Shame that we let the Tories set the conversation of the last election. Had the election been about the NHS and education we'd've won easily.
It's such a shame Corbyn won't be the man to vote for at the next election, when brexit is done and politics has gone back to... Normal? I'll be voting for the greens, unless Starmer's kicked out for someone else like Long-Bailey or another socialist like McDonald to take over.
@@engleberteverything421 Corbyn was the reason why Labour had its worst election since 1935. What good would voting the greens do? Unless you want the Tories to be in power for 19 years. Starmer isn't perfect by any means but neither was Corbyn. Starmer's the best chance we've got in defeating the Tories

What's the significance of the date?
The experience of seeing the British Labour Party in government, or acting as Her Majesty's loyal opposition, has generated lots of parodies of the Red Flag. Mostly under the title The Peoples Flag is Palest Pink. One line reflecting Labour politicians' propensity to accept positions of privilege is "The working class can kiss my arse, I've joined the House of Lords at last."
Leon Russelson's parody is called The Battle Hymn of the New Socialist Party. It ends with:
We will not cease from mental fight till every wrong is righted
And all men are equal quite and all our leaders knighted
For we are sure if we persist to make the New Year’s Honours list.
Then every loyal Labour peer will sing The Red Flag once a year.
So vote for us and not for them, we’re just as true to NATO,

Yeah, once on May Day I went to a funfair - after the demonstration, which is always the priority :) - and I wondered why they played a Christmas melody - it must actually have been "The Red Flag" in honour of May Day!!!
Actually both O Tannenbaum and the Red Flag take the melody from the Scottish Jacobite song "The White Cockade"
