    How do you know that "abutere" is in the Future? I know the conjugation of this Deponent Verb in the Future Tense (abutar, abuteris, abutetur, abutemur, abutemini, abutentur), but none of those forms are exactly "abutere" - is this an archaic form?

      Abutere is not an archaic form, but an alternative spelling of abuteris. Thanks for watching.

      @@tomharrison6372 Great question, thanks for being such a careful scholar. It is grammatically incorrect because abutere is from abutor, a deponent verb that has no active forms. So the infinitive is abuti: logeion.uchicago.edu/abutor
