- Hi you gorgeous people!
My name's Nick Withey, and today we are going for a more detailed approach for filling over scrim tape, and the techniques used for handling filling blades (Tape and jointing blades).
If you found anything useful, please like and subscribe, i'll really appreciate it!

I used your exact same method some 10 plus years ago in 100 year old house with cracks in plaster. The plaster was sound, just cracks from age. Worked great and the walls are still holding up.
Thanks this vid is spot on for someone who has never done it!
Very nice.... will that filler be a specific type? or general multi-purpose filler? thanks
Best to use joint compound filler.
First time I've ever seen someone tape and fill paper on a table lol
Filler? What if the crack is running along the joint between 2 plaster boards do I use joint compound first before using a filler ?
I think people refer to joint compound and filler as the same thing …
Thank u very very much what type of scrim tape do u recommend?
I've seen some comments about applying filler then scrim tape. What are your thoughts?
Hi.
If the tape is NOT sticky, the fine, but, apply filler, put the tape where required (now you might not see the crack because of the filler) PUSH the tape onto the wall with a stroke motion from your small blade, then reapply the filler.
Best to buy good tape in the 1st place, then you won't have this problem.
Good luck

Good vid, thanks. Where did you get the knifes from please? Think it says 'spekter s' or similar but have searched and can't find anything remotely the same by that name. Ta.
I've had them years. If I can find a link, I'll send it. Admittedly these are the brst knives I've ever seen. It's worth spending a bit more on the., then looking after them.
@@Decorating-yearsinminutesany idea on the knives? I’ve also tried searching and can’t find them.
What filler do you use?
Best to use joint compound filler.
Is that meant to be plasterboard?? 😂
