Louise te amo 😍
Love this!
Solid Gold .
Louise Brooks wrecked me. I'll never find my true love. Maybe in heaven we'll meet.
SUPER MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!
The Show-Off is an example of Brooks doing her best Colleen Moore impression, before she developed here own screen persona.
This movie is hard to find on DVD and is very expensive ($50 - $100 range).
Media tie-ins go back a long way. I once read the novel version of "The Show Off" that must have been written after the play was produced and maybe at the time of the movie version? I don't know if it's done nowadays but I remember seeing novel versions of other movies, one of them being "The Rose" that starred Bette Midler. My recollection is that that practice used to be fairly common: have a successful movie then release a fiction version of the story in paperback.
Boy was she beautiful.
“Apple-sauce”
Gregory Kelly was just 36 when he died. He was married to Ruth Gordon.
Is there ANY possible way of watching watching this movie?? I have no means
It does exist on VHS tape and possibly DVD. I viewed it on VHS tape by checking it out from my local library (do those even exist anymore?) several years ago. It was a very good and enjoyable film. Though Louise is cast in a supporting role, she makes the most of it with her strong screen presence. Ford Sterling was the star of this picture and was terrific as was the rest of the cast- Louise, Gregory Kelly, and Lois Wilson. Try finding it on Amazon.
@@steve2474 yes I got it from the Library too. I got the DVD. The movie was actually good and as previously stated, Louise is in more of a supporting role.
