You can also fly direct from Dublin to Bergen and VV. Dublin is one of the main access airports to the USA from Europe, and you preclear customs there so arrive in the USA as a domestic traveller. We have booked one way tickets Bergen to Oslo for Easter 2025, including seat reservations (the right side!!, as cheaper tickets auto allocate you the wrong side) and flexible booking for NOK1,100 each. For a peak time departure mid morning. It was about 1/2 the price to book the 6am departure, but it was a small train with no on board catering. It was also much much cheaper the week before outside peak holiday season. Also the flights with Wideroe for a Saturday departure Dublin to Bergen including checked in bags and carry on were EUR115 each way.
