💜
Thank you :) xx
Hi Katey and happy birthday! I'm going to invest in the mini Tarot kit very soon! I'm very happy to have found out about Little Red Tarot too. :)
Yolanda Welch thank you! LRT is so amazing, eh?! 😊

Happy Birthday! Nothing like a Tarot deck birthday haul to treat yourself 😍
Thank you, Nina! And I totally agree! ;) xx

Thank you so much! :) x
Wow, I think I need to get Pagan Otherworlds. As a Catholic, I love those Christian themes in the major arcana.
Sounds like it might be perfect for you! :)
For me it is one of the most beautiful tarot ever... especially the major arcanas. You won't regret it
Thank you! Love these, haven't seen Mesquite or Pagan Otherworlds before but now on the wish list!! Tarot Nova is simple and fun!. Not sure the Sassy Burrito is for me. Have Star and it's lovely.
Oh no! Now you've made me want another deck. I shall have to talk to my other decks about this. ;-) Wishing you many happy returns of the Day.
Haha I love it! Thank you :)
Happy Birthday, Love the star tarot , beautiful artwork, and I love the way you trimmed it. Happy for you😁
Thanks, Pamela! :)
I love 💕 The Complete kit. It is sassy, mine like to jump out. Loves to give messages. Favorite little deck! Ty 🙏🏻❤️

That's crazy! I was very surprised that shipping was cheaper to here in Australia, but that it's even cheaper to Canada! Wow!
The Nova & Sasura decks are so pretty!
Yeah the Star tarot is so energetic, its vibration is so amazing I love it too. Cheers from France ❤👍😊
Awesome birthday haul......Happy Birthday 🎊🎉💕🍾🎂👑
Thank you! :)
Happy belated!! I *really* like that mesquite deck. It reminds me a bit of cave paintings.
Yeah, I think the Mesquite is my favourite of the bunch! There's just something about it!
YAY - awesome birthday haul - thanks for sharing lovely. Hope you had a fab celebration also
Thank you! Haha I love that everyone's calling it the Sassy Burrito! Too funny!!
Awesome little haul Katey, really like that first deck
Happy birthday

You do indeed! ;)

Oh please do come down to Melbourne for a coffee! :D x I hope your birthday is wonderful!
happy belated birthday!!!!!(: i have the same phobiaa
It's a pretty common phobia, and apparently stems from a survival instinct! Thank you for the birthday wishes! :) x

Oh i didnt realize thaat, which card is it are we talking about?
Thank you for sharing this, Katey! ♥
Am I the only one who sees faces in minor arcana cards of Pagan Otherworlds?
I have the Nova deck but I lost my book 🙁
thanks for sharing that little one, I think it is by the counter of all the chain bookstores here. You've said in a couple videos you don't read reversals - do you get into that in a previous video or is that something you could expand upon?
Hello! Yes, I have spoken about it a couple of times, most explicitly here: ruclips.net/video/vFHZuSZ6da8/видео.html

*ahem* Wales is a Celtic country too. Always gets left out of the list: Ireland, Scotland, and stuff? Wales! Cymru am byth!
Katey did you end up edging the Mesquite? Just curious ☺️
Hi thx for the share can you tell me where I can purchase Star Tarot and sasuraibito tarot thx again
They’re both available from lots of places, and it’ll depend on where you live as to where you want to purchase from, so I’d suggest googling it.
Looks like you had a great b-day! I loved the Star Tarot and the simplicity of the Mesquite one. What's the name of the online store you mentioned by the way? Thanks for sharing and belated Happy Birthday!
Little Red Tarot! So glad I discovered they do international shipping!
Thanks Katey!
Ha! I felt the same way about the Seeker's card for the same trypophobic reasons. Gaaaaaaaaaaa!
Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one! Trypophobia is apparently pretty common, but I wasn't sure if I was alone in freaking out over a tarot card image!! :D
Ok, I *almost* got the Sasuraibito right.... think I'll stick to Sassy Burrito! ;)

I consider that style of artwork in the Mesquite to be primitive. Anyone else?
But do you attach something negative to the term "primative"?
@@ultravioletpisces3666 A very good point! Thanks for making it.
