Here's the brief explanation for it. The ultimate skill won't directly put u into an immortal state but instead send out a wave similar to concussive blast, damaging enemies and will then grant u movement speed boost that decays over 2 secs and enhancing his passive and skill 2 which allows him to gain more energy when doing basic attacks. Any damage that he deals while in this state will be converted into hp once the duration ends. If the his hp reaches zero while in this state, he will enter his immortal form in 3 seconds, reseting the duration of the movement speed buff from the first 2 seconds. And I'm pretty sure that they're giving him this buff so that the trinity build will be more usable to him. Yes, I stated trinity build since the rage that u gain when using this build is significantly lower compared to using the crit build. With this adjustment, he will be able to spam his passive more frequently compared to the original server version. As some people said, the immortal state DOES NOT LAST 8 SECS. It lasts 3 seconds, 8 seconds is the total duration of his ultimate but only if his hp reaches zero during the 5 fallen angel state. So in other words, if u ult late, then u only get 3 seconds fallen form but if u ult early then you might last 5-8 seconds but that's only if u don't die in the first 5 seconds because if u do, u enter the immortal state which is only 3 seconds Another thing, the passive and skill 2 enhancement on his ultimate will only activate if he hits enemy heroes with the circular attack of his ult. I noticed this as well, the passive in his ultimate skill where it increases your rage/energy regeneration rate have been removed.. So yeah, this argus is now ult reliant. I'm also arguing with an individual in the comments below whether trinity or crit is better. I do agree with him that crit is the superior option but don't let your choices be limited. You get 5 rage per second, 10 with a basic attack and 20 if it crits and with his skill 2, you'll get 40 if it crits and 20 if it doesn't. His enhanced passive will grant u 50 rage per hit and if it crits then 60, if paired with his skill 2 then it's a certified 100 rage per hit and 120 rage per hit if it crits. I'm not really sure if the 100/120 rage per hit works if u hit a marked target.

As I know that, Argus will be in fallen state for 5s, all his damage and attack he deal, will be convert to his hp. (same effects like original server) and gaining 80% mov speed decay over 2s. If he received fatal/massive dmg (ex: turret damage) until his hp no longer left, the mov speed boost will be cut off and he will gain immune to death for 3s. This is BUFF if you plan to dive in the turret/ to attack the enemies and use ultimate with full/half hp bar. He'll became immune to death for 8s (5s + 3s) This is slightly NERF for those who are waiting for 1 hp bar before using the ultimate because you only have 3s ulti duration. (orig was 4s).

Skypiercer is useless on heroes like Argus because his stacks will not be good considering he is esy to counter and kite. The stacks are gonna be wasted quite easily
If you actually watched the vid. His immortality is shortened to 3s but it the 3s timer only starts when you hit 0hp while ult is active. 8s is just the total duration of the ult
I had a chance to test this on advance server. From what I can tell, it's actually not that broken, in fact it can be seen as a nerf. If you actually save the ult for the very last minute, his immortality state will only last for 3 seconds (which is a nerf from 5 seconds). If you plan to actually turret dive by activating his ULT early, you can get to 8 seconds. Overall this actually changed Argus' playstyle more. I do wish his first skill got CD Reduction so it can be easier for escaping or initiating, also he does need more base damage because he is basically a melee marksman, heavily relied on late game.
I think that's what moonton want, they want to make his ult 1hp play, but now player can use it early to gain movement speed, not to mention his passive will greatly enhanced, you spam your passive more than usual
I have played against some argus players in exp lane he hurts, I don't he needs base damage buff. They just gotta play around with his skills if they wanna make him meta or smth

I think he deserves it, he rely too much on his ultimate he's a glass cannon, one wrong move or timing on his ult and you're dead. He's also easily countered with just walking away, this movement buff will make him pretty strong!

I like how the DEVS made it so similar to how Freya used to activate her ultimate skill back then, also I feel like instead of immortality, a commentor in this section said that basically you get super enhanced when you use your ult, but not immortal, however once you lose all of your health, then you gain the immortality which lasts only 3 seconds, if you know how to manage, basically argus can be enhanced for 8 whole seconds, if you use it too late, he is only enhanced by 3 senconds, but to be honest, even if you are too late, the other effects this new ult compensartes for a 3 seconds duration ult
@@BaddMaw Well to be fair if the enemy has cc stun skills (depends if high damage) argus will need to use ult to counter it but if the enemy saved it stun cc knockback skills argus on ult state will be useless till the stuns disappear or they run away. Argus has one of the Lowest health on game and powerful basic attack on Late g. There are some heroes that can dodge some cc's that is not direct attack on hero.
Does this mean moonton will do a rerun of the starwars collab event? I'm not even here for the collab event(I'm too broke and unlucky) and honestly this change could change his performance. Although they made the takeback by increasing the ult cd, his ult duration is back to og 5sec. But honestly his og version is much more powerful than his current version especially back when scarlet phantom existed. His scaling is much scarier in his prime since you literally can go one on one against anyone on the match and you have at least a 95% chance of winning, that other 5% is there for situations that include CC or anything that disrupts argus' movements and any 2 on 1 fights with argus. That insane passive recharge with inspire kind of reminds me of his prime except you can do the same even without popping ult. His lifesteal is also insane before all the changes they did on him and his core items. This change would somewhat bring back that old experience.

So, in my observation argus is kind of like nana in a way because once he reaches 1 hp the 3s of immortality triggers just like nana's ability to escape with 1 hp , but the only differences is that argus is free tp either run away or stay. awesome change.
Here an explanation. The change only on his ult, which is an improvement and a buff. I love this change. His ult now is not an immediate immortal but has 2 state and they remove the purify when trigger, all damage dealt during ult will become HP when duration end. The 1st state, his ult put you in Fallen Angel mode for 5 sec dealing explosive transformation. In this state, Argus will gain 80% movement speed for 2 sec and buff his passive if explosion damage an enemy, the enchanced basic attack will regenerate 50 passive energy instead of just dealing damage allowing you to spam EBA more frequent. Pair it with his 2nd skill, you will always trigger EBA. Demo time stamp 2:25. this is huge dps gain, especially if you were build critical item. The 2nd state is the immortality. Within his 5sec Fallen Angel mode, if you were to die in that time frame, you will enter immortality state for 3 sec and gain back 2 sec 80% movement speed buff. After that 3 sec, ult state will end. In conclusion, instead of just being emergency saver like immortality item on last sec, you want to use it early to improve dps. then exit before ult run out or try to die within last sec in Fallen Angel state to enter immortality. This change further buff his critical build as he can easily gain energy and spam EBA and 80% movement boost to chase or run. For information how much 80% is, Both bod and corrosion scythe give 5% movement speed while sprint spell give 50%. Dont forget his 2nd skill curse trail also give you 40% movement speed. nah they make it harder , why not simplified it, his ultimate if used by pressing it going to be 5 second, while if you almost dead reach 0, your ultimate active automatic but only 2-3 second, no damage extra like if you press it yourself , see simple as that and super usefull, too make it fair and strong , they seperate the cooldown, 180 second for passive death imunity, 30 second for the normal death immunity, but both death imunity is able to be scaled using cd reduction, man moontoon just need to hire me

Argus actually is good but the passive is just not great enough, Argus is already good at Damage and Survivebility but when counterin enemy that had flicker or blink skill it will be hard for Argus to chase them. And My idea for the reworked Passive is Passive: Every 1% HP max HP lost Argus gain 1 stack of “Rage” after reaching 10 stack Argus Basic attack will deal (Argus Original basic attack) (+52% total physical attack) and 20% slow for 1 second, If Basic attack not used for 5 second the Stack will be reduced to 5 stack, During the period of echanted Basic attack Argus gain 20%-30% Movement speed until the Basic attack is used or expired.
Super cool ult change now the only thing he left is the 3 slash passive that makes mini dashes on enemies and the more atk speed argus has the more quickly unload the slashes
Don't lie to them, as a former top 1 global Argus I can assure you that Argus only gets worse as time goes by, the only thing that keeps it standing over the years are the changes to items, you don't realize that we spend from 5 seconds of ulti where we had a total of 3 lives, the shorter the time it lasts the more counter per cc it will have, we went to 4 seconds and now 3, soon 2, so Argus will lose his insignia and it is better to go to honor of kings who really don't have a loton immortal hero won't have it either

I've been using argus a lot lately and It got me to mythic in just 2 days since people tend to underestimate his damage. The ult being shortened when the hp bar is depleted with the cd cooldown increase would make Argus join teamfights less often. But it would help him fight the meta fighters with the rage bar buff. I still hate the change though since I like playing him like an assasin targeting squishy heroes and the enemy core on teamfights which the shortened time make me less versatile
But at least Argus mostly remained the same. Still the same auto attack hero from day 1. Masha literally went from generic attack speed fighter to an HP DPS then to fighter again and the current one as pure burst damage.
Argus Skill 1 and 2 has prob one of the most basic but kinda lacking, it would be better if Skill 2 is enhanced AA. But his main gameplay is relentlessly attacking you or just the splitpusher lol

Those thinking that this is a buff, please take note of a few nerfs that are actually not explained in the video: 1. Biggest nerf - based on the skill description, seems like it no longer removes debuffs. That means if you go in and get stun locked, you are dead. 2. 2nd nerf - ulti now has cast animation. That adds to the delay and possibly means it’s interruptible. 3. 3rd nerf - duration resets to 3s once u hit 1hp. The combined effect of the above means if enemy has heavy cc or high burst, you need to ulti before you go in. But that also means you lose out on the aoe dmg “buff” which is supposed to instantly charge your passive. Certain plays are no longer possible because it doesnt remove debuffs anymore. Currently, argus easily beats chou because you can ulti in the first phase of chou’s ultimate and he cannot follow up on his 2nd phase at all. 90% of the chous you meet will die instantly to that. The ultimate also previously clears minsi’s, yuzhong and wanwan’s stacks (for wanwan, only before all 4 hits are achieved), so you can prevent your opponent’s sustains and escape options from happening. I’d really prefer if they just keep it simple. Give me a 5s ulti, keep the current purify and instacast effect, and just don’t change it further.
You know what baffles me is that what if the ult is turned into his passive much like aurora and nana, and have it so that his ult is like another dash skill that enhances his normal attacks and increased range

So basically, if u wanna truly achieve 8sec immortality you'll need haas claws to actually efficiently use those 5seconds instead of immediately skipping it to the actual 3 sec immortality. Haasclaws and inspire should give him enough heal to last 5sec.....ahh i donno actually he can get melted pretty easily
the bad thing about argus is that he is a scaling hero (item dependent), so most of the time he will get rekt by other meta explane in the early game (terizla,yuzhong,paquito,diroth and so on) but his late game damage is pretty scary, so with this revamp im expecting him to be on the goldlane (like freya)

Im thinkin fleeting time in the mid game round would help with more team fights but for late game, it'll just eat up an item slot and his dps wouldn't really be as good as fully built dps. Now Argus' ultimate is a make-or-break skill, because it's either you use up all the five seconds or your hp drained too fast so the 3 second timer overwrote the 5 second duration.
2:31 people getting shocked with this when the current crit build Argus with Inspire does the same thing and deletes Squishies in a sec and melts tanks, its just they changed the extra malice energy gain from his skill 2 to ultimate which is a nerf imo
Wrong This new Argus ult the 5 second state is not the real immortality but when you use the ult early and reach 1 hp, that's the real immortal state. Basically ult early and jump, when reach to 1 hp his ultimate will trigger to immortality state. Even with sky peircer won't kill him.
I think they should make his ult high risk high reward. His ult duration will be based on his hp left before triggering it, lower hp, higher duration and lower cd. It will also automatically trigger when hp hits zero but will greatly reduce its duration.
It’s a semi-buff to his ult (more speed to chase) and more spammable Passive. But it’s a nerf to Argus overall. His immortality is nerfed down to 3 seconds (it’s 4 now in Original Server, and 5 pre-revamp), his Passive Rage Regen is removed, and because his ult CD got nerfed, it’ll be harder for Argus to fight as he needs to wait longer to get his ult back. Also, Just to clarify something very important that Hororo got mistaken in the video, Argus immortality DOES NOT last 8 seconds. His ult now enhances him for 5 seconds, if Argus “dies” during the enhancement, he will gain 3 seconds immortality.
I kinda wish that instead of this they just gave him waaay better hybrid defense stats and lifesteal stats and increased range on his basic attacks. The problem I have with Argus is that he's too frail without his ult, to the point that I rarely want to engage without it. He relies too much on his ult and I wish he didn't have to.
Hororo chan, can you test martis with skypiercer, he got a buff, now in adv server any damage right after ult will reset its cooldown, so maybe martis roam with dire hit and skypiercer to oneshot anyone under 50% hp is a thing lol.
Its to op i think they should make it like this “When argus uses his ult he sends out a concussive blast and he gains 3 seconds of immortality and 50% mov speed and turns 100% of his damage dealt to hp, when the concussive blast of his ult hits a cursed enemy it will enhance warmonger and his ult will have a second phase, when argus health goes down to 0 in this state he will gain 2 more second of immortality and 25% mov speed.
i think what be also a good buff or will make argus just op is when he uses his ult like the aoe should pull some enemies a bit closer almost like tigreals ult but it's not completely into you just half of the range or it could be like a mini skill which if the enemies start to run you get to activate it pulling them a bit closer to you and a 0.5-0.3 stun would be also good just to keep them from running away.
So if argus initiates with ult & his hp drops to 0 within ult duration, he'll enjoy 8 sec immortality. On the other hand if he get ambushed by burst hero or uses his ult to survive dmg from long range hero like novaria & Xavier while low hp, he'll only have 3 sec immortality. In short only initate with ult & don't get ambushed or kited otherwise only 3 sec ult with 46-38sec cd.
one thing you forgot to mention is that he no longer resets the stack damage of turret once ult ends, meaning if youre taking 2000-4000 turret damage during ult and once your ult ends, you WILL recieve the stacked turret damage, you could die in 1 shot as well, so they they made tower dive more risky

5 seconds for movement speed boost and passive enhancement, if hp reaches zero in this 5 secs, he will enter immortality state for 3 secs.
Also, his ult duration will reduce if his HP remains 0, so I say it's a fair trade
If you actually watched the vid. His immortality is shortened to 3s but it the 3s timer only starts when you hit 0hp while ult is active. 8s is just the total duration of the ult

I had a chance to test this on advance server. From what I can tell, it's actually not that broken, in fact it can be seen as a nerf. If you actually save the ult for the very last minute, his immortality state will only last for 3 seconds (which is a nerf from 5 seconds). If you plan to actually turret dive by activating his ULT early, you can get to 8 seconds. Overall this actually changed Argus' playstyle more. I do wish his first skill got CD Reduction so it can be easier for escaping or initiating, also he does need more base damage because he is basically a melee marksman, heavily relied on late game.
I think that's what moonton want, they want to make his ult 1hp play, but now player can use it early to gain movement speed, not to mention his passive will greatly enhanced, you spam your passive more than usual
So it's a buff, because the sky piercer players can no longer kill Argus before he activates ult (because you're now supposed to use it early).
I have played against some argus players in exp lane he hurts, I don't he needs base damage buff. They just gotta play around with his skills if they wanna make him meta or smth

I think he deserves it, he rely too much on his ultimate he's a glass cannon, one wrong move or timing on his ult and you're dead. He's also easily countered with just walking away, this movement buff will make him pretty strong!

I like how the DEVS made it so similar to how Freya used to activate her ultimate skill back then, also I feel like instead of immortality, a commentor in this section said that basically you get super enhanced when you use your ult, but not immortal, however once you lose all of your health, then you gain the immortality which lasts only 3 seconds, if you know how to manage, basically argus can be enhanced for 8 whole seconds, if you use it too late, he is only enhanced by 3 senconds, but to be honest, even if you are too late, the other effects this new ult compensartes for a 3 seconds duration ult

@@BaddMaw Well to be fair if the enemy has cc stun skills (depends if high damage) argus will need to use ult to counter it but if the enemy saved it stun cc knockback skills argus on ult state will be useless till the stuns disappear or they run away. Argus has one of the Lowest health on game and powerful basic attack on Late g. There are some heroes that can dodge some cc's that is not direct attack on hero.

I'm not even here for the collab event(I'm too broke and unlucky) and honestly this change could change his performance. Although they made the takeback by increasing the ult cd, his ult duration is back to og 5sec. But honestly his og version is much more powerful than his current version especially back when scarlet phantom existed.
His scaling is much scarier in his prime since you literally can go one on one against anyone on the match and you have at least a 95% chance of winning, that other 5% is there for situations that include CC or anything that disrupts argus' movements and any 2 on 1 fights with argus.
That insane passive recharge with inspire kind of reminds me of his prime except you can do the same even without popping ult. His lifesteal is also insane before all the changes they did on him and his core items. This change would somewhat bring back that old experience.

Here an explanation.
The change only on his ult, which is an improvement and a buff. I love this change.
His ult now is not an immediate immortal but has 2 state and they remove the purify when trigger, all damage dealt during ult will become HP when duration end.
The 1st state, his ult put you in Fallen Angel mode for 5 sec dealing explosive transformation.
In this state, Argus will gain 80% movement speed for 2 sec and buff his passive if explosion damage an enemy, the enchanced basic attack will regenerate 50 passive energy instead of just dealing damage allowing you to spam EBA more frequent. Pair it with his 2nd skill, you will always trigger EBA. Demo time stamp 2:25. this is huge dps gain, especially if you were build critical item.
The 2nd state is the immortality. Within his 5sec Fallen Angel mode, if you were to die in that time frame, you will enter immortality state for 3 sec and gain back 2 sec 80% movement speed buff. After that 3 sec, ult state will end.
In conclusion, instead of just being emergency saver like immortality item on last sec, you want to use it early to improve dps. then exit before ult run out or try to die within last sec in Fallen Angel state to enter immortality.
This change further buff his critical build as he can easily gain energy and spam EBA and 80% movement boost to chase or run.
For information how much 80% is, Both bod and corrosion scythe give 5% movement speed while sprint spell give 50%. Dont forget his 2nd skill curse trail also give you 40% movement speed. You are the flash.

Argus actually is good but the passive is just not great enough, Argus is already good at Damage and Survivebility but when counterin enemy that had flicker or blink skill it will be hard for Argus to chase them. And My idea for the reworked Passive is
Passive:
Every 1% HP max HP lost Argus gain 1 stack of “Rage” after reaching 10 stack Argus Basic attack will deal (Argus Original basic attack) (+52% total physical attack) and 20% slow for 1 second, If Basic attack not used for 5 second the Stack will be reduced to 5 stack, During the period of echanted Basic attack Argus gain 20%-30% Movement speed until the Basic attack is used or expired.

I've been using argus a lot lately and It got me to mythic in just 2 days since people tend to underestimate his damage. The ult being shortened when the hp bar is depleted with the cd cooldown increase would make Argus join teamfights less often. But it would help him fight the meta fighters with the rage bar buff. I still hate the change though since I like playing him like an assasin targeting squishy heroes and the enemy core on teamfights which the shortened time make me less versatile
With this new ult, Argus can be more flexible with how he uses it since he can use it both offensively and defensively unlike his old ult.

Those thinking that this is a buff, please take note of a few nerfs that are actually not explained in the video:
1. Biggest nerf - based on the skill description, seems like it no longer removes debuffs. That means if you go in and get stun locked, you are dead.
2. 2nd nerf - ulti now has cast animation. That adds to the delay and possibly means it’s interruptible.
3. 3rd nerf - duration resets to 3s once u hit 1hp.
The combined effect of the above means if enemy has heavy cc or high burst, you need to ulti before you go in. But that also means you lose out on the aoe dmg “buff” which is supposed to instantly charge your passive.
Certain plays are no longer possible because it doesnt remove debuffs anymore. Currently, argus easily beats chou because you can ulti in the first phase of chou’s ultimate and he cannot follow up on his 2nd phase at all. 90% of the chous you meet will die instantly to that. The ultimate also previously clears minsi’s, yuzhong and wanwan’s stacks (for wanwan, only before all 4 hits are achieved), so you can prevent your opponent’s sustains and escape options from happening.
I’d really prefer if they just keep it simple. Give me a 5s ulti, keep the current purify and instacast effect, and just don’t change it further.
You know what baffles me is that what if the ult is turned into his passive much like aurora and nana, and have it so that his ult is like another dash skill that enhances his normal attacks and increased range
I hope they add control immunity to the 2nd phase of his 1st skill similar to YSS.
This changes on Argus is great. I feel like Argus is similar to Freya where you don't wanna mess with this guys when their ult is active. The way to deal with them is poking and Kite them.

Haasclaws and inspire should give him enough heal to last 5sec.....ahh i donno actually he can get melted pretty easily
the bad thing about argus is that he is a scaling hero (item dependent), so most of the time he will get rekt by other meta explane in the early game (terizla,yuzhong,paquito,diroth and so on) but his late game damage is pretty scary, so with this revamp im expecting him to be on the goldlane (like freya)

Im thinkin fleeting time in the mid game round would help with more team fights but for late game, it'll just eat up an item slot and his dps wouldn't really be as good as fully built dps. Now Argus' ultimate is a make-or-break skill, because it's either you use up all the five seconds or your hp drained too fast so the 3 second timer overwrote the 5 second duration.

I think they should make his ult high risk high reward. His ult duration will be based on his hp left before triggering it, lower hp, higher duration and lower cd. It will also automatically trigger when hp hits zero but will greatly reduce its duration.
It’s a semi-buff to his ult (more speed to chase) and more spammable Passive.
But it’s a nerf to Argus overall. His immortality is nerfed down to 3 seconds (it’s 4 now in Original Server, and 5 pre-revamp), his Passive Rage Regen is removed, and because his ult CD got nerfed, it’ll be harder for Argus to fight as he needs to wait longer to get his ult back.
Also, Just to clarify something very important that Hororo got mistaken in the video, Argus immortality DOES NOT last 8 seconds. His ult now enhances him for 5 seconds, if Argus “dies” during the enhancement, he will gain 3 seconds immortality.

“When argus uses his ult he sends out a concussive blast and he gains 3 seconds of immortality and 50% mov speed and turns 100% of his damage dealt to hp, when the concussive blast of his ult hits a cursed enemy it will enhance warmonger and his ult will have a second phase, when argus health goes down to 0 in this state he will gain 2 more second of immortality and 25% mov speed.

i think what be also a good buff or will make argus just op is when he uses his ult like the aoe should pull some enemies a bit closer almost like tigreals ult but it's not completely into you just half of the range or it could be like a mini skill which if the enemies start to run you get to activate it pulling them a bit closer to you and a 0.5-0.3 stun would be also good just to keep them from running away.
So if argus initiates with ult & his hp drops to 0 within ult duration, he'll enjoy 8 sec immortality. On the other hand if he get ambushed by burst hero or uses his ult to survive dmg from long range hero like novaria & Xavier while low hp, he'll only have 3 sec immortality. In short only initate with ult & don't get ambushed or kited otherwise only 3 sec ult with 46-38sec cd.

one thing you forgot to mention is that he no longer resets the stack damage of turret once ult ends, meaning if youre taking 2000-4000 turret damage during ult and once your ult ends, you WILL recieve the stacked turret damage, you could die in 1 shot as well, so they they made tower dive more risky

Ngl this makes it alot harder for people that want to try & main argus now
Tbh, since his ult damages you now, its alot better if they made it the ult last long that depends on how many heroes got hit by his ult.
Example:
- Ult duration default is 4 sec at all level
- each hero hit by ult gains 1 sec added to the ult duration (maximum 3 sec of bonus duration)
They adjusting heroes like they be releasing them on mayhem, all buffed up and modified the heroes dont even feel natural anymore
How? This is literally just a buff. Like you people complain if things don't get buffed and if they do, you still complain.
Just accept that Moonton, for once actually made a pretty good decision, because this buff is pretty good (and yes his playstyle changed a bit because you're now supposed to use ult early, but that's way better now because Sky Piercer sucks for late Ult Argus users).

The only thing moonton needs to adjust for argus is his ult theme, they should make it loud and be heared by the enemy team
