Welcome to one of the many reasons invisibility without the ability to turn it off and on is not such a great power.
@@ShiningDarknes Yeah, there's also the fact that you would be blind when invisible. Light just passes through you, and it won't hit your eyes meaning you'll be in darkness for the entirety of having it as well lol.
@@Marblesoda821 in fairness her invisibility is better than normal invisibility since while her body is permanently invisible it comes with the ability to refract light so she can actually manipulate the light to reach her eyes without them being visible to others.

@@natsuki4642 no it is because it does not work on the parts of quirks that permanently alter physical appearance.
@@ShiningDarknes technically though Hagakure isnt a mutant. She has the power to refract light, which means her invisibility is caused by light refractions covering her body. It's like her body is covering in trillions and trillions of tiny mirrors that create the illusion that she's invisible. Aizawa could totally erase her quirk, the story writing just doesnt require it so that's why it hasnt happened (yet ;)
@@NinjaKittkatt I would classify it as mutant since almost all of the "always on" quirks are mutant even if they don't alter physical appearance much. In her case her body is invisible AND she can refract light. So the refraction portion could be canceled but not the invisible part as that is a permanent physical change to her body.
If yall didnt know, Horikoshi-sensei actually revealed what Hagakure looks like in an extra. You can see it if you google hagakure face reveal

Stupid question: What if Toru puts on eye contacts and lets aizawa erase her quirk?
I think Aizawa's quirk cannot erase mutations, like constant ones (he can erase Euro's horn and Kirishima's solid skin, but cannot erase ojiro's tail or crow guy (sorry, can't remember his name atm)
He can’t erase mutation quirks and just seeing their clothes probably isn’t enough as shown by Momo and todoroki covering themselves in cloaks to stop him from erasing their quirks in the final exam arc
