I'm watching this video a little late but I find it amazing that you talk about your ultimate goal of getting back to Montana. Look where you are now as of 11-19-23, back in Montana and getting back into soaping and sharing all of your talents with the rest of the world! Thank you so much for being "Thee Astounding Holly" !!!! Goal achieved!!
Wow 💜, gorgeous bright pumpkin 🎃 bars. They look luscious and luxurious. The scent sounds fantastic. I love watching your videos. Have a great day. 😍 😍
It looks so nice and creamy, always love watching and listening to you make soap my friend! I hope and pray you guys move to Montana, closer to me!! 🙏😃
As you were emulsifying your soap batter, after adding the lye, I thought to myself, how much it resembled tomato soup 🍲. I know! A strange thought for sure! But in my defense, I have been completely out of it today and half of yesterday. Your soaps always turn out so lovely!
This seems like the perfect soap to keep at the kitchen sink for washing hands this fall! Looks like delectable pumpkin goodness! I just got out my last bar of Snow Candy soap to use in the shower -- good golly it smells amazing! I sure hope that will return this winter ;) even though I know the scent isn't your particular favorite haha :) Thanks for the fun video to get us in the fall mood, Holly!
I’m so blown away that pumpkin is in a can!! We can only get it fresh here in Australia all year round-only veg I’ve seen in a can is peas, corn, and beetroot (all I can think of) 😯 We only eat pumpkin roasted or steamed with other veggies for dinner or make soup :) never in pies, etc we can’t even get anything pumpkin scented or flavoured here lol.
Hey! Holly, when you were doing your blending the noises reminded me of a machine in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory! With you it would be Bubbly Holly and soap satisfactory!! 😀. Lovely jubbly . Thanks 💜
It depends on how warm my base oils are. If they are warm, I'm fine adding the milks cold. But if my oils are at room temperature, I will usually let the milks sit out for 20 minutes or so.
I enjoy watching you make soap so very much. I teach high school and by the end of the day my brain needs something soothing to enjoy. I am so happy I discovered you channel. BTW I absolutely adore the Christmas light wax melts you made last year. I have been trying to find that particular mold to make some with my granddaughter. Any suggestions as to where I might find them?
Thank you Sue! I appreciate that! The molds I have are from Wilton many years ago. I look every now and again (I could use a lot more than two, lol) but I haven't found any either.
Okay I seriously have to order some of this! Thank you Holly for always lifting my spirits always what a blessing you are! Where exactly did you get a KitchenAid stick blender with horsepower? Restaurant Depot? Now I have a immersion blender envy! I want a robo cadet monster!!! 🐾❤️🐈⬛
Haha! I got my KitchenAid at Amazon. It can be hard to find because it's an option under a different KitchenAid stick blender. I do have a link in the description and that should take you right to it. I love it! I even use it when I regular one would do just fine. Thank you Elisabeth!
I was just watching another video and soaper was pouring soap into these little measuring containers and the soap was just spilling down the sides of the pot and all I could think of was, they need to make a stock pot with a pour spout. I made that comment on their video but it was like a 6 year old video so I'm sure the comment will never be seen. You are my most watched soaper and I have bought stuff from you, so I thought I'll this comment here too. They need to make a stock pot with pour spout :)
Thank you! I really appreciate that! Yes, we do need pour spouts! However, they'd have to put one on each side. I have a sauce pan that I use in my real kitchen and it's always on the opposite side that I pour from.
Holly, do you add sugar to your lye water or batter or do you include only the sugars that are found within the milks, purées etc? You seem to have so much time to work with your colors and layers and I find that sugars do speed things up.
Hi Holly, nice soap, how does the pumpkin make your skin feel because I'm thinking of making some myself? Could you tell me what the name of your scent is, or is it a secret?
Hi Holly, I been thinking of y'all and your soaps making. I hope y'all are doing good and almost done building your shop soon and next well be your dream house 🏠.
A long a** time ago from the time I was a baby I would break out in hives to a lot of things like perfumes so my parents would go across the border to get me all natural soaps and at times they were ruff 😮then of course eventually I we were able to purchase natural items in stores Sorry for the story I’m just saying I would of loved to try any of the soaps you make 😊
I don't. Every year I think about doing an eggnog soap but then don't because of all the extra ingredients in the eggnog itself. I need to try it one year just to test it out and see how it holds up.
@@moriversoap you should make your own eggnog! It's very easy. I'm lactose intolerant so I make it every year. It's just milk, eggs, and sugar. Now I want to save some for soap this year!
Ik what you gonna say.."Don't do it!" But I'm seeing this soap mix & I'm thinking it's a delicious pumpkin soup or sweet potato thing & I just wanna eat it😅🤣
I would love to buy candles from you but I know the weight of the glass would have a huge impact on shipping and not to mention safely packing the glass to prevent breakage.
Yeah, there is a lot of risk to go with it. A lot of the big chains ship their candles in refrigerated trucks too. I am able to make candles for me but I don't feel like the wood wicks are consistent and fool-proof enough to sell them yet. It's all about the trimming with the wood wicks.

It's so awesome!!
Your soaps came out beautiful. I can only imagine the fragrance. ❤️😊
Thank you!
You come up with the cutest names for your soaps. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Candice!
I love it when you giggle 🤭…love the soap too of course
Awe thanks! I appreciate that.

Her voice 🥰🥰🥰!! Thank you for your very detailed videos, I love them.
Thank you Monica!
Love that soft caramel color of this soap. As always, really enjoy watching you make soap. 🤎🧡🤎
Thank you!
Wow 💜, gorgeous bright pumpkin 🎃 bars. They look luscious and luxurious. The scent sounds fantastic. I love watching your videos. Have a great day. 😍 😍
Thank you Barbara! I wish it would stay that color but it seems most pumpkin fragrances have the vanillin in them.
It even looked like puréed pumpkin when you poured it into the mould
Loving that colour
Thank you Susan! It would be fun if it held. I did make unscented pumpkin soap one year just to have that glorious color!
You made a lovely simple soap, I love listening to you talk away explaining why/what as your making the soap. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much!
OH MY GOSH! Beautiful! . . So excited Holly xxx
Thank you Karyn!
Hi, I love how detailed you are!!
Thank you Paola!
yes... been waiting for this! pumpkins... 😍
Thank you!
Looks amazing. I think sometimes I get caught up in the fancy multi color soaps and I forget how cool a solid color can be too!
Thank you! Yes, I love solid colored soap. It can be so comforting.
Holly, that soap batter looked like a huge pot full of my pumpkin pie filling. What a lovely soap--can't wait to buy a bar or 3 :-)
Thank you Virginia! I have been so ready for a pumpkin pie because of this soap.
Oh I love pumpkin soaps! I love the smell of pumpkin pie lol 😋. I have to make some now lol, thanks Holly.
Thank you!
Wonderful video Holly, Thank you. I'm looking forward to the next soap release.
Thank you Shannon! We're working hard to be ready!
What a beautiful pumpkin colour 🎃 thanks for sharing, such fun 😀
Thank you Paul!
Thanks for your videos. Love them! I’m always amazed at how easily you pour those big pots! You have some really good muscles!!
Thank you Helen! I've developed the muscle memory but it took about a year.
I love the way this turned out, I bet it smells so amazing!!
Thank you! It does smell great!
Oh, Holly, That is some gorgeous soap, Thank you
Thank you!
Looks like you’re making a huge pumpkin pie!! Can’t wait to try it!!
It does for sure! Thank you!
It looks so nice and creamy, always love watching and listening to you make soap my friend! I hope and pray you guys move to Montana, closer to me!! 🙏😃
Thank you Mel! Oh yes, I can't wait to be closer to you!
Makes me think of pumpkin bread when it has that darker color around the outside edge… Yum!

Oh yeah, it would! I find tomato soup is a bit orangey for sure. I hope your move is going okay!
I thought the exact same thing ,
Love the farm house collection
Thank you Cindy! I did as well.

That always blows me away too! Haha! We have canned EVERYTHING here. Pumpkin is such a huge thing for us in the US.
Yes, same here in NZ, I really want to try a pumpkin pie 🥧
ooh, the scent sounds fabulous!!
Thank you Teri!
I did not realize real foods could go into soap. Your explanation makes sense
The finished product looks so much like dulche de leche! It honestly looks really yummy! hahaha
Hey! Holly, when you were doing your blending the noises reminded me of a machine in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory! With you it would be Bubbly Holly and soap satisfactory!! 😀. Lovely jubbly . Thanks 💜
That's funny! Thank you Sarah!
This is going to be so fun to use!
Thank you!
I seriously love pumpkin anything everything 🥰
Prepaid bundle package of
“one of every item” you make for each release????
Yay! Thank you!
Do you add your milk in at room temp or straight out the fridge? Love the double mixing lol!! There is something truly special about your bars 😍
I meant to ask this very question and can we use the same “milk in oil” for any milk? (I prefer coconut or almond based milks)
It depends on how warm my base oils are. If they are warm, I'm fine adding the milks cold. But if my oils are at room temperature, I will usually let the milks sit out for 20 minutes or so.
I most often use coconut milk in the same way.

Nice pumpkin soap

Would love to hear more about the qualities, pro's and con's, of using a particular type of fat. You mentioned a bit about coconut stripping the skin.
❤I'll try this one soon.🎉
It's so good!
Is the fragrance oil a special/secret blend? This soap is just lovely. I too love making simpler soaps!
Thank you Caleb! It's Pumpkin Picking from WSP.

Hi Susan. I don't add any additional sugars except when I am using honey. As you said, it just comes naturally from the milks and such.
That’s a pretty soap!
Thank you Lisa!
Can u give recipe for this fragrance oil or where to buy ?
I don't actually remember what I used here. I have notes but not accessible to me at the moment.
Hi Holly, nice soap, how does the pumpkin make your skin feel because I'm thinking of making some myself? Could you tell me what the name of your scent is, or is it a secret?
Thank you! The pumpkin doesn't change the soap a whole lot but I think it gives it a silky feeling. I used Pumpkin Pickin' from WSP.
Love your videos, thanks for sharing
Thank you Vanessa!
It looks kind of like the pieces of pumpkin bread that you get at Starbucks. 😋
Oh nice! Pumpkin bread sounds yummy!
Hi Holly, I been thinking of y'all and your soaps making. I hope y'all are doing good and almost done building your shop soon and next well be your dream house 🏠.
Thank you Ramonita! The workshop isn't done yet but hopefully in the next 6 weeks or so.
the smell of the soap sounds like a fresh baked pumpkin pie.
It is a nice warm fragrance. It does lack the pie crust and vanilla notes though.
That looks amazing. Do you mind sharing your soap dimension and weight. Thanks
Thanks! They're the usual 3.5 x 2.5. I cut at 1.25 and my bars typically weigh around 5.5-6 oz.
@@moriversoap Thanks😀

Yummy looking! 🎃
I wish it would have stayed that glorious orange. How fun that would have been!
Oh it looks so glorious and creamy. Thanks Holly :) also that thumbnail is so beautiful.
Yay! Thank you!
Do you do an eggnog and nutmeg soap?
I don't. Every year I think about doing an eggnog soap but then don't because of all the extra ingredients in the eggnog itself. I need to try it one year just to test it out and see how it holds up.

Is that mold a drawer
It's a wooden box my husband made for me.
Why the oils were reddish color before you add the pumpkin purée?
As mentioned in the video, it's because I was using a darker cocoa butter.
On the ingredient label of the can, does it really list pumpkin or squash
It lists organic pumpkin.
Ik what you gonna say.."Don't do it!"
But I'm seeing this soap mix & I'm thinking it's a delicious pumpkin soup or sweet potato thing & I just wanna eat it😅🤣
Haha! I think it might have inspired some fall baking/cooking.
Awesome Sause Holly
Thank you!
Just wondering how much scent did you pour in
I use the standard 5% of oil weight unless the fragrance has usage rates that are less than that.
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Beautiful! What is in Montana? Why Montana?
Thank you! I grew up in Montana and just want to go home.
@@moriversoap oh I can totally understand that. Don’t deny yourself anything after 50. Just do it.

how did you calculate the pumpkin into your recipe?
I am always cautious with the additives. So I don't go as high as is sometimes suggested. I usually use 4 oz or less for a massive batch of soap.
@@moriversoap thanks, great video!
Thank you
Thanks for watchin!
Looks like a slab of toffee.👌
Was wondering about your mold
My husband built this mold for me. I can't remember which one it is but I have him design them to be 18 inches long.
I hear that Montana is beautiful! I’m from Canada & I’d love to move there!
Yes! It's amazing...especially the NW part for me.
I noticed lately soap gets fast at tracing, not giving thought time to work with it..
I think temperature/seasonal changes play a part in it too.
