- Come to Biennale des Antiquaires and gaze at amazing diamonds and simply fabulous jewellery. Everything we hoped to see and more was brought to life at the 2014 Biennale de Paris. Watch Maria Doulton’s latest video as she ventures through the Paris Grand Palais, capturing on video some of the most rare and beautiful works of high jewellery found in the world, with jewellery from brands such as Piaget, Wallace Chan, Chaumet, Boucheron, Graff, Siegelson, Giampiero Bodino, David Morris, Dior, Alexandre Reza and Bulgari.
In this video you will be dazzled by Van Cleef & Arpels' Rose Marine necklace, which is already sold and never to be filmed again, Graff's Royal Star of Paris brooch with over 200ct of diamonds, Siegelson's Boucheron Art Deco brooch, Piaget's 1970's inspired watches and jewellery, Giampiero Bodino's richly coloured jewels and much more.

Isn't it peculiar: I will never earn enough by far to buy even a small piece of those classy designs. Yet, looking at them in this video lifts my spirit, because I know, that humanity is able to create such beautiful things celebrating the elements.

I may never have enough to have a big piece like that, but over the years I’ve been able to get diamond earrings worth 4,000 and my ring for my wedding was with 4000 I don’t like big and bulky jewelry but I do love any kind of them.

Wallace Chan, the BEST of the best which you saved for last..
For many the Art's consists of old master paintings, sculptures to figurines and pottery but to myself it's the beauty of jewellery that's been crafted to show each stunning stone to perfection, now thats art. I could never afford one of these classic pieces but being able to view them gives my soul food fit for the gods. My own humble collection I've got diamond studs set in platinum, each diamond has the best signature cut for any diamond and are 38 points each. Each of the diamonds comes with t's own GIA certificate and have the best cut any diamond can have and are colour D the only downside to them is they are SI1 in clarity, still for me 3 out of 4 of the famous "C" is fantastic. My other pieces are bespoke, a 4ct ceylon blue sapphire with 2 diamonds on either side that are each a half carat and set in over 5 grams of platinum. An eternity ring with 5 diamonds thats total 1 and a half carats that are bar set in platinum band that weighs 7 grams and finally my wedding band that's 7 grams of platinum in a court band. I have one other piece thats a swiss set in 18ct yellow gold with a matt/satin finish and has 1 carat of diamonds set into the gold. I think I'm very luck as I never thought I'd ever own anything so beautiful. With the weight of my wedding rings I only wear all of them on special occasions because not only are they incredibly heavy but the patina makes wearing them dull very quickly. The jeweller who made all my rings used to clean and polish them for nothing, now it costs a fortune to have them done.
ETERNITY RINGS are "mass people's rings"; a wealthy woman would never display her jewellerys like this!
Enjoy our collection Lin. Apart from smaller pieces I have four rings which I call my "fab four". Each of them are very special because of the beauty, outstanding quality and beautiful gem stones. Mostly I prefer diamonds in all sort of cuts. I feel the taste in real fine jewelry has left many women (regular women, not especially rich) as they prefer to amass tons of fashion jewelry instead of saving up for a few pieces of fine jewelry. Anyway, I would like to see more fine jewerly collection videos on here from women like you.

So many exceptional colored stones, and they only use boring diamonds and 2-3 others.

@Andreana Calhoun An estimated 3.7 million people have died in Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Liberia, and Sierra Leone in conflicts fueled by diamonds. Not say these are all blood diamonds, but it would be hard to believe none of them are.

Chaumet had some seriously beautiful items. I am rather cold towards expensive and excessive jewellery, but this collection was so close to real and not overdone. It actually felt the cold icy touch when i looked at them. maybe it's the love of water in me but if I had to choose one fancy item I would choose from there.
