5:44 I’m fine with vegans. I’m just not fine with vegans forcing everyone else to be vegan, or people who base their entire personality on being vegan. They give vegans a bad name.
I'm vegan and I understand what pushes people away from it. All I wish is that people would educate themselves properly on what they're eating rather than ignore the situation. I'm not vegan for the animals but for the environment which I'm more passionate about. The stereotype of "crazy animal loving vegans" are all people associate vegans with (including me in the past) but that was created to make vegans look bad and like their only reasoning for it was the animals. It just aggravates me so much when people wouldn't at least listen/look at what is going on right under their noses. I dont agree with dressing as a cow and throwing blood at people outside McDonalds but instead keeping an open dialog rather than dismissing every vegan as crazy. Saying that I don't respect meat eaters decision to eat meat but the majority of the time it boils down to people just not knowing anything about it.
@@TediousMilkshake Do you consider vegans talking about veganism or doing activism as basing their personality around veganism? My personality is 100% not based around it but the current dialog is open so I'm talking about it. FINALLY we shall bare witness to the BATTLE OF THE CENTURY!!! (this was sarcasm, for gods sake, don't take it seriously, I know some of you will)
The worst thing about all of this is that it gets him what he wants, people are talking about him. Hell, I saw a news article about him yesterday. People need to stop giving him attention.
I think Nick might be mindless, he used to be actually very cool, have you seen his first videos? I'm pretty sure he was a vegan, he played the violin, and made vlogs, now he's attempting to be comedic, scream, and do mukbang. I think he ruined his life with food and now he just wants to still make money off of it, life is pretty awful to him, I think he deserves some mercy for how he is.
Please elaborate. What is considered as the nervous system in plants? Btw, even if plants do feel pain. You kill less plants by switching to a plant based diet. A lot more plants are killed to feed animals than the amount necessary to feed every human on a plant based diet. Farm animals are fed with plants.
Plants contain veins in their leaves and stems and move liquids around their “bodies” when they get hot they use their liquids to transpire water through the pores in their leaves to cool them selves down When they get cold, they slow these liquids to prevent loss of heat which ultimately slows their growth Some Plants (like poinsettias and mandivillas) will “bleed” a tacky white substance to prevent infections and disease and even repel pests There’s also the humble plant (really, that’s what it’s called) that reacts to touch and stimulation Plants (mainly weeds) will move an adjust themselves to avoid dangers or form symbiotic relationships with microorganisms Plants even have a preference to music. And I use the term “brain” loosely really, most “thoughtful” actions in a plant are various chemical reactions and environmental stimuli, but then again our brains are practically made up of chemical reactions and environmental stimulus too Really I just said this in reaction to her “animals have feelings plants do not” every living thing has feeling, just built in a different way
@@Monster_NopeNope Even if plants could experience suffering you kill more plants by eating animals! Veins are not part of a nervous system. Being able to react to stimuli is technically having a nervous system, but plants are not anywhere close to the level of consciousness of animals by orders of magnitude. Cameras are able to react to stimuli too. The level of consciousness of plants is closer to a camera than to animals.
Fun fact, plants actually do in fact feel pain just in a different way than us. They recognize when they are being eaten and get stressed. Some plants even have certain responses to try and make the animal stop and move on. So what makes their pain and stress less than an animals?
Endgame : “the greatest crossover in history” *Dhar mann, vegan teacher, and Nikocado collab happens* Agusttheduck: “the real greatest crossover in all of history”
Laughing so hard as she tries to convince nik to go vegan. Felt like watching a classmate fail hard at a book summary because they were too lazy to do the reading....
@MrHolyKindness World hunger is about distrubution and access to food. We have enough food for everyone. So... growing plants or raising animals isn't the issue in my opinion.
It's a circle of life thing. Plants eat animals. No animals means no plants will grow. Scientists have estimated if everyone just abruptly went vegan one day, the earth would be unable to grow any life in 10 years. Veganism woul kill the whole planet. Think of a swarm of locus invading a crop, only instead of little bugs it's humans.
Wasn't it just yesterday we saw that Social Knockout video where RUclipsrs step into the ring facing each other? Is THIS maybe the buildup for the next big fight? I would definitely watch it!
Man, I want to scream at her. She needs to do her research. He WAS a vegan. He dedicated his entire channel to it early on. Of course he's fallen from grace, but still.
Nothing infuriates me more than vegans saying “holocaust” regarding people who eat meat. People don’t eat meat because of racial/species superiority complexes. Factory farming isn’t the way it is because humans hate animals and take pleasure in killing them and food is seen as the byproduct. People don’t report their fellow neighbors because they suspect them for being meat eaters and are executed. Words have meanings, and when people take words of historical significance and apply it lesser concepts or personal life choices to make it more dramatic/dangerous is disingenuous, disrespectful, and asinine. It’s like when people try to label others as “-phobic” or “-ist” or using an “-ism” to ideas they don’t agree with. It’s so stupid 😡😡😡
100% agree. When vegans use the word Holocaust to further their agenda, it infuriates me. Their privileged dietary choices have nothing to do with the millions of people who were tortured and killed.
@Micheals Guns You cannot ignore people’s ignorance. Crap like this has to be corrected because it happens waaaaay too often. Especially during this era of “cancel culture”. People believe ignoring this nonsense will make it go away. That will only exacerbates this problem. As a black person I also get upset when I hear/see other black people talk about the trauma of slavery and weaponizing it as if they themselves had lived through it. People become desensitized when they hear the word over and over again. The meaning slowly shifting to something else. Words matter, and meanings are subject to change due to the time period they are being used. Not trying to be preachy or come at you wrong, I apologize if it seems that way. But I’m tired of people using words/terminology to fit their narrative disregarding its origins. Again I’m sorry; I see red when I hear this crap.
I didnt see what year this was posted but when i saw the title i was like “oh this is so 2023”, then realized this was 2 years ago and that both these people haven’t changed at allll
If she didn't know that Nickocado was a vegan before, it might mean she hasn't seen the videos of you roasting her. That Vegan Teacher is about as spineless as the foods she eats. :D
They don't experience pain like we do. They don't have a brain to process that. Another fun fact: eating meat increases the agriculture land and uses twice as much of plants to overfeed the livestock (50 billion a year) thus increasing deforestation, world hunger, and climate change.
8:58 actually, there's appearing research, that plants actually *feel* pain and have ability to cry. And even if we suppose, that they don't, then there's still another problem: humans don't feel pain in brain. Does it mean we should be eating human brains? And not to mention, there are some animals, which probably don't feel pain as well.
I heard there’s this wired sea creature with a detachable penis and a frog that purposely breaks its own finger bones and uses them as claws so ya there probably is a few.
I've always warned my kids about the dangers of strangers offering vegan chicken nuggets. If they get involved they know I can't avoid the therapy and rehab.
I had a mentor at a youth club who would only allow us to eat vegan food when we were at youth club or at summer camp…which would have been fine, had one of the kids not been diabetic. Her blood sugar dropped to an insanely low point, and she got shouted at for trying to get help. This teacher reminds me of that mentor.
She's not entirely right. They've done studies where plants can emit sounds so it's believed plants do have some sort of ability to communicate with other plants, therefore they must have some kind of brain, heart and nervous system. Be a vegan if you like, that's cool, but in the iconic words of Kurt Cobain..."It's ok to eat fish cause they don't have any feelings".... plants as well my dear.
How they have brain and consciousness?that makes no sense.i am not vegan or vegeterian but some nonveg or carnivour people make so stupid claim about plants that makes my head blown up
@@proudexmuslim2354 I'm not vegan or vegetarian but if you just do a quick Google search on the science of it (& possibly open your mind a bit) you will find several studies on it. However, by all means, close your thought processes off....
All the claims made by the vegan teacher about plants not having a nervous system or brains or not being able to feel anything is just assumptions, humans know very little about how plants actually work, yes we are do know a lot but we also assume we know everything and we don’t, we’re very naïve. And if these people want to help the planet how is removing plants supposed to help?
Either way, Far more plant die for the production of animal products than from their direct consumption by humans. Meat is a far less efficient source of food. Maybe you learned about the 10% rule in biology? If the argument is that people shouldn't eat many plants cause they feel pain then the best thing to do is eat less meat so less plants are killed in order to feed the massive appetite that farm animals have on daily basis. I don't think the world is going vegan but cultured/lab meat may very well eliminate the environmental and ethical issue caused by animal agriculture fairly soon.
@@Rationality4Life lab meat is on the rise, not to mention it's a good compromise for both parties. People can still eat meat and it's far better for the planet while the worst pain the animal gets is a needle prick. Factory farming sucks anyway
I mean, plants have some levels of sentience, and they have been scientifically proven to feel pain. Also your not wrong when you said lobsters don't feel pain, their pain receptors have no reaction to boiling heat, so don't feel bad when boiling them. I can assure its the most painless death possible. Also, see urchins don't feel pain at all, even when cutting them in half 🤣. They just notice it got colder 🤣

@@kaz1819 I already said I’m fine with vegans. I don’t like vegans who centre their entire personality around being vegan.
@@TediousMilkshake Do you consider vegans talking about veganism or doing activism as basing their personality around veganism? My personality is 100% not based around it but the current dialog is open so I'm talking about it. The activism you would've seen is only a slither of vegans lives as well (unless they're really active at it). At that I don't see the issue with vegans who do because those are the ones trying to proceed the movement. And I'm not talking about ThatVeganTeacher who goes about it wrong but people who actually educate in a civil way like EarthlingEd. I find it admirable that he bases his life around saving animals in his sanctuary and educating people on the consequences of eating meat.

I mean, plants do “technically” have a nervous system, and a brain too
Brain? What is it called?
Please elaborate. What is considered as the nervous system in plants?
Btw, even if plants do feel pain. You kill less plants by switching to a plant based diet. A lot more plants are killed to feed animals than the amount necessary to feed every human on a plant based diet. Farm animals are fed with plants.
Plants contain veins in their leaves and stems and move liquids around their “bodies” when they get hot they use their liquids to transpire water through the pores in their leaves to cool them selves down
When they get cold, they slow these liquids to prevent loss of heat which ultimately slows their growth
Some Plants (like poinsettias and mandivillas) will “bleed” a tacky white substance to prevent infections and disease and even repel pests
There’s also the humble plant (really, that’s what it’s called) that reacts to touch and stimulation
Plants (mainly weeds) will move an adjust themselves to avoid dangers or form symbiotic relationships with microorganisms
Plants even have a preference to music.
And I use the term “brain” loosely really, most “thoughtful” actions in a plant are various chemical reactions and environmental stimuli, but then again our brains are practically made up of chemical reactions and environmental stimulus too
Really I just said this in reaction to her “animals have feelings plants do not” every living thing has feeling, just built in a different way
@@Monster_NopeNope Even if plants could experience suffering you kill more plants by eating animals!
So what makes their pain and stress less than an animals?

so true
@MrHolyKindness World hunger is about distrubution and access to food. We have enough food for everyone. So... growing plants or raising animals isn't the issue in my opinion.
It's a circle of life thing. Plants eat animals. No animals means no plants will grow. Scientists have estimated if everyone just abruptly went vegan one day, the earth would be unable to grow any life in 10 years. Veganism woul kill the whole planet. Think of a swarm of locus invading a crop, only instead of little bugs it's humans.

I'm not Jewish, but it still makes me angry when a vegan uses that word

They don't experience pain like we do. They don't have a brain to process that. Another fun fact: eating meat increases the agriculture land and uses twice as much of plants to overfeed the livestock (50 billion a year) thus increasing deforestation, world hunger, and climate change.

plants do have a nervous system, technically. it's not fully like humans but kinda like humans.

@@Rationality4Life an actual good arguement nice
