Has to be Velus Jones Jr. He was expected to do big things in return game and be serviceable at WR but unfortunately he's been disappointing at both

Velus makes the team. He's improved his learning, and gaining confidence. He will be a good player.
Generally speaking, teams are loathe to drop a 3rd round pick just a year removed, assuming the player doesn't flat out suck or is a team cancer, for which neither situation applies to Velus. Still, he just can coast on his draft status, he'll need to step it up this preseason.
Agreed Ryan poles is a firm believer in his draft picks. Unless he was a 6th or 7th round guy he’s stickin around. Coaches have been praising him sayin he’s got some “juice” this off-season. I like velus think he’s got qualities that make him valuable on offense.
I know one of the receivers has to be cut they don’t have room for all of them unless someone gets injured before the season starts and it’s a big time injury that would take them out half the season or longer so I’m hoping they cut st brown cause he’s a cluck and he’s dropped too many balls already in the first season here and has been sent to the practice squad in Green Bay before and his brother is good so we know he could be really good if he was putting everything in it but he even said it himself when he got to the league he didn’t put everything he’s got into being a good receiver so he needs to learn his lesson that he needs to work harder and he can learn that by being cut and picked up by Detroit
@@mr.fukk12 Really, the only reason St. Brown has a solid shot at making the team is he's the best blocker in the WR group. If it wasn't for that, he'd have no chance of making the team.

Here's the thing about Gipson. He was the most double teamed DE last season. Which means hes the only person on the line with any chance to hurt them.
Elite pass rushers beat double teams at leadt some.
But its safe to say that if the DT and opposite DE get any kind of pressure, Gipson's numbers should improve.

I think we should keep Vildor just in case we get banged up of the course of the year. He’s battle tested and I would way rather have Vildor start in a pinch rather than the other guys but just my opinion

If we go into the '23 campaign with the roster as is, the chances are all five stick. The question is will Poles sign any more players, either thru ongoing free agency or other team cuts as the preseason moves forth. That could possibly result in one or two of these guys being let go.

I think Terrell Lewis, if healthy, can be a very good player for this team..He finally made plays with the Rams and could be a great FA signing.,
Darnell Mooney is on the hot seat. Nobody thinks of him, but if he's lost any of that speed from the ankle injury, the Bears will need to IR him to give him more time. That means both Velus and Dainty Penis make the team. I don't see Borom on the hot seat. He might be the top swing tackle or a 2nd swing tackle. Leatherwood simply has to show that his issues in the past was actually Mono and not just a terrible work ethic. So far, he's missed some practices which doesn't get that done. He's on the hot seat. The league seems to have too many RBs currently. I could see Travis Homer getting traded, or sent to the practice squad. Not really the hot seat for him, just not enough room on the roster. Ebner is either gone, gone, or headed to the practice squad. Gipson will make the team even after signing Houston as a free agent. I don't think they will offer him an extension, but he'll be here for that final season. Harrison might be spot on with Vildor. He's below average and makes decent money. I think BOTH our rookie CBs will make the team, so Vildor is on the hotseat.

Dante pettis and velus Jones need to be given a chance this season velus Jones upside is too high and pettis has done a lot more than the other receivers in terms of catching everything thrown to him and picked up velus Jones spot in the return game and did some good things doing that when asked and st brown has done shit but block and dropped some big passes that would have helped a lot last season and helped fields numbers and he needs to go he should have never been picked up and shouldn’t have gotten another contract this offseason
