Tony should embrace a youth movement and make ROH a full on feeder system to AEW while trying to give it a distinct identity like NXT currently has compared to main roster WWE.
Plus, they should have changed the Rampage show to ROH Rampage. At least it would get some exposure on television. Or better yet, change Collision to ROH Collision. Since it was made for Punk, who is no longer there, you might as well give that show to Ring Of Honor.

The idea of treating it as their NXT is a good one also but instead, they're getting the WWECW treatment.

ROH was already dead before that show, so to claim it selling less than their last show prior where the company was alive is a sign of something under Sinclair is bullshit, and you know it.
That's simply not true. NXT is a developmental brand with ratings often comparable to Dynamite, and its purpose is to create stars for tomorrow mostly from backgrounds not affiliated with wrestling like track and field, NFL, gymnastics etc. ROH is just where Khan signs indie wrestlers and puts them to rot with no upside. UNPOPULAR OPINION::
ROH would have been better had it become a hub on the Peacock App with WWE.
You're not the only one who feels that way. I think people saying that it's better off in Prince Tony's hands than Endeavor's are really kidding themselves.
Maybe he should not have sold it then😮
Don't you mean purchased it?
LMAO Well wouldn't you know who won the pony I'm not surprised by this tony khan shouldn't have bought ROH he's not a good booker just by what we're seeing in AEW just close ROH since nobody gives two flying fucks about it or better yet turn it into a developmental system for AEW could that work?
No, because he doesn't want to develop anyone. Instead he'll just show up to their town and have the local guy or gal job to a Dark regular.
@@steeltownbrown52yeah you're right lol that'll be a massive waste of time so why bother 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You're being disingenuous, Jason.
The Death Before Dishonor show you're claiming had only 800 buys was put on AFTER ROH announced they were shutting down. It was put on a month after TK officially announced he was buying them, and he even said he only allowed to happen to fulfill contracts and tickets.
ROH was already dead before that show, so to claim it selling less than their last show prior where the company was alive is a sign of something under Sinclair is bullshit, and you know it.
How does that change my point about it being in the doldrums even before TK bought it? You just admitted it was basically dead already.
I said it before and I'll say it again ROH is AEW NXT
That's simply not true. NXT is a developmental brand with ratings often comparable to Dynamite, and its purpose is to create stars for tomorrow mostly from backgrounds not affiliated with wrestling like track and field, NFL, gymnastics etc. ROH is just where Khan signs indie wrestlers and puts them to rot with no upside.
Not to mention NXT is actually on TV and has a deal to move to the CW network.
You don’t see Ethan Page or Roxanne Perez on Raw or Smackdown every other week being treated like midcarders that you shouldn’t really care about. So not really accurate.
It is sad when Tony Khan buys properties just so WWE can't have them At least if WWE did get ROH thair tape library would have been easier to access on Peacock or the WWE Network Making ROH the developmental for AEW would be thair best bet however it seems Tony Khan doesn't want to do anything with it. Which makes him seem like a petchulet child who only wants something because other enterties want it I'm sure most people won't buy something if they have no idea what to do with it but I'm rambling. @@Schmidt6429
@@Schmidt6429no, the talent featured in Ring Of Khanor are signed to AEW, but can't get the TV time on the Dynamite and Rampage shows. So they're relegated to Honor Club: AEW's answer to Heat and Main Event.
Unless Tony is trying to run his baby into the ground (AEW) he should either get rid of ROH all together or hire a seperate booker. I say the first ROH always had good wrestling but I checked out as soon as AEW started You can't book 2 promotions he should just get rid of it cause AEW is a step up ROH cya ! BTW if & when AEW get a streaming deal not only will you be able to watch AEW & ROH but to me the DDT content is MONEY. Omega King Of the Anywhere match, Omega vs blow up Doll, Omega vs 8 year old girl, Ibushi gives Nakazawa a pile driver into a toilet
Day late and a dollar short J
ROH 2002 - 2011 was awesome. Tony's ROH is AEW Dark.
ROH was getting awesome its final two years, but it was too late Thanks to COVID and Marty Scurll's skeletons. Yes, Ring Of Khanor has been Dark's successor.
The biggest "NO DUH" moment ever, the only reason Khan bought ROH is to get it away from Vince at the time and now it's a former shell of it's former glorious self.
I think we should wait to see what happens before jumping to roh is dead brand. Lets see what the new deal does and how it effects roh and dynamite.
Why did this guy sell ROH in the first place if he cared so much about it? If he would have done a better job, it would not have went under in the first place and came up for sale, and he wants to tell someone how to run it now? It couldn't be in better hands than with Tony Khan. He is a wrestling purist and historian. It could have been bought by some random person that didn't know much about wrestling. We just have to be patient with it. It will get where it needs to be. We should be grateful Tony has kept ROH alive. It sounds like sour grapes from this Silkin guy.
Wrestling isn't cheap. Even if you think you know what you're doing there's too many variables that affect a promotion's development.
@@naheemquattlebaum2267 TNT or TBS needs to give ROH an hour or 2 time slot to expose it more. It is lacking exposure, but is a good product, just not enough eyes on it. ROH has a rich history of a lot of stars you see today were at ROH at some point.
@therev_sungyungmoon24 Why the F should I be grateful to a spoiled brat who treats ROH one if my favourite wrestling promotions like an afterthought?! Kindly pull your head out of your ass!
😄, Silkin saved it by selling it because he sold it to a billion dollar media company that got ROH in more markets. Your beloved Prince Tony has had this promotion for two years and it's nothing more than an average wrestling show (that you have to pay to watch). We've waited long enough, nothing will happen. The only person I will thank is Mr. Silkin for giving his opinion on the matter (which many people seem to agree with).
@@steeltownbrown52 If Sillkin was such a good business man, he would still own ROH, and it would not have folded like a tent, bottom line. He needs to keep his negative comments to himself. I don't know how you can defend someone like that. Pure BS. He is jealous of Tony, that is all there is too it.
I know you're not gonna like this but let's be honest here a majority of long-term die-hard wrestling fans are done with the ROH style of wrestling and we're starting to move back to the sports entertainment way of wrestling
Well, Silkin kinda looks silly complaining. Remember, he HAD to sell ROH to Sinclair around 2011, or else it would literally die. I dunno man, I'd be happy my baby is still alive, if I was Silkin.
He should be happy someone is bloody insulting the history of his baby? That is like saying you should be fuckimg happy someone is insulting your fuckimg vhild@
It's not ROH though. It's Dark masked with the ROH name.
I gurantee if people go back in not everything in roh was always great. Ill admit that rn ROH has lost an identity. But if WWE bought it, It would just be on peacock. And its given people jobs. And Athena legit has made a career renaissance. So people cherry picking is ridiculous honestly. Can things be better? Yes and i want them to be, but saying killl it, Very unsanctiamonius. I understood Solo point and i agree to an extent. But one thing i dont get is the constant hate by people who just wanna hate for hate sakes. And solo doesnt do that. He just says what he feels. I only hope from what is bein said it gets its own identity like it did when it started.
Agreed. While I didn't watch the original ROH and I don't watch the current TV show often, most of the ppvs after the TK purchase that I've seen have been awesome imho. I just hope Tony can get a TV deal for ROH, even if it's not with Warner Discovery.
