Workers around the world rallied Wednesday to mark May Day, with many calling on the labor movement to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. In New York, Democracy Now! spoke to demonstrators who demanded that U.S. unions apply political pressure for a ceasefire in Gaza and to stop their government's arms trade with Israel. "Workers do have the power to shape the world," said Palestinian researcher Riya Al'sanah, who was among thousands gathered at a May Day rally in Manhattan.

Reminds me of the anti-Viet Nam war protests when I was their age. We had an uphill climb initially. We protested from high school to college or work, wherever we were in life. I love these young people, their courage, compassion, and tenacity makes me proud. I am a Jewish elder who supports the rights of Palestinians to life and for the total divestment of money from colleges, businesses and our government. Although I can't march any more, I stand with you, my young brothers and sisters. Much love!!

"Any body else on board!?" and getting shouted down. 200 of the demonstraters were rounded up and arrested though with these two walking.
Israel isn't giving peace a chance, that's for damn sure. And the conflict didn't begin on 7Oct2024 . . .
