Thank you. I did make that call one time, happy I e learned, and thank you for noting the sea turtle facts. Was watching this to gather facts to share in a handwritten card that has a honu on the cover.
I REMEMBER AS A KID GROWING UP ON KAUA'I IN THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES TURTLE WAS A DELICACY. A LOT OF OUR FAMILIES HAD SHELLS HANGING ON THEIR WALLS. I STILL BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF A LOTTERY FOR "US" HAWAIIANS. IN MY OPINION THEY ARE OVER POPULATED NOW. ALOHA FROM KAUA'I!
@@milk_bath DO YOU LIVE ON KAUA'I HOME TO MY DADS HAWAIIAN ANCESTORS? IF NOT THEN YOU HAVE NOT SEEN OUR OCEANS FILLED WITH TURTLES. I AND ALL OTHER NATIVE HAWAIIANS WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RESPONSIBLE TYPE OF LOTTERY FOR US HAWAIIANS SO WE CAN DO WHAT OUR ANCESTORS DID IN THE PAST. WE AS HAWAIIANS HAVE THEE MOST UPMOST RESPECT FOR OUR RESOURCES UNLIKE EVERY OTHER CULTURES IN THE WORLD! THAT IS WHY HAWAII IS STILL ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES ON EARTH TO THIS DAY! ALOHA FROM BEAUTIFUL KAUA'I!
@@keithcontrades1191 "IF NOT THEN YOU HAVE NOT SEEN OUR OCEANS FILLED WITH TURTLES" This is anecdotal, at best, and does not disprove the data of the endangered level of the sea turtles population. "I AND ALL OTHER NATIVE HAWAIIANS WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE THAT..." You absolutely do not speak for all Hawaiians, native or otherwise. You need to check yourself. "...SO WE CAN DO WHAT OUR ANCESTORS DID IN THE PAST." White American's ancestors were colonizers, should current whites also do what their ancestors did? "HAWAIIANS HAVE THEE MOST UPMOST RESPECT FOR OUR RESOURCES UNLIKE EVERY OTHER CULTURES IN THE WORLD! " Yeah, how do you know this for a fact? Have you visited or studied all other cultures? I doubt it, and you sound like a typical ignorant patriotic white from the the states. You seem to have a lot of feelings, but you have failed to back any of them up with facts. If you love your island like I do as well, you should learn about its current state and try to do better at protecting and conserving it.

They are not “over populated”. They are an endangered species; please have some respect for their existence.
