That’s a good mod. Just a note, any time you rivet sheet metal alway install each rivet wet with epoxy. Then wipe off excess on outside. It keeps the panel waterproof and the rivets from working loose.
Your one of a few people that actually epoxy over holes you drill in to the body and silicone the cover. And i like how you put heat tape on your water lines👍👍 great job! You night want to keep an eye on your plastic tee's though. Mine lasted about 8 months but i live in Texas. I replaced the plastic tee's with copper ones and brazed on sone barb fittings.
I really do like this. That said, I do have a few questions. 1) Is the water potable? 2) Can it be made potable somehow? 3) How do you plan to clean the bumper inside to remove algae and mildew?
Hi Josh... great walk through, any chance you can provide us with a part list? Also, I like how you mounted the water pump within the fender rather than under the cab
I like the arb compressor under hood option....Do you notice any over heat on the engine with the air conpressor, S Pod and dual battery setup installed
Greetings from good old Germany. Was looking for some kind of tutorial, you did it, thank you very much. Will use this for my first JKUL, can you provide a list of parts you've used, please? Need to see where I can buy this on the German market
I've seen write-ups where they mount it inside the rear cargo area. Just keep in mind wherever you put the hose bib and air connection they are going to be in the way. I think a small bolt up box behind the roll-bar would be a great option personally.
Genius. I'm assuming that the bumper already has the reservoir built in. Is it insulated? I like this project a lot. Great work. Thank you sir. +Josh's Garage
Nice modification to your Jeep Josh. I like it. How do you pressurize the water? I would personally go for the same color on the plate as the Jeep itself but it is just my personal opinion. I just subscribed to your channel. Cheers from Sweden
he used a differential pressure pump (RV stores sell them). It will come on when it senses a difference in pressure...when the spigot opens, it should kick on automatically.
That stuff will get knocked off the first time on the trail. Get a door and have those items inside the well. At least you have room for this to be inside, just fix before you hang it on something and bend the panel.
he has the AEV bumper with tank. FYI, the stock bumper will hold 6-7 gallons of water if you close up the drain holes (4). several write ups to do that on youtube
The end product came out looking awesome!

Why thank you! I appreciate the tip.
Awesome! Just need a beer tap now and you're all set!
Next, microwave installation. And might as well add a fridge. Neat video thanks...
Put some of that blue tape on the bottom of your jigsaw, prevents scratches. Great job btw.
That's pretty rad. Great video
Neat idea, but would be an issue in North Dakota winters
Forget the water, plumb in a beer tap!
Great video. I would have never even thought of this. I'm going to implement it on my 1998 dodge. I'll let you know how it goes. Definitely subscribed
Very cool, would love to do that with my old rover
I could NEVER drill into my actual car!!!
How much are those panels if one fucks it up?
gotta use a center punch

I'm not an expert on potable water, so I'd rather not say. And I empty the tank after each trip and live in a very dry climate.
Good work Josh

yes please parts list
I added the parts list in the description above. Some parts like hoses and tape are self explanatory. Check it out.

maybe you could put a cover and lock on it so it's safe from squirrly animals and maybe it'll look good too

focus is important
What is holding the quick release coupler?..
that's a really awesome setup but is there a way to mount it inside the truck? I know I would rip that right off in the trails

You need a dremel my friend

It is inbuilt
great vid! love the jeep. just subscribed!
Dam that’s bad ass!
you holding your thumb under that piece in the direct path of the jigsaw was making me hella nervous
Did anyone else say Bless you when he sneezed?
Hey mate
Why were your holes so bigger u cut out
Yeah, it was painful to see the size of those holes on the quarter panel 😢 but other then that great idea!
@Josh's Garage - Josh, this is one of the coolest mods I've seen! You've got my sub. Also, I really like your wheels, what is the make/model?
Thanks. Those are AEV Pintler wheels. Not sure if they make them anymore
@@joshsgarage1545 - Thanks for the quick response Josh. Have a great weekend.
Can't say I would have ruined my quarter for that, each to their own.
Impressive
What air pump did you install
The ARB dual compressor. Did a video on it here ruclips.net/video/X2QWilGEyU4/видео.html
Did you have to vent the tank?
Yeah, the AEV bumpers have a vent molded into them on the top which is run up into the fender well
Nice modification to your Jeep Josh. I like it.

Can you air up all tires without worrying about the compressor overheating, or how does that work?
The compressor will take the heat, but I've melted a couple hoses around the fittings trying to air up all 4 without a break
Why not just use the compressor to pressurize the water tank
then the tank has to be pressure rated. the differential pump will just pressurize the output side on demand.
bad ass bro!!
What brand and information do you have on the water pump
Good question. I used this pump amzn.to/2IxZndp
Did you buy a bumper that can hold water? Is so where did you get it?
Yes! This is the one - www.aev-conversions.com/product/jk-rear-bumper-tire-carrier/
Genius
were did you get the rear bumper,or it is a oem bumper?
oem for certain years, you will need to plug up a couple drain holes on the bottom of the bumper and make a fill hole and a feed hole.
Jesus, it's not an OEM bumper. This is an AEV Rear Bumper. (American Expeditionary Vehicles)
How do you get on board water?
he has the AEV bumper with tank. FYI, the stock bumper will hold 6-7 gallons of water if you close up the drain holes (4). several write ups to do that on youtube
Christ that’s a lot of work for something that can fail. Why not just carry water? Just curious.
ممتاز جداً ..😁😎
Gloves with a drill press are a bad idea.
and no gloves on any of the other sheet metal work... ;-)
Bill McGaw good God dude! Is this what you do all day? Chiming in on every comment? SMFH
Josh this is terrible installation, I would take this video off don't let anybody see it
