Top half of the cake is vanilla with fresh strawberry filling.
Bottom half, is chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling.
The bottom half is supported by 4 plastic tea straws.
Between the two halves is a cardboard cake circle, under that is a parchment circle.
A bamboo dowel runs through top to bottom for stability and support.
The mermaid on top has a toothpick attaching her to the rock she is sitting upon.
All elements on the cake are 100% edible. They are either fondant or white chocolate. The seaweed and other translucent elements are made of rice spring roll wraps.
