I know right? The only reason I'm not immediately seeking a candle *exactly like that* is that I could only bear to light it *maybe* once a year (Halloween, natch) and I know it'd be a nightmare to dust.

I can't think of anything more satisfying and relaxing than carving candles while listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overtune in its entirety. This made my day. :)

I was good friends with a candle maker before he passed away, he sometimes did carvings if a customer had a special request, but despite it not being his main thing, his carvings were always so beautiful. And he always told me that it is much harder then people may realize, because you’re working against the clock, and yourself, for you couldn’t go to fast or be sloppy or else you risk breaking the candle. Which would ruin the carving, and you have to start over, or it would do something you didn’t want and you’d have to adapt to the changes, which can be difficult.
The precision and symmetry of this makes the perfectionist in me very happy! I love the color scheme.
At first I though my phone froze up cause she wasn't doing nothing but holding it in the yellow looking down so I thought my phone was acting weird

Just in passing, the first dip is to add the color and to soften the core of the candle so it's more malleable, that's why it takes around 20 seconds.

Beautiful, used to go to a place in Michigan USA near my hometown they made these type of candles I would watch with my mum this is what started me making candle but nothing on this level but it was a passion I can no longer do because of physical limitations.

She makes it look so easy, if I was a fool I'd think there was nothing to it, I repeat if I was a fool. She has an enormous talent for sculping, and probably years of practice. So to the creator of these wax pieces of art, excellent work, I truly admire it.

I love watching ppl make candles and carve them into something Wonderful and amazing...The use to be a man and his wife would come to the Mercer Mall near where I live in Bluefield WV.. They would come every year around Christmas..My nephew and myself would set and watch him make candles for hours..I found it to be one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen...
