I wonder how many of the crowd realised how special this man and moment was.

If you didn’t cry to this, you are already completely dead inside.

As if time stood still, I first heard Arthur Lee & Love in 1967, Forever Changes, arguably top 5 album ever. He returns, immortal, RIP you talented man. You never knew how great you were, maybe a blessing.

The violins on this are just superb. And the vocals. Shows how Lee could sing as well as compose.

It's a fantastic performance although Lee didn't write it.

Arthur Lee & Love is so much more than "7 & 7 Is" and "My Little Red Book". This song and so many more showcase your amazing talent. Thank you Arthur Lee, you are an artist I will replay over and over again.....Thank you so much Betheyn for posting.

A remember hearing this as a young man of 19. I became the Old Man roaming through the earth. This song is as fresh today as it was 50 years ago when I first heard it. A masterpiece.

A great performance of a great song and Bryan would be so proud. Arthur sure loved music, that's for sure, imagine getting out of jail and thinking only of his music. A true musical genius. See how quiet and respectful the crowd is for their hero? Similar to Jimi, England loved Arthur, and although older himself, he nails it bang&on. What a performance, perhaps the greatest ever.

Sounds like the long play album. He's voice hasn't changed in over 50 years when I bought the album. In 69 what a shame he's passed away. So many greats are gone

I was at a benefit concert for Arthur when he was sick at the Beacon in NYC. The great Robert Plant said that he wanted to perform this song since he was a teenager. He was 19, I was 15 when “FC” was released.

For me, Old man is just as beautiful as any song on FC.

It's too bad Arthur Lee passed away. His band Love rocks. I've really been enjoying the Forever Changes lately. I wished I had known Arthur.

This was written by Guitarist Bryan Maclean and also sung by Bryan on Forever Changes. Arthur played no Guitar on the first three Love albums. This is a great song and tribute to Bryan

It's a great song & it's sad I've discovered his music way too late. I bought a CD last month. I'm impressed with Arthur Lee's & Love's music. This is why I'm greatful to Y-Tube cause this is where I've discovered their music. I wished I'd discovered their music sooner. But in life you make the best of it.

This was Bryan's song and he sang it on the original release. A fantastic song to which Arthur pays tribute not just in his incredible singing (that note he holds is amazing) but in dedicating it to Bryan and his mother at the end. What genius from the both of them.
