Nick a detention cable doesn't hook up anywhere under the dashboard. It hooks a cable from the transmission to the throttle of the carburetor.

Sweet little Nova. I wish they didn't stop making the wagon after 67. I had a 66 with a 283 and a 4-speed. Quick little grocery getter

That's a pretty nice Nova, it would make a great cruiser. The first thing I'd have to fix though is the kickdown not working---that would drive me bonkers lol

Nice ride, but the tail pipes should turn down behind the rear wheels

Does plenty of pep mean not very fast? It is hard to know. I really enjoy your videos, though I would appreciate a more descriptive performance assessment. Thanks

Never liked the looks of the Novas much. Exudes “economy car” to me.

@@k7093Yes Novas were economy cars but those of us that couldn't afford a Camaro, Vette or Hemi Cuda could throw a few bucks into a Nova or Vega and have some good fun, often even beating the "preppy" douches that couldn't handle their high priced rides... Taxi companies for sure used Novas, they also used Dodge Coronets and Ford Fairlanes all 4 doors including the Nova. 2 door coupe's can't be compared to 4 door sedans.
