My incredibly much loved dad died almost exactly one Month ago at the tender age of 71 in a motorcycle accident. He was among the first of his peers to take up an academic informatics career in his days, and ended up in industrial automation, which is notoriously behind tech seen from today's perspective. I've long wanted to show him this particular demo, to let him see what he initially learned as punch cards and vacuum tube powered "walkable CPUs" has become: Beautiful, cunning and moving. I have missed that day, and miss this most honest and lovable person I ever knew. I'll never watch this demo as I did all these years in the past. It went from "proudly to present eventually" to "a beautiful memory that could have been" in an instant. If your dads are any good at all, PLEASE make sure all is said and done, and they know you love them as much as they most probably love you. I miss you, Papsch.
I'm moved and a bit teary-eyed. This is like an echo of a signal sent a long time ago, amplified, reflected and enriched, cleared and distilled. I can not adequately express how happy this demo makes me.
This one still gives me goose bumps big time. It is so playful with anything geometric and gfx related, beautifully combined and with not one transition that isn't thrilling. And then, when turning up that soudtrack... oh man! This is so refined in all aspects, a true artistical masterpiece that at no second also fails to entertain. Just massive.
One of my faviourite demos / invitros of all time. This is so slick, artistic, and sophisticated! The little relatable "Z" glitch at the start makes it even more impressive, like "wait, this was made by... HUMANS?"
So happy I could elicit a heart from one of my youth idols. (Well, we're probably not that far apart in age. Demosceners just are so damn much ahead.) It is people like you that ultimately convinced me that IT really is my way, where my heart is. The bits in this that "do it" for me: 00:00 (to 01:07) The sheer density of insanely well done transitions. Getting that pixel-perfect must have taken some time. 01:08 That guitar / sitar entering is tone-setting for the whole thing somehow. It was awe until here, beauty and awe from there. 02:15 Delayed drop made drop hit thrice as deep. And hello! Colours! 02:59 That final reverse clap is such a wonderfully understated finish. Love it. It is such a shame in a sense that tech has accelerated beyond the wonders the demoscene brought forth. I feel privileged to have lived through its height during my formative years. You guys probably don't even know how much impact you had/have on this world. (Yeah, I'm slightly drunk during lockdown here, making my words sound big. But as they say: There are two kinds of people you can trust to speak the truth: Toddlers and drunks =) ) All my best and a great winter time despite all this particular year's woes! (Nöööö! Grad gesehen, dass du ja quasi sogar aus der Region bist! Grüße ausm Ruhrgebiet! :D )
amazing.. i have to say everything by still i find incredibly evocative and expressive.. definitely next level .. while still maintaining a connection to the demoscene .. your prods are much more .. respect
Still kicking hard here! This is how The Maktoum clan should start a demo group (or clan?), too, and beat this suckerpuncher Pixtur in his(?) own GAME! Ps. I'm truly sorry Geona. Sometimes life simply suxx. Sorry....
Step 1: Deliver it straight to his(?) face - hours after the compo submit time passed. Step 2: Within the first 30sex crash the demo AND hack the compomachine restart the demo pt. 2 MAGIC!!! Step 3: GTFO ruclips.net/video/-NaSty0vgFk/видео.html
Hey! I see that this tool.io software is extendible with c#. Let's say I wanted to idk create an audiovisual game akin to 140 by jeppe Carlsen except not minimalist, where can I start to understand how to integrate it with unity c# to intuitively cue animations with sound cues in game? Anyone have any experience with this or pointers
trust me this starts sounding cooler with more wattage. some bluetooth tiny speaker simply wont do. when you feel it in your belly thats about enough. how you get there not that inportand. i like the vintage stuf. the only thing wrong with the song that its so short.
I wonder how hard is to create this in tooll.io...i'm trying to make some dots animation in after effects but didnt know this plataform, seems impressive!

Thank you for these kind words.
This is genius. Mesmerising, beatufiul.

Very profound.
Still the best.

The demo scene just knows how to effin do it!
Demos > any_big_budget_production = true
Those transitions were INSANE! The alternating circles into the sliced torus... INSANE!
Wow, what a piece of art!
Seriously, this is one of the cleanest and cool-looking demos I've ever seen in my life. And I've been following the demoscene since the late 80s.
Really awesome work, loved it. Congratulations! :)
Two Minute Papers wow..! You are here
Oooh you like demoscene as well?! Nice! Guess we have similar interests. What a time to be alive ;)
I can't believe @TwoMinutePapers is a demoscene fan. That's so cool!
What i love about Still, the sharpness, lets the beauty of geometry and colour itself do the heavy lifting. Stunning music, shape, and art direction.
What a beautiful piece of mathematic perfection. Some impressive craftmanship went into this demo.
Saw this for the first time today. Awesome!!
best video in the history of animation: ok i'm exagerating but great anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
every time i watch this. wow. masterclass.
Came here from the Mind is Born 256 byte demo. The artistry hiding in the demoscene is intense.
Hoffman is slowly becoming one of my favorite artists.
This looks great, completely mesmerizing.
Here from RMC The Cave with the Hoffman talk! Top tune!!
I love this one
I like this one. Rather simple but very nice to watch. Esp. the cinematography is well done.
One of my faviourite demos / invitros of all time. This is so slick, artistic, and sophisticated!
The little relatable "Z" glitch at the start makes it even more impressive, like "wait, this was made by... HUMANS?"
Many Great Effects!
This is gorgeous! I absolutely love seeing such minimalistic, polished look. Beautiful.
Beautiful!!!!
I just blew a kiss at my screen (genuinely) after watching this for the gazillionth time. Sooooo gooooood!

Very, very, very good, indeed! Wow!
Now this is an absolute work of art, very surreal in all the rights ways, I love it so much!

Super clean, love it.
Beautiful.
Stunning one of my all time favourites.
Im hypnotized! Design. Design. Design.
Still is the best! "The Seeker" is a few years old, but I love running the demo every once in a while. Music is fantastic on this and the Seeker!
What has been seen cannot be unseen. Whoa!
IMHO this is one of the best demos ever made, you implemented some awesome ideas!
First 20 seconds: "wonder how they did that?". Rest of video: "don't care how they did that. Ooooh"
Just a lot of math.
@@hermitgreennmy kind of guy saying ❤ is just a *convolute* 😄
Eye candy. Music's good too.
That's what I call a Demo! Simple yet great! Love your work!
Fantastic demo ! I love the simplicity and style
Absolutely awesome.

Beautiful work. I love these kinds of minimalistic demos. The music and the visuals are perfect for each other. Incredible work.

Thank you for your nice comments. I really appreciate it.
I spent a few weeks working on the best realtime GPU anti-aliasing I could come up with, inspired by this demo, and I still don't know they did it.
Mesmerizing. Love it.
Sweet shaders!

This is so beautiful experience...

Good stuff. Very much like the Amiga AGA demo; Serenity by Elude.
Nice

+jmm1233 Then download the video and watch it in VLC
imagine watching this while on LSD

The source-files for the demo are an example project. It needs surprising few operators and little code, but a lot of tweaking.
Who made the song for the video and can I please have a link to his album/discography? Absolutely awesome video in any case, though!!!
+Joe Meade Hoffmann. As stated in the description.
Great Motion Graphics. Who did the soundtrack?
+Saidmore1 Hoffmann. As stated in the description.
Aż mi kurwa mowę odebrało z wrażenia....
