Hi, glad your trackpad is working now, as for no sound, maybe you have damaged the load speaker, all you can do is change one speaker at a time till you fix the problem, I hope this helps, Kind regards, Neill.
Hey Thanks for commenting, it is a common problem and I do try to explain about the two layers, but it is so easy to separate them, anyway thanks again Kind regards Neill
Hi Nicole, sorry for the late reply, if you have not fixed it already the best thing you can do is take it apart again and check all the connection plugs are connected correctly to the motherboard, and also make sure all the screws are done up tight as if there loose you may not actually have a battery connection, I hope this helps, Kind regards, Neill.
Glad to hear that your BB works again. And sorry that we don't sell the part you referred. You can try to find it somewhere else like amazon. Hope it helps. Regards, Sunny
Hi, when you reinstall your front housing make sure you start at the top, push it on then pull it down, then it should be in position for the sides and bottom to click back in, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
@axavisoccer Hi, your welcome and thanks for your comment, now i would say no to glue as it never does good things to mother boards, i would say take it to a repair center because im not sure without the trackpad cable being clipped down it may not work, i hope this helps because i may have miss understood you, kind regards, Neill.
It was actually a dodgy trackball, I bought it on ebay and thought I could trust it as the seller had sold over 1000. I bought a replacement trackball from another seller and it works great, thanks again
Hi, the first thing to check is the top screw and middle screw on the right as you look down on the phone are done up tight, if they are not tight then you will have no battery connection, try pressing down on both areas and see if you get a red light, try that first, i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, the first time is really hard, it took me a while to get it off the first time, just keep trying and it will come off, good luck, kind regards, Neill.
@mrshakiller Hi, the blue dot is your warranty sticker, it allows BB to know someone other than them have opened your phone, just push your torx screw driver though it, i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, there are places in England that will do it for you, try your local phone shops or go on line to find a repair centre nearest to you, but I will say it is easier than you think, you are more likely to crack your housing than to damage the internals of your phone, the other option you have is to find a friend that is quite good at this sort of thing and ask them to help you, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, basically all you need is a T6 torx screw driver and a pair of tweezers, and use a hair dryer to heat up the front screen, you will find it comes off much easier if you heat the screens glue up first, and be careful when removing the screen as there is two layers, if you separate them the screen will become useless, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Thanks it helped lots, only thing i messed up on was removing the screen, its in 2 layers and i removed the screen film, just thought id add it so no one else makes the same mistake, (y)
Hi, hehehe, yes sorry I didn't think about that when I made the video, really sorry about that, but thanks for leaving your comment, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, No it should be fine, I have taken lots of different blackberries apart and i have never wiped any of them, i hope this helps, and good luck!!! kind regards Neill.
Hi, yes the screen glue should be reusable, if you take your time to remove the screen carefully, and try to replace the trackball within 30 mins so the glue does not dry up, good luck, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, First check that the connections to the motherboard are all connected properly, also try charging the phone, sometimes they need some power to reboot them, if this does not fix your prblem then it sounds like you have damaged the LCD cable, and will need to replace the LCD, lets hope it's just the motherboard connections, anyway i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill
Hi, There is a few things you can do, first try the next screw driver up, so if your using a T5 then use a T6, and make sure you really push hard into the screw, they need a lot of downward pressure otherwise the screw driver just spins in the head, you can also try to tighten the screw up, sometimes by doing that, it loosens the screw, sounds wired but true, another option would be to use a flat head screw driver and jam it into the head of the torx screw, (1st part)
Hi sorry for the late reply, the trackpads look compatible as they have the same connection to the motherboard, at a guess i would say yes as the 9300 trackpad and the 9800 track pad are the same, and Blackberry would probably try to save money by using the same trackpad on the 9320 as well, so i'm 99% sure you can use the 9300 trackpad on your 9320, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Thanks for reminding us. I want to fix it but it has so many views and I'm worrying whether youtube will change its listing position when people search for it. Regards, Sunny
@efrrren Hi, when ever you fit new housing you must start up at the top first, clip it over the top then pull it down, that should then be in the right place to clip the rest of the housing into place, i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, then in that case it sounds like your motherboard is damaged, check to see if you can find a replacement on ebay, otherwise see if there is a repair centre close to your house that may fix it for you, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
(2nd part) let me know if none of these ideas work, I have others but they are much harder to do, but don't worry we will get it sorted, I hope this helps and good luck, Neill.
@DiamondJoe25 Hi, sorry, no you can not, the connection plugs for the mother board are completely different, i hope this helps, thanks for your comments, kind regards Neill.
@chanie4svs Hi, I hope you found the link on my video for a new trackball, also thanks so much for your kind comments, and if you need anything else just ask, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, wow you are lucky, and a little unlucky, maybe in the future you can check our website, we test each batch of spare part we buy before we put them on our website, also if you do actually get a faulty part we will send you a replacement straight away, anyway I'm really glad your phone is back to it's best, and thanks for commenting, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, it sounds like your motherboard is the issue, and I doubt you can do anything to fix it, since you have already changed both then I guess you have two options, first you can try to find a repair centre that will fix it, or second look on ebay for a replacement motherboard, i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, unfortunately we don't have that phone, but it is very similar to the 9300, I think the housing and construction is the same, and the only difference is soft wear mods, try following this video and if you get stuck with anything then just send me a message and i will do my best to help you, kind regards, Neill.
thanks hardly seems good enough your step by step instructions were excellant even i could follow them cost me a fiver to fix it many many thanks ;-) xx
Just successfully changed my trackball following step-by-step your video, and now it works great again! Many thanks!! The only problem is that I've broken the little piece of black plastic that you remove at 2:38, so the piece that you put back at 8:06 is not perfectly in its position :( Do you sell this specific piece of plastic?
Hi, It sounds like you have a damaged motherboard, there is an off chance you purchased a faulty trackpad but it is more likely to be the motherboard, If you have a friend with a 9300 ask them if you can test your motherboard in there phone or test there trackpad in your phone, then you can find out what is the problem, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
It sounds like your keyboard membrane is damaged, the best thing you can do is take it to a repair centre and get a quote, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hi, sounds like your motherboard has got some problems as it is strange that both the trackpad and the top row of buttons have stopped working, I have checked on ebay and you can get a new motherboard but it is expensive, if I was you I would try to find a local repair centre and ask for a quote, the only other thing you can try is to replace the trackpad, if that works then maybe try changing the keyboard membrane sticker, I hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Sorry, another question, where you could get a blue palette as you use to remove the plastic screen protector? or could do with another tool? Thank you ...
Hello Sunny, many thank for your answer. Unfortunately I'm unable to find this piece in any place... even looking at a "full housing replacement" seems that this little piece of plastic is missing! Can anyone address me to this item, or even to understand how to identify it...
Hi I can see one screw but the other one seems to have a blue sticker or something on it, should I just screw it still or is there something I need to do?
hey so i changed both like you said now all the buttons work but the trackable only clicks but does not move what you think i should do next? thank you
Hi, sorry for the late reply but the 8520 and 9300 trackpads are not compatible, they have completely different connections to the motherboard, i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
Hello mate wondering if you can help, the clip that holds the scroller in the place has snapped off on my phone, I was wondering if it will still work if I just make sure its still got connection then just put the sticky bit, back over?
hi, i oderd a new trackpad for my bb curve 9300 and when i pulled the old trackpad out it has a black film on the back. my new one dosnt have the black film on the back and also dosnt work! just wondering if i need a trackpad that has black film or if it dosnt matter? thanks.
@efrrren Hi i have two suggestions, first you could try to find a good double sided tape, that should seal it, other wise maybe just buy a new screen there not expensive and will make your phone look like new, but as for a good glue I really don't know the name of the adhesive they use and i would strongly advise you not to use supper glue, anyway i hope this helps, kind regards, Neill.
@santana77780 Hi, unfortunately yes they will see the spillage, but i strongly advise you to follow my video and try to fix it yourself, if you can't then send it to them, at least you have tried first, if you just send it to them they will charge you, if you try your self and fail, then you have lost nothing, and it is quite easy really, just take your time, no need to rush, i hope this helps, and if you need anything else just ask, kind regards, Neill.
