Hi, these wise words are nothing but sacrifices to the algorithm
So... when's Story Time with Captain Xavier: Attack of the Mosquitos going to be released?
...you just heard it. That was it, that was the whole story. :P
@@CaptainXavierboom, beginning, middle and end. Done
Fun Fact : Mega XL fits over the plastic scar muzzle and can be fired from it like a garand rifle grenade. It can consistently hit a Porta Potty at 60 feet with them. Have fun with that one lol.
The 3d printed solid adjustable spacer won't work because the spring is just a little bit skinner, but the one from Transmogrification labs will work
Another fine review, Captain, thank you! And as someone who breaks into a cold sweat at the sight of a screwdriver, I fully agree, I love the accessibility this offers for getting into the hobby on a competitive level.
I really like the build quality of mine, I am looking forward to tricking it out a little. I also like that when this gets into the hands of the regular toy customers that it will show what is possible at this excellent value proposition and cause the next wave from Dart Zone, Xuru, and Nerf to be even more impressive (in general not just performance).
You mean the next wave from Dart Zone and Zuru. Hasbruh has given up on the hobby side.
I got the zuru long shot and it has all sorts of issues. It’s fun to take apart and mess with, but the nexus was perfect out of the box. Primes and shoots like a dream.
There's a very good render of the internals on the walmart website product page.
0:11 The best way to start a video 😂
The Nexus Pro X is actually a really good blaster. My team mate was using it at the Maryland Foam Tournament, and managed to get quite a few tags with it.
P.S. he used a custom spacer, about the same size as a Trion spacer and get it up to 230 FPS. And the prime wasn't rough at all
someone claimed to get over 300 fps using the high power spring + 3 spacers (two are included in the kit, they used something custom AFAIK) + a 35cm barrel, so I hope you do a follow up video on getting this to shoot both at 300 and 100. Would be a VERY good and cheap option for newcomers.
Respect for doing the slamfire test for the Aeon in this video! Great review overall, cant wait to get my hands on these blasters
100% agreed, Capt. Thank you for the review.
You can buy the dartzone spring kit to shot 250fps and lower one under 130fps for 9.99
The purple is a nice color, but maybe a pinch too dark in some light. Lotta orange on there to brighten the blaster, so it passes the sniff test I think, but I'd defo want to paint it brighter.
Love your video's as usual Captain, I recently upgraded on the quality and sound on my videos, let me know what you think!
The British nerfer
I'm glad Im not the only one who has had problems with the bcar, mine tends to drift consistently to the right with the bcar and it actually does better with the scar barrel
ive heard if you twist it slightly opposite from the direction it curves to (for you if you twist it like 20 degrees left) some people have seen success with that
The regular SCAR DZ included can also serve as a post to fire Mega XL Darts.
And it’s fairly decent at That.
I was not initially going to buy a Nexus Pro X. I have blasters to fill the role already and didn’t need it. But when I actually saw it at Walmart I did a compulsive buy, and I haven’t regretted it at all.
I think I am most happy it is downward compatible to all the AF Pro/DZ Max Mags as well as standard Talons…
I really love this blaster. Probably the hardest hitting blaster I have in my collection now. The only minor complaint I have with it is the sights it comes with. The front sight is noticeably lower than the reticle's position in the scope. When attempting to line them up, you're force to aim the blaster slightly upwards. It would have been nice if you could change the elevation of the front sight to make it line up like you can with the x-shot longshot pro's front sight. Fortunately, I have a red dot optic I bought off of Amazon for $35 so I just use that instead.

Another awesome review. We got very similar results with ours. Thanks for taking us through the sweet 200fps blaster. Keep up the great work.
I swapped out the foregrip for the grip fron the original Dart Zone Pro Mk 1 and it works well.
Your range is amazing!!
man i gotta get one of these. so far i have not seen them here in canada!
Thanks for the video! Bangarang!
Are you planning on reviewing the FLP-02 Booster and FLP-04 Ogre from FlipFlopFoamFactory that you were sent?
I am. I just had to get them working...which I now have.
I can't believe you left out the most important feature! The Stock has a little orange switch that you can use to slide off the purple part to expose the Tactical Sack Holder! I mean... The instructions say that is where you put the extra o-ring, but Tactical Snacks sound better IMO
😆 Great video. Thanks, Captain!
I took a small, short machine screw and drilled a hole in the bottom of my old nexus pro stock just big enough for it to thread into the plastic and act as a set screw. Seems like the old stock feels better idk.
I chronod with the red rubies about 180-185 fps. Got same fps as you did with Embers. Rubies are way more consistantly accurate though
I'm really hoping I can get myself one of these, as I don't mod.
Hey Captain, I have a question:
BCARs, PCARs, and SCARs exist, but is there any noticeable performance difference between the three? Like, is one objectively better than the other?
Bcars are generally the best because they offer the least amount of friction. Just make sure to pick the appropriate angle for the fps you shoot at.
I broke my Nexus pro, I'm not into modding so all my blaster are stock (a few have the ar removed) I wasn't aware that dry firing was that bad for the blaster
Dry firing is bad for pretty much anything. All that energy that usually goes into the projectile has to go somewhere else. That results in significant wear and tear.
With some modifications, can you make it fully automatic?
Some modifications? No. It would require ALL of the modifications. It is currently manual pump action. To make it full auto you would either have to replace all the internals with a full-auto flywheel setup or build a motorized priming mechanism. Neither would be simple...or worth it. There already exist perfectly good full auto blasters. You would be far better off buying one of them.
Does it take harrier barrels?
Probably not? I haven't tried though.
What makes a blaster "pro"?
Shoots fast
Shoots about over 130 fps, also really good quality
@@skelepus2171 and has the ability to shoot half lengths
At approx the 1:00 mark he says "not technically a pro blaster".
Can someone else explain to me what makes a blaster pro? Definitively.
@@adamb416dart zone has a line of blasters known as their "pro line" in the same manner that Hasbro has the elite mega, modulus, etc. Pro blasters are marketed as competitive out of the box and perform as such, an example being the original dart zone "pro".
These blasters are from a different line, making them not officially "pro" blasters, however they seem to perform at a similar level to Dart Zone's pro line
Comments for the Comments god, Algorithms for the Algorithm Throne
Also really good review, love your content!
It's so um, Purpley ?
Aw man, my wallet is not going to like me. I'll add this to the shopping list for next time I'm in the US..
Head and shoulders better you say.. but is it also knees and toes better than the Aeon pro X?🤣
Can it take a K26?? 😂😂
2nd one here, btw love your videos man
"Cant aim for shi..."
The BCAR aims noticeably high. It almost has a “hop-up” effect.
And a great review. Thank you!
