Wow! A Ghanaian singing BLUES CLASSIC like a brother from the United States of America, this is PURE brilliance. I used to see him at Dichemso, Kumasi in my teens in the late 80s
Ghana never gave the credit to this LEGENDARY CHARLES AMOAH 👑 It's so sad we love death songs, ekutia songs, more than the love songs this man released. This man is huge abroad than in Ghana and that's sad.
Chale this man is very intuitive in the production field o , fellow musicians. Check 42:56 the chord changes even made him change his facial expressions., Solid truncation of Kwaw and soul vibes(only pro musicians will understand this ). a producer and a good musician no wonder he produced all these
Does Charles Amoah have his albums on the digital platforms? I grew up on his songs and listening to them bring a lot of memories. Uncle Charles need to give lectures and presentations at Dept of music in Universities. His knowledge, experience and innovation in the trajectory of HIGHLIFE music is amazing and need to be studied.
These guys infused western beat into our traditional highlife music. We loved it. But it almost killed our local highlife. Thank God the C K Manns, A B Crentsils, Papa Yanksons, K Gyasis, K Frimpongs, Opambours, Paa Bob's, Nana Ampadus, etc. helped to sustain the Ghanaian highlife.
