- So good to be back between the tape again this weekend in the infamous Alpe D'huez!
Just like the road climb up here, there's a lot of long, physical climbs on track and not a lot of tech, so it's going to be an interesting race!

Yolanda you are the best!!!! You are one of my greatest inspirations for pushing myself in XC racing. I see your grit and determination. I watch your old races and it pushes me in my training. You will be the next Gunn-Rita and then some.

I broke my clavicle/collarbone on my road bike 🚴, running into people hanging out on the trail.

Thanks for posting! It’s a cool video for many different reasons. I was impressed by how much interaction there is. You talk to people passing, other athletes and whoever you feel like. I always had the idea that when you are on the track it would be very serious, maybe you are serious and still have time to chat.
Even if you say that it’s not technical, I still get amazed by how simple it looks when you are riding. You simply have to pick a path because the track is busily or it’s really narrow and you still accelerate. I ride MTB too and I would be really happy if I had 0,5% of your skills.
Congrats on the result and keep it up the year is just starting, I’ll cheers for you!
Happy to see some more youtube content and your return to racing! Was starting to wonder until that descent started if the course would have better suited a gravel bike Lol, so smooth and wide on the climb.

Is it a gripshift to control the lockout? That's pretty cool - a neat solution to that issue

Your hub sounds like a swarm of angry hornets when you freewheel. How is the new Super Caliber working out?
That was absolutely incredible! Question: Have you ever thought of wearing knee and elbow pads for all of your pre-laps, just to prevent injury for race day? You are so fast!!
Not answering for her, but have never seen xc racers where pads ever ever, except when nursing an injury. I see a few where super lite elbow pad sun protection sleeves in hot weather. Troy Lee has some great ones I recommend.
You have a lot of patience for the slow peeps, like me.

Hopefully the chest cam is flattening/smoothing things out, because otherwise haven't seen anything that boring in along time. Hope you can stay awake on that course, HR will definitely be pegged.
Idk how the heck you just jumped off that mini cliff at 9:25 seconds like I would have had a heart attack and then would have freaked out and fell, because actually I am a beginner mountain biker and I get nervous pretty easily especially doing a trick down hill but just free riding downhill is easy for me I’m like a pro at that you could say😂
