Bhaiya i am getting really confused whether should i join iiser, niser ,etc. for bsms course and become a scientist or do engineering and go to job . I like physics very much , like solving advanced problems in physics and reading new new theories and texts on physics and do new new experiments but i fear that due to much pressure of studies and financial problem later in masters or phd if my interest in physics end up then what I'll do then i think that instead of this i should do mechanical or electrical engineering and go to a well enough paying job and enjoy physics at lower level .

There is nothing as a astrophysicist degree atleast at bsc and msc(bs-ms) level you will have courses on space science and astrophysics specialise in it(take the most of them) and do a phd in Astrophysics

@@Honeysajwani No way mate, as of now isro only works in development, they are not in research much, and they don't hire astrophysicists. mostly isro is filled with engineers. So in India, there is very little scope for astrophysics, even in the US, and there has been a lack of funding, especially after COVID. You have to be one of the best in your field. NASA is more into research they have astrophysics graduates. So if you want to stay in India or go to isro , you will have no opportunities
Conclusion:- Nah, you can't into isro , do engineering for it( maybe is 4-5 years they will start research but it will not be at good extent , so for astrophysics aim for a foreign country

Sir I am your regular follower...one thing that disappoints me that you only encourage the iiser niser....but also iit is much more good in research you can check the qs world ranking where the iisers are far away...I know iisers are also very good....but iit is also best in research...the student who wants to research can crack jee advanced and get engineering physics or bs in chemistry or mathematics in iit....almost every iits are providing these courses....and if you say love for science then jee advanced is best to check how your concept is !!!!!! 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

Advanced tests how well a person knows the entire college course after studying in a cram school for two years under intense pressure. Besides, IITs aren't known for their research but only for their undergrad engineering degrees, not for pure sciences. The actual research comes from the PHDs and post doctoral research where IISERs shine and IITs fail (That's why IITs are far behind US institutions).

It was to tell you that getting a degree does not qualify you as educated, it is a certificate of completion of a set of courses you've done.
Ofcourse you might work hard for it, but only then you've earned it.
And, he's pursuing physics from an IISER, so saying that usko aise hi degree mil rahi hai is not fair
