Otherwise I think it feels weird because you're technically making edits to the original lyrics. For instance I love singing Sweet Child O' Mine by G N' R for karaoke. The original version. When I hear people do the Cheryl Crow version it drives me insane. First of all, it's not a great cover at all lol and secondly she changed the lyrics to match HER. It's weird.
