All purchases really help the channel, Thank you!
I just bought a t8 and it’s a super fun bike. Riding it all around Az. It’s tubeless ready so making it tubeless really woke it up and it was easy.
Polygon makes great bikes for people wanting to push the limits of their riding and not the limits of their credit cards. Everything on that bike is ready ride and ride for a while.
I rode a T8 and damn was Impressed. A very fun bike to ride! The only thing I must say they made small. I ride medium bikes and I had to size up on the large. I actually fit pretty well on x-large! The shop I used work for had them (Mountain Equipement Company) and we could demo them. Great bikes for the money. Incredible value!!!
May I know how tall are you? I'm 5'9" and wondering between M or L sizes. Thanks
I'm 5,9 I took a Medium T8. Love the bike so far.@@yipribadi
I have unfortunately been a victim of the cracked frame issues with my D6. Bike was less than a year old, I am not an advanced rider so no tough stuff nor jumps, the framed cracked at the normal place on the top tube where the gusset is welded to the seat tube. I put in for a warranty claim in March 2023 and got my new frame this week. All of my components need to be switched to the new frame though. They actually sent me a D7 frame for replacement with the new gusset design. I am picking my bike up from the LBS tomorrow. Have been riding a Roscoe 8 while waiting on new frame and have had a blast on that bike. Looking forward to the D7 full squish though. I must say that Polygon does work with you very well on warranty replacements and I didn't have any issues on this claim.
Had mine just over a year in the same black and grey. My seat, grips, and pedals were the must change parts. I also cut my bars down, but I'm fairly short and having my hands so much wider than my shoulders was causing wrist pain. When I swapped my pedals I noticed one of the stock ones was a little bent. Tire wise.....GRIPPY. They aren't the fastest rolling but by no means are they slow. On that, I also run a slightly higher pressure all around. Tires, fork, and rear. Best part about the color is that it's an open pallet for how ever you want to accent it. Mine has orange basically anywhere I could add it.
T8 is awesome. I didn’t feel confident with the tyres, swapped them out with maxxis dhr. Much better rides with them.
Love the T7. Got mine a couple months ago. Same grey and black love this color over the flashy green one. It’s a steal at $1,599. The weight is something to get used to. But I’ve found that I actually enjoy the heavier weight compared to my sub 30lb hard tails on the decents. Really picks up some speed.
I've been rocking a D7 for two years, I really like it. The bike is a lot more capable than I am so the only thing that I have changed was converting the tires to tubeless
I have had a t8 for about a week now. Pretty decent bike for the money. The tires and rims are the only negative. They weigh a ton. I put maxxis dhf and aggressors on it with a set of stans flow s2 rims. Much lighter combo and more hub engagement.
Looks like you're ripping downhill and over some tech at a pretty good clip on the bike. I'm possibly going to go for the T8 or T9 when available in 27.5. It's a simple suspension system no Horst link, no DW or multi link system but that's probably helps keep the price down and the single pivot seems to get it done? The reviews say the bike is pretty biased to downhill and a bit dogfish uphill sucking up pedaling energy vs converting it to forward motion. Weight reduction might help some but it is not a sprightly climber.
The frame is nice, i replaced everything else over the last year tho. The fork is horrible, and the flow snap tyres are heavy and dont roll too well.
I like the flowy ness of that trail..
I rode a full independent suspension horse
The hardtail horse had arthritis.
As far as cracked frames , i think people in comments repost what they read in other comments of other videos without even owning the poly
I was sold on the Polygon until I came across the cracking issues. I thought it was probably a small percentage, but with a little bit of research you'll find its a major issue. Luckily the reputable brands are having great deals right now, and I'm just waiting for a Status to come back in stock.
I have the same color t7 in an XL 29. Had several good spills on it and lots of jumping at valmont. No issues with the frame. Added renthal carbon fat bars, domain 38s in 160mm and a marzoochi bomber coil in the rear. I did great at trestle also!
Great content again sir. I never have ridden a suspension bike before, at that price you can’t go wrong.
Nice video! I bought the 2023 T8 charcoal on sale in May. I wanted the fox suspension. I’ve been super happy with my purchase. I almost bought the T7. But decided to use discount coupons I had along with the sale, plus got a discount with using credit card $100 cash back on purchases or $1500 or more. Then just paid off the card 😂. I don’t think you can beat either for the money.
That's all the bike the average rider needs, we get too hung up on specs and data sometimes. Do yourself a favor, if the wheels are set up for tubeless, just set the pressure someplace around 20-25 pounds and forget about it. Different wheel sizes and diameters and makeups might like 22 better than 20, some might even like 25. Trial and error will give you a rough number. An extremely high level rider going full send down the side of the Grand Canyon can tell the difference between 19 and 19.5 pounds, but for the rest of us, we can overthink it.

I have an N9 for the last 3 years. Its been through some terrain and torture with no issues, only changed the BB
Just got a T8 about a month ago for 1,999. It's a sweet deal.
I have been riding my N7 for some time now. I haven’t had any issues with it. The bike takes a beating since I ride mostly technical trails and it has been very good to me.
I love my Siskiu D6. Incredible value for the money. Polygon is definitely my favorite brand for the value.
The Marin attack trail 8 says otherwise
I just got a t7 used. It rolls over stairs easily after you convert it to tubeless and rides over rocks easy.only downside is that they should have made the dropper on size small lower-I am 156 and the dropper is too tall for me
Love the look and spec of the polygons but still haven't been able to get one since covid took over. Went over to the dark side in the last 2 weeks and got me a full sus EMTB from Bianchi, she's a beaut. Yet to hit the trails but 630 WH battery and 85 nm peddle assist, go float rear Fox 38 up front 160 travel front 150 rear. Still have my Roscoe 7 too and keeping it for pump tracks and travel.
.
I’ve been thinking of upgrading from a Marlin 7 for this exact model. Nice video!
I just ordered these last night! Hopefully I won’t be disappointed 👌🏽
We've got horses on our waling/biking paths near us. Not a fan when they ride the horses just next to the path within kicking distance of riders. Always try to announce well in advance when I'm going to pass them from behind.
I’m thinking about getting one of these
Nice video. Bike is sick! That trail looks so fun
My T8 will be here tomorrow im stoked!!!
Congrats!
@MattyActive just took it out today, omg what a night and day difference from an over 10 yo hardtail to this.... wow...
😎 Do you carry a can of bear spray bro ? Hope so ! Just s reminder. 👍
Fed horses for years; still don’t know how to ride the damn things. Nice video-although I crashed into that rock at 6:50ish- glad you made it through 😉😂
Parts to change and how much weight it will lighten this bike
Decent alloy wheelset will remove 1 to 1.5 pounds
Decent Carbon wheelset will remove 2 pounds easy
Carbon Handlebar will remove half pound
Stepcast Fox 34 fork, 1 pound at least
2.3 or 2.25 tires will remove 1 to 1.5 pounds
Tubeless setup, half pound
Garbaruk Cassette 3/4 pounds
Lighter stem, 100grams
Carbon or Light alloy railed Saddles 150grams
Still loving the Sisku I bought off you, super fun to rip on this trail
That’s awesome!!
I have ridden a horse back home before we moved to the USA. We had a ranch. Here on the trails I see horses, wolves, foxes, coyotes, mountain lions, and two weeks ago a black bear was spotted. 😊. Polygon is it aluminum? I wonder how the polygon compares with trek aluminum bikes
We have horses on many trail systems in MA, and the proof is left behind!
You have to make your way to SoCal one day to check out the Santa Monica & San Gabriel trail networks.
Nice 👍 t7mtb I like my roscoe8 hardtail it's been a good bike for me
We got a couple of trails in Niagara region in Canada that is shared with horse riders. Makes riding some days very interesting with the horse pies left on the trail
Yes...I've rode a horse many times as a younger kid.
I have a polygon T8 and it’s amazing for its price point. The parts are great ❤
I’ve never been able to get schwalbe tires to work for me
I’m digging Polys.
A friend has a Siskiu and he complains all the time about the weight. He rides an XS because he's less than 5' tall and his bike feels heavier than my Roscoe 8. Plus he cannot insert the dropper low enough to fit his leg length because of the bend in the seat tube.
Dude! How do you not have more followers?? Just found you and love these videos!
Thanks man I appreciate it! Hopefully more will come sooner than later!
@@MattyActive Where in Colorado do you ride? I'm gonna be in the Denver area and would luv to check out the trails. Was in Golden today over at Peak cycles. Will be in Boulder area tomorrow.
As an equestrian and a mountain biker, all I can say is in some/and or most cases mountain biking is easier 😂😂
Looks like you could lean your bike to the right a bit to account for the camber of the trail.
There is a giant stance 29 2 for $1500, wonder which one is better?
Compare it to an orbes Occam. That would be interesting.
After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.
Yes. It’s rated for 300 pounds
I havent heard of cracked polygon frames where i work part time..
I seen horses and ridin them
I like the grey way better, a lot more muted and able to be accented with other parts and components
Rutabaga ( root-uh-bay-guh ) is a root vegetable sort of like a turnip.
Every time I say it I think to myself, why do I keep saying it the wrong way lol.
That's my bike!
I was just thinking...you crush wheelies with ease.
How did you learn?...any pointers or tips?..demo, even?
I know there's tons of videos out there, but it would be cool to see your perspective; if you haven't already.
I can definitely do that!
@@MattyActive NICE! looking forward to it.
What size?
Thinking of getting the T9….great video
Maybe its just the rear shock and not the tires that needed adjustment
I like the Grey better than Yellow
So, which would you recommend. For essentially the same cost. Your hardtail the Roscoe 7 or full suspension Siskiu T7?
Not that ur asking me but I had the same question. Don't know your level but if you're just beginning which I was I was told learn on a hardtail. So went with the Rosco 7 and it's amazing. But loved mountain biking so much 2 months later bought a full suspension YT capra 😂. But all practices will be on the hardtail to rlly learn the feel of mtbs
If it were me knowing what I know now about bikes, I would go with the Roscoe 7. Hardtails are more versatile and makes you a better rider overall. I wouldn’t have a full suspension as my only bike unless all I’m doing is mountain biking and don’t plan to ride it off the trails at all but even then I would still recommend a hardtail if this will be your only bike
@@MaddMaxxMtb I'm an experienced MTBer with a hardtail. Considering a full suspension but realize that some other parts of the mtb have lower end parts to move up to that full suspension.
@geraldgolen9157 definitely i agree with you. Bought my full suspension bike really to put high end parts on as I go and customize it to my liking. As i learn, but ill mostly be charging on that Rosco 7 the dawg!!! 👊🤙
It would be interesting if you could time the 27.5 v 29er, and then the faster of the two v your HT Roscoe.
PS I like the way you manage to talk about the bike when you have the beautiful scenery 🚵🏿♂️👍
Good looking bike.
I have horses on me property and I ride them so ye
Yes I have ridden a a horse before. and NO I haven't see a horse on the trails we ride. We can see goats
Close call there Matty 😆
The tires arent because of you, the hans dampf just wash out alot i had the same problem until i got minions on my t7
Also Marin Rift Zone
Awesome bikes for sure! I love the rift zone.
Impressive
Nice save at the beginning of the trail! I'm not sure if I could pull that off, looked past my point of no return ahahaha
Would love to try out a Polygon, the price is amazing but I don't think they are available here in Europe.
almost died at 6:14
I seen the trek top fuel are heavier
I like those glasses in the beginning. I'm guessing those are from Smith?
What do you think about this compared to the T8?
Honestly it’s pretty much the same bike, T8 just has a little bit better suspension
@@MattyActive I am considering the t6 at its current price point. What do you think about that bike? Is not having the lock out the rear shock necessary ? Thinking I will just update if needed. I will be riding in north east Ohio, nothing crazy like by you.
cool! what are you using for a front camera that faces back at you ?
GoPro hero 7
Some of our trails allow horse too which I don’t mind until you hug a corner and mail a pile of 💩
they're out there giving away Polygons
I can't find this bike in 27.5. All I see is 29 in size large
That’s weird because 27.5 is usually the ones that are in stock the most. Check here. bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/c/4120259/1307246/15955
@@MattyActiveboth t7 and t8 in large only have 29. Maybe the are out of stock. But mediums have 27.5. bummer because I wanted to get one for the next month or 2 before the Snow flies. I'll keep checking the site. Idk if they're out of stock for 27.5 in large or they are just 29 in large. What size are you riding
The people who say they've cracked frames, I have to ask. Exactly what are you doing? Are you riding a $1600 Polygon, when you should be on a $5000 enduro bike?
My frame hasn't cracked. But I've heard that some of the welds are bad where the seat tube meets the top tube. Polygon did give this bike a category 5 rating for jumps and drops though. I regularly hit 6 foot drops and it handles them like a champ. I'm 6'4 and 230 pounds so I'm not a little guy either.
we have horses on our trails, and lets just say it's a shitty situation. :D
hello what size is your bike? and how tall are you?
How does the D6 compare to the T7 after riding them both?
should I get this or the roscoe 7?
It’s just depends what kind of riding you do but I would get the polygon if you’re doing mostly hard trail riding but if you’re doing a lot of different riding I would get the Roscoe 7
Hi sir what would be the best to get if both got the same specs nukeproof reactor or polygon t7 im gonna used it in the long term
Not sure if I missed it in the video but where can you get this bike for $1700 or was it purchased a few years ago for that price?
Bikes online for $1599 right now! bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/c/4120259/1307246/15955
Any and all frames can be cracked no matter who makes it, or how much you pay for it..
Some companies have much better warranties and less issues. I don't have a Polygon, but I almost pulled the trigger on one until I found that issue. It seems to be a major issue for them, and your without a bike for 4-6 months, and their warranty is only 5 years. I saw several people who had cracked their replacement frames.
What is the route to get to rutabaga? Thinking about going tomorrow morning, you want to go?
You take the trail at the entrance all the way straight until you reach the trail. You’ll run right into it. It’s down past the castle. I couldn’t find it either at first.
@@MattyActive Yeah I saw that video, but that sounds easy enough
How can I get this bike if I live in Ga Atlanta? Thx
You can’t order it through this link. bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/c/4120259/1307246/15955
They don’t sell in any stores
Whats size wheels is this bike
27.5
Soooo slooooow-moooooo
Those hans dampf tyres are really good Matty, however like you said you probably didnt have your pressure dialed in to make the most use out of them.
On my D7 I run hans dampf rear at 26psi with a magic mary front at 21psi. For UK riding this is perfect for me, I know hans dampf is a front and rear tyre but it seems more suited as a rear tyre and pairing it up with something grippier at the front, perhaps try swapping out the front tyre next time :)
The best deal is a used yeti
