I usually wipe down the tab and surface with alcohol and it will bond really good. Not sure if there is anything better than alcohol but incase yall have problems with bonding strength try that if you haven’t already
Yep, it's cold here in Minnesota and I use the red and green glue the same. I also use the tab weld and it works nice. I am usually always inside the shop and am not working outside, but the outside temp difference of the car can still make a difference.
Thanks big dog., I made a really friend who visited SF from up there, good peeps up that way I take it. Hey man, I’m a pro painter for many many years and I recently added PDR GPR to my game. My only nemesis is getting my tabs to hold on to the glue 😒... the clear glitson stick good and hold the guns heat well “one setting” an they stick well to panels but are a MESSSSS to clean up and they hold tabs pretty good. THEN i got the TAB WELD brand grey sticks.. their stronger and less flexible and they grab the panels better and clean off WAYYYY easier, it just falls off with one spray 👌 BUUUT the tabs, they Dont grab the grey tab weld sticks. The aluminum tabs hold the tab weld a little bit better but I never used the aluminum tabs on the clear glitson. I learned to swipe a torch over the plastic tabs real quick to resurface it but I JUST found that out soo I’ll test that out. I’m about to order the black ice tabs (expensive) geezzz.. that aught to do better than the cheap blue and red assorted bag of cheap tabs. Btw how useful are those after already having the black ice tabs? I’m in South Florida... yearly it’s an average of 94*F to 86*F and during winter (as if) it’s no colder than 50*F at night to 65*F-70*F during day. The non flexibility of the grey tab weld glue sticks seems to let go of the tabs earlier than the cheap clear glitson glue sticks. There must be a perfect window where it’s stickiest and not so stiff .,, oh I wander what’s that window lol.. 🤔.. Aight soooo green cactus is good from cool summer to early stages of winter huh?? Lastly.., how does that cold glue compare in all this? Exp too btw.. I did an aluminum hood today, I think it made the glue cool faster than steel.
I just searched glue sticks, and clicked on your video. I subscribes as soon as I saw it. You know what you ae talking about and I am looking forward to learning from your videos. Thank you for providing them.
Great video!!! I ordered a kit off Amazon it only came with some clear sticks of glue.. I have a very small dent im trying to pull out I've seen this done before. But should I use the clear tubes of glue? Been in the 70s around here latley , thx
Nice videos. I am in Kansas, I have good luck with tabweld but also use whatever works. Keep up with cool videos, I really want to start doing videos also.
yes, I'm a beginner and just starting. I've seen videos of people using normal basic hot glue gun. I'm sure experts like you won't recommend it, but is that possible to use just a normal hot glue gun from the stores for this? Are the colored glue sticks you are showing bigger in diamater than a normal store glue stick? Can these colored glue sticks fit a normal store bought glue gun? Thanks
Hi. I'm just starting in this as well. I'm using the glue sticks in my tec 305-12 hot melt gun that I already had. Works perfect. This gun does not drip by the way
yes you can use that glue but it wont pull as hard so you will have to do numerous pulls and let it dry a little longer but if you wait to long and use cheap tabs you will break them at the thinnest part
Nice content, btw, tried to email you, my experience was that your website isn't mobile phone friendly (couldn't use my mobile, to move around the web pages)... I built my site and had to make sure it accommodated mobile technology... ✌️. Use your phone to email yourself on your site, to verify.

Red is all I use in the Deep South. Just have to heat the panel a bit in middle of winter. Softer glues won’t even push through the gun down here.
Can you use any glue sticks for PDR ?...like will they still work

Is there a glue I can use on a chrome bumper to pull a dent?
Hi there wot the stuff you use to remove the glue from the paint work
Love the video thanks!
how about black and yellow?
Black doesn’t work good compared to green and yellow I haven’t tried In years
Green works better than yellow at 40 degrees?
I think so! But this video makes me want to do a test with all the glues out
What the best ones of these?
Green!! All the way
