@@jadetorres2266 I had to play a band final in 6/8 time and this metronome video was really unhelpful. So while it sounds pretty it does not work well.
Wrong. This is 3/4 with accents. 6/8 at 60 BPM should be 60 dotted quarters per minute, which is three quavers per second. This is because 6/8 is a compound duple time. A compound time is a metre in which every beat is divided in three pulses. This is 6/8 at 40 BPM, as there are 120 quavers in a minutes; as they should be grouped in three, we got 120/3 = 40 BPM.
This is bad I’m doing practice exercises for sight singing for when my audition comes and I’m terrible at rhythm. I mean it was helpful because I can actually look at these exercises and one of them was in 6/8 but I should know this…
Frank Daniel Salamida you would count each eighth note as one beat Because the eighth note receives the beat because the bottom number is an 8 meaning the eighth note.
I'm not understanding how this is 60bpm, neither the clicks nor the pulse is close to 60bpm. Do I just not understand how tempo works with odd time signatures or is this wrong?
It’s the time sig. 60 bpm is correct its because its 6 beats in 8 counts. Something like that idk how to explain the logic but this is technically how time sigs work like 5/4 is 5 beats in a 4 bar and 7/4 is 7 beats in a 4 bar its weird. That’s why they’re called odd time sigs.
I really cannot understand why would you put reverb on the metronome dude...
It sounds kinda nice. It would suck if they plugged in a delay pedal or something.
@@mattimaranda9638 it sounds nice, but if you actually try to use it to play music then it's hell

@@crethan219 i find it absolutely fantastic to use it for singing. the sound falls so regularly that it works as a kind of "time until next bop"

In music, I know that the unit of BPM in 6/8 time is 1.5 beats.
THIS IS WRONG! 6/8 means 3 eight-notes receive a main beat, this one is 2 eight-notes in 60BPM.
Sorry, mate this is 40 bpm. The beat (pulse) is 3 eights, not two. The pulse in 6/8 is a dotted quarter note.
I thought I was tripping.

Is this played in a dotted quarter note?
No each beat is an eighth note and every time the sound is high or low that is a dotted quarter
im sorry but this sounds so creepy HAHAHA
