Nooooo! That's kinda heartbreaking, I've been enamoured with them ever since i saw they graphed similarly to the delci, but with what looked like a less fatiguing treble.
But after recently having an unvented iem cause my ear to pop and losing sound in the midrange of my left ear for 3 weeks, it became clear that poorly vented iems are not worth it nor worth the risk!!
So thank you for being frank about it as these were very much on my wanted list. I think pressure build up is something that bothers some people and has risks for some people too, so it's definitely something to let people know might be a potential issue or that they should watch out for.
And it's not like you gave it a bad review, you gave it a glowing review, it's just there was also a physical compatibility issue that presented an unignorable problem, resulting in what is a reasonable conclusion...

I haven’t experienced pressure build up before personally but I completely understand. No one is going to wear a set of iems that are painful. I still will try to get them in the future based off of your description of the sound of them. Hopefully I won’t have my first experience with pressure build up.😮 Great honest review as usual!

Reddit member sforzabull is a really cool dude who has a nice sense of humor. I have nicknamed him the King of Cables (as if he is the king of a country) since he always manages to find fantastic looking cables which he aesthetically pairs with IEMs in his huge IEM collection. He doesn't simply pair in terms of aesthetics. Instead, he also pairs in terms audio quality and cable quality. It is delightful to hear that he loaned these IEMs to you for your review. So to sforzabull and his wife, I want to say that you both totally rock.
4:41 My guess is that Myer-Audio also is the OEM for the Juzear 61T, especially since the 61T cables are the same, and since the shells look like shells which Myer-Audio would design and label.
16:31 Is the 61T technically a non-vented IEM? The 61T appears to have vents which are smaller yet similar to the vents on the DaVinci which are also located in a similar position below the 0.78mm connector jacks on the shells. You mentioned that you also tried Tangzu Tang Sancai Balanced eartips which have textured umbrellas which are designed to relieve pressure with non-vented IEMs. The Sancai eartips work well for me with non-vented IEMs. So wow! I am surprised that these eartips did not work for you with the 61T. Another wow factor, which I have experienced, is that even very slight yet unnoticed internal ear pressure can affect the overall perception for how well any IEM sounds. This might explain why some reviews for the 61T seem to be noticeably divergent in terms of soundstage and imaging since even slight yet unnoticed inner ear pressure can noticeably affect not just the overall sound signature, but also other things such as the perception of resolution and imaging.
Anyway and for what it is worth, I really enjoyed watching and listening to your review. I also really like the fact that you simply "call it as you hear it" in your reviews.

@@apollomoonlandings There does seem to be a vent, or an attempt at a vent exactly where you noticed it. I’m just not sure it makes it through to the acoustic cavity. And interestingly, I could “adjust” the amount of pressure with a particular ear tip once inserted, but I kept having to adjust it every time I moved my head, or my jaw, and it just got tiresome. I keep thinking about what I would do if I actually owned them. I’m thinking I would keep trying up until the return window was about to close. For sonic performance at that level and for that price, I definitely would still be working on it if they were mine…

@@BassDad8 Thank you for your reply. One thing which I noticed about the vent position on the DaVinci (and apparently the same as on the 61T), is that this results in poorer outside noise isolation, and in particular for noises behind me such as my apartment air conditioner. Do you experience the same? Anyway, tour observations are enough to tell me that the 61T apparently is not a truly vented IEM. This is good to know. Perhaps the 61T does slowly vent over time, yet this is not good enough even if true. I suspect that this IEM would be pretty horrible to use while walking or jogging. Perhaps you could do some quick tests to confirm?

@@apollomoonlandings I had issues just puttering around my desk with a balanced extension cable attached. Every time I thought I had them set just right, I’d move and lose the “good” seal that it took my 15 minutes to get. So no, I’m not recommending for walking or jogging. However, if someone does not have the venting issues I did, and has a set if ear tips that will provide a good and stable seal, they might be fine with the 61t on the go. I have my doubts though…

Thanks for the excellent review, as usual. I wonder if there was a quality defect within these particular IEM's, whereby glue inside the shell has obstructed the vent. However, if the issue is consistent for both Left and Right IEM's, it lends me to think it is a design flaw...or a manufacturing defect. In any event, I will keep my powder dry vis a vis the 61T.
PS: One should not have to valsalva half way through each sound track!

Great review, and really the first one I saw that brings up the venting issue. Thank you for your honesty.
I've got this set because it graphs with a slightly reduced upper mids which is my preference. Once I've put them on I've immediately noticed the venting issue, oddly I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else.
Tankfully I don't feel any pressure, instead the sound is bass anemic when I insert them, but this goes away in about 5-10 mins, so there must be some kind of pressure venting in place. I wonder if the venting holes are so small that they can get clogged up by dust (they certainly look pretty small and have that rubber inster in them).
It's still not perfect though, I definitely feel my ears getting tired a lot faster listening to these than my other IEMs. But the sound is just so good, the bass has a really nice impact but doesn't take over the sound signature, while the vocals still shine for me, without being shouty.

Aligns with my impressions from 2 days of use. The first iem that I've ever had problem with ear pressure, and that discomfort doesn't go away after I take them off, it stay for good hours. It isn't as bad as it was to you. On this set, great seal = awesome bass and immersion, but you notice the pressure build up in 30-60 mins. Or trade isolation for pressure relief. I used Baroque, but bass sounds a little bit muddier, and the stage sounds unrealistically wider. It's definitely worth the price for the sound, cable, and build, but only for certain people.
