Actually it's quite good in dragon hunter when you get it from that poisonous dragon, when vs a slow match you're going to run out of fuel. Emerys gives you the extra punch. It's just that it's very situational. Sometimes it'll be very slow and you're going to lose. That's why it's only good when you got it for free.
Some quick thoughts - at 11:22 opponent couldn't have polymorph. If opponent had it before playing Tortollan - then he was very likely to use earlier on big devastator. Tortollan, in the other hand, discovered two cards (not three), casting book of specters (first spell) and discarding ray of frost (second spell) in the process.
Another point, he could have risked playing the other dragon(brightwing) 8:57 before emeris and could have lethaled with grom 9:48, but who could have guessed
@@gabrielyamatoy.matodraw5570 I mean, that definitely would have been the correct play to play Brightwing before Emeriss-- doubling the stats of a random legendary is almost certainly going to be better than giving +3/+2 to Brightwing.
@@drunyon214 drunyon214 Kinda arguable, there's value in having stats on the board *right away*. Especially when your opponent has already used brawl and deathwing like Kibler had. Kibler had trouble dealing with that board
I mean, he emoted amazing repeatedly after his Reno's random spells drew him three cards while he was already in fatigue and he also emoted well played at the end. Didn't seem salty to me.
Dayum, oh i get it now the grom wud have had 4 more damage. Anyways maybe the opponent must have had tempo in his mind and thus wanted a bigger brightwing , little did ue know that he wud get grom xD
I think it was a pretty serious misplay. With Brightwing, you’re likely to get more stats by buffing the random legendary rather buffing Brightwing. You can’t really justify the “Brightwing first play” unless you really need that tempo.
When he played brightwing after emeriss I thought to myself "that seems like the wrong order". felt very vindicated when the subsequent grom was off lethal
Great game! Full of awesome! Really liking highlander decks right now personally.. and a new expansion gets announced on march 17th! Cant wait to see what it holds, as a year full of cards rotates... what are you all looking for in this next expansion?!
Napstablook I squelch as soon as I can, emote spammers are bad at HS anyway, they end up sucking around with emotes and not paying attention and lose, and I don’t even see the emotes, win-win situation
Consider the fact that Kibler has a RUclips channel. By letting the opponent BM like that, the video would be all the more entertaining once he loses. (And if the opponent doesn't lose, no big deal, Kibler just goes onto the next game.)
So when I was watching this I kept thinking "Would it be correct to play Brightwing before playing Emeriss?" Brightwing isn't much of a threat, not even as a 6/4 in a match-up like this and... Yep. If they had played Brightwing before Emeriss, they would've won because Grom would have been just that slightly bigger of a threat. Still though, entertaining game nevertheless.
Is it just me or all evil classes highlander decks are boring and pointless? Basically you just play waiting for Zephrys and Dragonqueen and if you miss those pwerplays, the deck doesn't really have a direction
I mean, that's sort of the reason to play a highlander deck. Both Zephrys and Alex are powerful and are the only cards in the deck that work under the singleton condition. I think what you don't like is that they're all control decks instead of being aggro/tempo decks. If you notice, control decks almost always go to fatigue if they don't die to an aggro deck turn 4/5 which is a result of constantly playing value cards and *controlling* the board state. Now if you like control and don't like highlander... I don't know what to tell ya, bud.
@@TheCrazyArrows I stopped playing many years ago. Only watch kibler to put myself to sleep. And I'm kinda upset he removed the background classical music
I disagree. I have been playing a lot of highlander, Galakrond Rogue lately. It has a lot of powerful tempo plays with lackeys and has late game power in Alexstrasa (and Shadowstep.) I like Highlander Rogue because it has Togwaggle, whose power level is close to that of the hero classes "highlander" legend. It is pretty good at switching from a tempo deck to a control deck, depending on matchup and draws.
Opponent: has Amazing Reno in deck
...
Better spam the wow emote every 15 seconds to warn Kibler.
*"AMaZInG"*
I’m pretty sure I’ve not seen emeriss played in an actual hunter deck in years, it’s always from Alex lmao
Or dragon roar or some kind of rogue steal
Yeah, Emeriss is so bad in Hunter, but basically OP in all other classes

Notice the guy emoting every play didn´t emote when Kibler gained 21 health. The salt was real.
ElSpewtardo
I think he was salty from the beginning when he played Doomsayer into an opponent who took Wild Growth off Zephyrus.
With the amount of toxic (I felt like) he did, I thought he would have quit right when Kibler gained back that sweet 21 health

KenJDub123 I’ve gotten emiress a few times myself but that’s only from dozens of games

That final taunt at the end from kibler was so satisfying
they don't call him bm kibler for no reason.

It was equally likely that he would have buffed a Thalnos by playing Brightwing first.
When you're already fully tilted by turn 3, it might be time to take a break from ladder.
UHMAYZING
It ain't a warrior video if one of the players doesn't get to fatigue.
