  • I was quoted to get an entire brand new furnace for $4500+ since the labor and parts to replace the blower motor, blower fan, and capacitor was over $1400.
In this video I show you how to replace the parts yourself for under $200.
Blower motor part number GE 5KCP39LGR668AS Furnace Blower Motor 1/2HP 115V 1075RPM 4SPD HC43AE116A #MB153 purchased on Ebay for $124.49 shipping included
Blower Wheel (Squirrel Cage) Carrier LA22LA019 OEM blower wheel 11-8 DD .50 CLW CV Squirrel cage purchased on Ebay for $54.13
Capacitor GE 97F9002 was replaced with a Dayton Motor Run Capacitor: Oval, 370V AC, 10 mfd, 3 5/8 in Overall Hit Item 2MDV7 for $4.65 from my local Grainger store

Great Video…although I have done this job in the past on other models, it was great to be able to see what I was up against before starting it on a Carrier furnace THANKS

Excellent presentation, thank you for sharing. I'm hoping replacing my starting capacitor will fix my problem but your video shows me what I'll be getting into if I need to replace the blower motor. Keep up the good work and thanks again!

Thank you so much for the detailed video. I just replaced the blower fan motor tonight (I have same furnace model so it was a bonus) and your tutorial video was so helpful. The parts cost just over $200 CAD vs calling in HVAC tech to do the work and I am sure it's much more. 👍🙏
