Sounds like someone who bought their first BMW after 2003. I've driven nothing else for over 20 yrs. Do the new ones suck? Yup -- just like EVERY late-model European car that has more lines of computer code running it than good old -fashioned mechanical engineering. I've spent much more $$$ on my wife's new MBZ in the last 4 yrs than on my 17 yr old BMW in the last 8 yrs.

Despite the unreliable stigma that BMWs have, so far I have never experienced any significant issues with the two I’ve had
my brother has an e46 with 228,000 miles on it.
I had a 335i with 355k miles, no problems whatso ever...
Slatka Mala I had a 2006 335i. Love/hate relationship. I couldn’t wait to get rid of it at about 135k miles. Loved the handling, especially after the Dinan suspension package but it scared me away from German cars. At 100k miles I had to replace both turbos and the clakety waste gates, plus a bunch of other stuff. It was in the shop for 3 weeks. Did a track day with it, then had to go back to the shop to clear the Vanos. I ran only Chevron gas and LiquiMoly oil. Finally sold it for $6500

I'd take the Merc As long as all the maintenance is up date and the 40,000 mile Maintenance which cost a gazillion dollars Just a good aftermarket warranty and you should be good,as long as it doesn't have a crazy amount of miles then it's just a money pit. But the hummer will never die out still bad ass👍🇺🇸🇺🇸 love the channel bro!!!!

I live in Ireland and I watched CSI Miami and some of the characters in that drove Hummer H2s.
I own the escalade esv ,which is the longer model. When we went shopping for a SUV it was between this and the h2 Hummer. But that single digit mpg made me choose the Escalade. And at a steady 13.4 miles per gallon I definitely look rich Everytime I fill it up.lol.

You better not fall for it. These used vehicles may be cheap but expensive to maintenances. Range Rover? I have friend telling me that her car died during outbreak( Corona virus) and need 5k to repair for battery/electrical and brake pads or else. BMW is the most expensive to maintenance than the rest of cars. Plus, I was thinking to get Cadillac ATS 2013(93k miles) but I checked it out on RUclips to see if Cadillac is reliable,hell no - Money pits( cost 3 to 5k to fix it even fix your navigation system cost 3k) . None of Cadillac have reached to 200k. My brother have BMW,yeah after reached 90k miles,many problems (coolant leaking,replace tire that always get flat,thing fell off under his car and turbo stop working) So yeah, RUclips about those cars before you buy it. I heard Porsche is reliable. Or buy a brand new cars or if you have money to afford it. For me,those car will stress me out.
Technology is the cause behind these problems, if they were built like they used to be, we wont have to visit the shops every month

10 cars that will make your wallet empty
You should have put a warning label under most of those vehicles. The repairs and maintenance are astronomical on the Range Rover, Maserati and BMW. The Cadillac is not so bad. I am on my second Escalade and it is so comfortable and luxurious. And a 6qt full synthetic oil change service with tire rotation is only $49 at my local Cadillac dealership.

the mercedes s 550 is actually a really reliable car when taken car of well... it's a 50/50 chance you'll get one that's senior driven and that's well taken care of
the Maserati is a really good car but people don't realize it's a race car and should be treated like one yet many people unfortunately don't take care of it that well
and unpopular opinion: the 996 911 is actually a really good looking car and decently reliable for a "supercar" of it's era that is if they weren't abused and they were baby'd
the Hummer is not that reliable and is a complete gas hog however parts and repairs aren't as expensive as the rest of the cars on this list
as far as the Range Rover goes all I have to say is it's a rich white mom's vehicle of choice and it breaks down every 5000 miles
The BMW 750 Li is basically a much sportier version of the s 550 and it's much better for the younger audience but beware of breakdowns therefore you need to do a lot of preventative maintenance
and the Cadie Escalade is trump's car of choice... "nuff said

You need to take in account for reliability and more on the maintenance costs. Especially for the Range Rover; that thing will break down A LOT
