    Very cool to see this come together. Not as exciting as some of your other videos, but more valuable for those of us trying to learn the basics.

      Definitely like eating vegetables for your riding - not flashy, but valuable. Thanks again for the assist on this one!

    These videos are the reason i'm about to get into trials.
    This stuff is difficult to learn, more so if you start later in life.
    Thanks again!

    Good advice. Feels easy = right, feels hard = wrong. I’m using your technique to go over logs on trails. After watching this video, I have a little more work to do and practice because sometimes I feel I have to push harder to get my bike over. The pedal kick is what I think I needed to master.

      You’ll be unstoppable once you get pedal kicks locked in!

    Excellent set of drills! Most of these I can do in my basement practice area I use in the winter. Thanks!

      Thanks! I did the exact same thing in my basement - got me through a ton of Midwest winters!

    Great video as always! Love your explanations and the visuals you provide to showcase them. As a beginner, do you happen to have a video touching upon the mental obstacles in learning new trials/mtb skills? (How to get over the fear of looping out during a manual, how to not worry about faceplanting in an endo, etc...) - if not, any chance you could make a video about this mental struggle? Appreciate your videos!

      This is a great suggestion - I’m definitely going to add it to my list! Thanks for this!

    I'm a bit slow, the channel changed its name and I couldn't find it :) You should have kept your actual name in it, it's unique, Super Rider could be anyone, But you've done the merch, (Im a Graphic designer by trade) I like the logo, but not the name, anyway glad to find your channel again and I will turn on notifications.
    You really have this tutorial thing down. your a natural communicator.

    Thanks for another great video. My mother would have liked you. You got her son to enjoy his vegetables every day. Well, I have to go. It is time to go out into my garage to eat my trials vegetables. Have a good day. See you on Tuesday on Twitch tv.

    Pedal Kick: thanks for the drill, it’s the big gap in my skill development.

      That’ll be a huge unlock once you’ve got it dialed. Thinking about doing a more detailed video about pedal kicks soon..

      @@SuperRiderTV thanks. I got max of 4 front wheel hops last night. 😀 I gotta get after this pedal kick business 1st. You've for some Great drills for this. Timing of releasing brakes just before kick is tricky. 👌

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  2 года назад

      Awesome! The timing is like 90% of the technique - once you’ve got that sorted, the rest is easy!

    For the most of the drills, I've been there and done that. Still remember the days I was struggling with the first one "Seesaw standing", how I call it over here. BTW, do you still practice any of them as an experience rider ? Is it worth practicing for non-beginners ?

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  2 года назад +1

      I still practice them a fair bit - usually as a way to get comfortable on a new bike or as a warm up before I start doing bigger moves. I can definitely say that teaching some of these beginner drills and skills has improved my overall riding. It’s good to go back to basics and strengthen the foundation of your riding. Or at least run through them and make sure it’s all still there. :)

    Im trying to figure out why when I lock my back brake and try to lift the front wheel and rotate, the bike seems heavy and hard to move around and pivot but when I try the move with no rear brake I can more easily rotate and pivot...any ideas??? All the best and thanks for doing what you do

    • @SuperRiderTV
      @SuperRiderTV  2 года назад +1

      I wonder if it’s easier for you to move your balance point behind the bottom bracket when the brakes are off. When you lock the brakes, look down and see where you are over the bike. If you’re not looking down directly at your seat, you might be too far forward, which would make that front wheel a lot harder to move.

    The pedal kick just isn’t working for me. I think my hub engagement isn’t good enough or my bike is too big for me
