Children who grew up in one of Jerusalem's neighborhoods, relate the events - exciting and tragic - which they faced during the end of the British Mandate in Palestine, and the 1948 War. The documentary material which were found during the making of the film which their parents left, (letters, diaries and colour 8 mm home movies), make these dramatic and historic days come alive.
