His up air and down special are a reference to the episode “A Rickconvenient Mort” when he needs to get all of the element rings to get his new girlfriend and he has to fight 4 people with each element and once he kills them he takes their ring one being dirt and fire which he yells in the game

I really like morty but early game with morty is hard. he’s like Tom and jerry, especially once you get his perks, lots of set up and lots of payoff if you get enough hours on him. He’s just complicated but I think he’s less complicated than Tom and jerry.
My favorite part was when morty says it mortin time and morts all over those guys
I think mortty is extremely fun to play but In 1v1 if both players pick morty it is so unfun and slow paced sometimes it feels like because of the skill required for him he becomes very iritating to do mirror matches due to the setups required
The dirt thing is from the episode where morty simps for Planetina (or whatever her name was) and he takes the four rings of the kids who can summon her to set her free (aka he uses the dirt ring)

The big arm was from the episode Rick mancing the stone and they went to get isatobe 322 and rick uses muscle memory thingy and injects it into his arm making it huge.
I know he got his big arm from an episode but I like to think that he got that by stroking his lil Morty
