    it has a few nice extra features like the felt pads at the base of the handle joint to keep out dust & debris for smooth operation. Also love how the zuiki logo lights up, the only extra thing i'd have loved would be for them to put a ready light on the controller for when the doors close & you are ready to depart like the shinkansen controller had on the wii.
    A nice overview vid, will be handy for english speakers to decide if it's for them as it's a pricy controller but personally i totally think it's worth the cost really enjoy playing using it. Nice that a titan converter works with it, tempted to pick one up at some point as in vr on ps4 this would be a lot of fun with the controller in your hands.

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  3 года назад

      Thanks for your comment! Yes, having a "doors closed" light would have been the icing on the cake, but that probably required a game update.
      And yeah, the VR experience is dramatically improved with this controller so a Titan converter is a wise purchase, specially if you also have one of the older PS1 controllers around! 😉

    I've actually wished for a DDG train controller comparison video like this, but never imagined someone would make it! Really enjoyable to watch & excellent production quality, as always, Alex 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
    Good catch on the packaging keeping the door open on more Densha games in the future... I'm with you in wishing we see Osaka again very soon! Only true rail fans understand the pain of no stopwatch slot, but it still looks like a remarkable controller with such satisfying clickiness.

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  3 года назад +1

      Hahaha the moment I had the controller in my hand I knew that I had to do a comparison with the older controllers! 😝 Specially given how good this one feels, before trying it I had my doubts about the possible quality of the experience. But ZUIKI surely delivered the goods with this one. And yes, next one with a pocket watch slot, please!!
      Regarding new games... well, the current game was presented during last year's Tokyo Game Show and the next one is in just a couple of weeks, so keep your eyes open for any announcements! 👀

    Una duda, por curiosidad no habras probado si funciona el mando + titan con el Railfan de la PS3?

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  2 года назад +1

      Pues no lo he probado, no tengo la PS3. Pero creo que el único controlador que admite el Railfan es el Type 2 de la PS2 y, que yo sepa, ese mando no puede conectarse a través del Titan Two. Por lo que la única solución que se me ocurre sería usar un script para que este mando fuera reconocido como un DualShock 3. No es lo mismo, pero sería lo más cercano. Y muchas gracias por tu comentario!! 😄 😄

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment! I haven't tried it but you'll need a controller adapter to use it with the JRS series, as those games don't natively recognize this controller.

    Buenas, sabes si el mando es compatible o si se podría hacer compatible con japanase rail sim de switch? En breves me llegara el mío y me gustaría jugarlo con japanase rail sim.

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  3 года назад +1

      Buenas! Por lo que he leído el mando no es compatible con el Japanese Rail Sim; el mando salió mucho después del juego y el JRS tiene un esquema de control diferente. Para poder usarlo sería necesario un adaptador tipo Titan One/Titan Two. De todas formas a finales de diciembre sale juego nuevo de Japanese Rail Sim para la Switch, con un poco de suerte lo incorporan como opción!

    Heh... while we're pestering Taito for an English version of Densha de Go, (heard a test arcade cabinet with an English version rom is at a Dave and Busters in TX), can it be mapped to Trainz or similar PC games?

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  2 года назад

      Yeah, please Taito give the game a wide release!! I'm not sure about Trainz , but there are plug-ins for BVE and OpenBVE. Also, Train Crew recognizes it natively. Basically the controller is like a Switch Pro controller, so if a game recognizes the Switch Pro then it will probably recognize this controller too. Thanks for your comment!! 😊

    I have a question: how do you make the controller work with the game? I purchased the Zuiki controller but couldn't figure out how to use it with the game. I've changed the setting and turned on the "external controller" option, but I still couldn't use the buttons and level in the game. I tried to google the solutions but no luck.
    Thanks very much indeed for your kind help!

      @The_Yamanote  2 года назад

      Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the review! 😄 Regarding the controller, have you tried changing Operation Type and Input Type settings before selecting the external controller option? Are you using a Switch Lite? And, just in case, the manufacturer said that the Switch must be updated to version 12.1.0 at least for the controller to work. Tell me if that works! 😉

    Hey thank you very much for this video - it's fantastic! I'm new to the Densha de Go franchise but instantly in love with it and have ordered the controller after watching this video. I'm sure you get asked this a lot, but I'm just wondering if there is a good place to order some white gloves for full immersion? I really like the idea of getting ones that are as 'authentic' as possible. Thank you!

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  2 года назад +2

      Glad it was helpful! Sometimes I use regular cotton gloves but I also use a pair of white dress gloves. Normally the drivers use white cotton dress gloves with good breathability but it's also pretty common to see regular white cotton gloves or even light white wool gloves during the winter. For authenticity you can probably get driving gloves from Amazon Japan, but I suggest searching first something closer to your location 😉 Thanks for the comment! 😊

    • @The_Yamanote

      Yes, although there are some connectivity issues (the controller disconnects and reconnects every 10 minutes or something like that). I use myself the Titan Two, but I think there are also scripts for the Titan One.

      Yes! I use the controller for the PS4 game using a Titan Two adapter. I'm not familiar with the Cronus, but I think there's a way to convert Titan Two scripts to the Cronus format, so that might help you adapting the existing scripts for your Cronus.

    I just got the controller, unfortunately it seems the first brake click does not register. I cannot go from neutral to brake level 1, only two clicks from neutral to brake level 2. Going from level 2 to 1 works OK... is this normal? Since it is a new device, I am considering asking for a replacement...

    • @The_Yamanote
      @The_Yamanote  Год назад +1

      Zuiki (makers of the controller) recently said that there's a problem with the latest Switch update (version 16.0.0), making the controller not recognize going from Neutral to B1. They are working on solving it, but for the moment we will have to wait. I've tested the controller with the other Switch games that support this controller and it works fine, so it appears to be just affecting DenGO! Hashirō Yamanote-sen.
