Drama Workshop for d/Deaf Children

The Grand Opera House and Cre8 Theatre present this exciting Drama Workshop for children in the d/Deaf community in NI.
This workshop is an introductory drama class for 8 - 12 year olds, who are interested in developing their confidence and creative skills and explore the performing arts in an inclusive and accessible environment.
Suitable for those children who have an interest in drama but haven’t had the chance to get involved with a youth drama group. This fun workshop will include drama games, movement and stretching, group work, mime, sign names and finger spelling. It will also include visual storytelling and making short scenes.
The workshop is open to all. No previous experience is required.
Access and inclusion
The workshop will feature:
- BSL interpreter
- Captioning (of some elements)
- Physical workshopping
- Loop system
This workshop will be facilitated by Deaf artist and performer Paula Clarke.
Parents will not be required to stay with their children in the workshop.
