I downloaded some of the recipes with good intentions to veganify them myself, but I'm probably too lazy to do it. I'd love to see you test the Gochujang caramel cookies to see if they work with a flax egg, or if another egg substitute would work better, they look really cool. I did make the Red Lentil Soup from that list and frankly wasn't all that impressed by it, given how they hyped it up. But maybe that was just me.
I bought some gochujang because I was curious. Never had it before. I made your gochujang tofu with frozen tofu in the air fryer and I swear to God it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I am for sure making this pasta recipe when my sister comes to visit me. ❤❤❤thank you Rose!
I made this dish today and it was so delicious. Thankyou. That's the second of your meals that I have cooked with Gochujang and I am now addicted to the flavour.
I don't usually leave comments on videos, but this was just absolutely too good not to. My first time trying gochujang and this is such a simple recipe but one of the most amazing things I've ever tasted. Definitely adding this to my weeknight lazy dinners! Thank you so much
One of the things I LOVE about your videos is that you're not pedantic about ingredients. Like you subbed in white wine vinegar because you happened to be out of rice wine vinegar. And used cheap maple syrup. It's so refreshing, and means I can go to my pantry and see what I might have on hand that's "close enough" as well, at least to try it for the first time, and then perhaps get the "correct" ingredients later in my next shop
Despite having worked right near Manhattan Koreatown for many years, and eating my lunch at the restaurants there a few times a week, I hadn't heard of "Gochujang" till I watched this great video last night. Now Gochujang is on my shopping list! Coincidentally, when I sat in my living room chair this morning, and picked up the December issue of Cook's Illustrated magazine which was sittnig with a pile of papers right at my feet, I found it contained a very nice 2-page article all about Gochujang! THANK YOU, ROSE!
Yes please to veganizing those recipes. Thanks. Tasty and cant wait to make it myself. LMAO "Enough garlic to kill a family of vampires" The best amount of garlic TBH.
Veganizing more recipes would be great! When I was younger I could get away with hydrogenated or emulsified vegan butters. Unfortunately, even this stuff catches up to you and I had to stop packaged vegan butters and oils. Now I sauté with water. Got used to it. Not as decadent without the butter but surprisingly still quite good. Enjoy your videos and humor.
I would love to go on the Korea trip, but we are already going in April. That looks fantastic. Just a note that the second camera angle has better color than the main one.
Hi and Thank-Uuuu just made this and like you said There's never too Much Garlic LOL. Love the dish. Mmmmm. I found the Gouchujan in Target made by bibigo and I used Two packets of RAMEN Noodles. DELICIOUS TFS
3 48.... I always use the small holes on the box grater for garlic and ginger. It's not as fast as just using garlic cubes, but my freezer builds up ice crystals weirdly fast.
i lovvvve your videos. i've been watching you for years&years. i'm not vegan, never been or anything but hopefully one day i will be. all your recipes look sooo good! ❤😊
Looks delish. Thanks Rose. I do wonder, though, why you try to cook for pasta in a frying pan which has so much surface area its hard to keep it boiling. Deep saucepan, lid half off works best imo.
I can no longer eat off a plate. Gotta eat everything out of a bowl with chopsticks, especially noodles😋and the food stays hotter in a bowl than a plate💥😎😷🙋♀️
Seconded. I gave up on plates decades ago because I'm ludicrously clumsy and kept breaking them. Bowls are easier for me to hold and carry, so everything gets thrown into a bowl now!
Actually I'd like to go with you on that but I've already bought tickets for the mango festival in the Philippines in April, I'll be there for a month😊
I would really love to explore Korean cuisine. I understand a lot of Korean cuisine has elements of spice. What is your advice on where to start with Korean cuisine if you have a very low spice tolerance? Also do you have general advice on how to increase spice tolerance?
It might be formulated differently which would be important if you're substituting it for butter. For this it shouldn't be an issue but in baking it is.
That Becel soft tub margarine is the BEST vegan margarine of all time (Crystal margarine was always good, but I haven't seen it in stores in Toronto for years; even Costco doesn't carry it anymore). Every other vegan margarine or "plant-based butter" tastes terrible to me. I think palm oil always tastes vaguely rancid to me if it's not covered up by other flavours.
3 01..... Is that a Canadian brand or would I be able to find it at CostCo? I currently just use olive or coconut oil for everything, but the available vegan butter around here is Earth Balance.
She’s using the vegan version of the brand Becel which is margarine. Becel also makes vegan butter bricks too. I haven’t found them personally but I have friends that buy them for baking. I don’t know if the states or other countries carry it but it’s a very popular brand in Canada!
Damn, I have to use every ounce of discipline in me when RUclips feeds me your videos. I've been vegan since forever, but now I'm raw fruitarian. My big addiction is pasta. Your videos are tempting me so intensely. I can practically taste them. As they say, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Pure torture for me OMG. But I must stay strong. I'm committed to the road least traveled. But damn, it ain't easy. 😢😢😢😢😢
I drive for grubhub and other food deviled places and sneakily open the bag just a tiny but and sniff as hard as possible and then breathe in and out through the tiny hole as fast as possible causing me to become dizzy. It’s a great high feeling right before I drop the food off at the customers door.
I just had my first veggie cheesesteak, from Nicky's Phillys, a box lunch catered at a work event. It was SO good, with grilled mushrooms, spinach, white American cheese, tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, hot & sweet peppers, and garlic on a soft Italian roll.

"Enough garlic to kill an entire family of vampires" ROFLMAO 😅😅❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
just the right amount of garlic hahaha
@@CheapLazyVeganthere is no "too much garlic" 😁👍🥰
I'll definitely use a high protein pasta (my go to is Barilla plant based) and add some smoked tofu, sounds like a hit.
Thanks Rose!
that's a great idea!

Oh yum. So simple and delicious. I do something similar but I also add some bean paste. So sort of a ssamjang noodle! Cheers!

Omg I made it ! Sooooo good, I added coconut milk to mine and it was delish !!! But I also tried it without and it was delish too

@@CheapLazyVegan also I used coconut oil instead of butter and still bomb 🤤 so good and so easy to make ! Thank you rose ❤️
I would love to go on the Korea trip, but we are already going in April. That looks fantastic. Just a note that the second camera angle has better color than the main one.
Looks delicious! I will definitely try it. Also, it looks like I'm gonna be studying abroad in Seoul at the same time as your food tour!
Hi and Thank-Uuuu just made this and like you said There's never too Much Garlic LOL. Love the dish. Mmmmm. I found the Gouchujan in Target made by bibigo and I used Two packets of RAMEN Noodles. DELICIOUS TFS

Thank you thank you thank you so much for this recipe I really appreciate it !!! 😊
3 48.... I always use the small holes on the box grater for garlic and ginger. It's not as fast as just using garlic cubes, but my freezer builds up ice crystals weirdly fast.
Making this tonight. Thank you!
omg how was it
@ loved it! Adding it to my easy dinners rotation. The spring onions and sesame seeds add great texture to the noodles. Thank you for this
It looks delicious and I would love to try it, thanks for sharing it. Could do vegan meatballs with it too?
oh i think that would be AWESOME
Je suis du Québec et j’adore tes recettes ❤
Yes please do a series on the NYT 50 best recipes but better because they are vegan
These really are good. I was trying to find Jjajangmen from scratch so I came back trying to find the most recent version.

You look so cuuuuute!
The food looks delicious! And you look so cute!😊💚
Thank you 😋
Omg my mouth is watering ❤
As I understand it is slightly sweet in taste. Can it be made completely savoury?
Live a little. Enjoy the wonderful taste of pure maple syrup. What’re you saving it for? Rhetorical question
Veganize all the recipes!!! ❤
I would really love to explore Korean cuisine. I understand a lot of Korean cuisine has elements of spice. What is your advice on where to start with Korean cuisine if you have a very low spice tolerance? Also do you have general advice on how to increase spice tolerance?
Yum!
Adding chopped green onions is more favorite end topping
Yum yum yum
This looks really good. Is there a difference between vegan butter and margarine? Or is that 2 names for the same kind of food?
It might be formulated differently which would be important if you're substituting it for butter. For this it shouldn't be an issue but in baking it is.
Veganized versions? Yes please.........but can we also get a slow mo clip of you TWIRLING PASTA AROUND METAL CHOPSTICKS?!!!

Vegan Philly cheese steak
I just had my first veggie cheesesteak, from Nicky's Phillys, a box lunch catered at a work event. It was SO good, with grilled mushrooms, spinach, white American cheese, tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, hot & sweet peppers, and garlic on a soft Italian roll.
there is no such thing as too much garlic, indeed! :)
4 26..... No. There's no such thing as going overboard with garlic...... Well, maybe raw garlic, but never cooked.
Dracula hates this
Sounds like a great series! Please stop saying viral🤦♀️
You look like a kid today, you're aging backwards
I don't understand the words in Japanese that you added to the recipe, can it be in English or spelled please? 😅
you mean Gochujang? haha its not japanese, it's korean!
@CheapLazyVegan
Vegan Bugotá. After you have finished the spaghetti with the sauce. It's white. can you spell What is fat no 🤔
It's butter 😂. She just said it in her British accent.
@blub5926 😄🤭😜
Just a point of information, Gochujang has gluten.
Thanks though, Too high glycemic and GMO
Why veganize? 😮💨We have to eat more meat for the sake of our brains. 🥰
disgusting fake butter is unhealthy af
Is it just me, but does anyone else feel repulsed watching people shovel food into their mouths?
Just you.
Vegan butter = artery clogging margarine 😅
